Amazing food and drink, very knowledgable staff and friendly too
Visited Hotel Gotham for afternoon tea. What a fabulous experience from moment of arrival. We were met by Sean at reception who took us up to 6th floor. Sean was so professional and friendly and made you feel at ease immediately. All the staff at the Hotel were first class - this hotel has it just right. Afternoon tea was delicious- as was the champagne. I can’t wait to return - a wonderful experience - very special.
Would highly recommend.
Gorgeous atmosphere, fantastic service, overall experience was just lovely.
Absolutely fabulous, food was great and the staff are so attentive and very friendly. Definitely dine/stay again.
I loved the gentleman who greeted us as we entered the hotel. He looked so authentic and made us feel really welcome. Walking into Honey literally takes your breath away - the decor is outstanding and the views across Manchester are amazing. We had afternoon tea with champagne and it was excellent. The food was plentiful, the choice of teas mind boggling and the champagne was perfect. We had the best service from Antonio and the team around we’re on hand to help when he was serving elsewhere. It was just fabulous.
We were staying at the hotel and booked the restaurant for dinner. The food was outstanding. We had the steak and duck for main and the cheesecake for dessert.
Throughly enjoyed the food and the waiting staff were excellent. Great place for dinner.
This is a good event. My friends and I have a lovely time there.
Had a lovely Champagne afternoon tea for my friends 60th birthday.
Food was well presented and delicious, especially the GF option.
Thought the afternoon tea was good value.
We ordered an extra bottle of Champagne at the cost of £75 and was surprised that we did not receive a clean glass with the new bottle. Wondered if this was the same we had in the previous glass.
As we were there for my friends birthday we did not mention this at the time.
We also were not going to pay the service charge which a lot of restaurants seem to pop in at the end of the bill.
Had my friend not been there we would have queried these points with the manager at the time.
Maybe you could address this with the staff and we may return to Honey.
Really loved our meal here, outstanding service and amazing food highly recommend
We were instantly greeted by the woman that seated us, and the chef said hello as well. Unfortunately I don't remember her name (24/7/19 7.30pm) but she was extremely attentive, topping up our water and wine all night for us. She was really friendly and talked us through the menu as well as giving recommendations and having a laugh with us.
The food was phenomenal. I had the set menu and the Asparagus starter was delicious, and the cauliflower risotto was amazing-the marmite butter its made with is genius. My boyfriend had the main menu scallop starter and duo of lamb main and repeatedly said how great all of the food was.
The ambience was great as the decoration was interesting and light, and the location is great so you get a 6th floor view of the city from your table. There was a martini bartender who clearly loves what he does and passionately talked people through what a martini is and how to choose what you like so that was fun to observe.
This was a birthday treat meal for me but would also be great for an evening with the girls or just a nice evening alone for a good coffee and desert with the paper.
Highly recommend everything about Honey!
Had a great time at the Gotham Honey Restaurant. Service was great and food was delicious. It was my partners birthday and everyone made the effort to make the occasion special
Really enjoyed the afternoon tea in very pleasant surroundings. The staff were attentive without being overly fussy. Would definitely go back.
This was the third time we have had afternoon tea at the Gotham, and as always we were felt to be made special from the moment we arrived. We would highly recommend the afternoon tea to anyone wanting something a little bit different, we are already planning our next visit.
Lovely afternoon tea at The Gotham, excellent attentive service. Maybe a bit more filling in the finger sandwiches would have been better.
Staff were v nice but service v slow and not really up to scratch - always having to ask for milk refills rather than staff noticing need for refill.
Sandwiches and cakes rather disappointing- pastry was vvv hard
Big case of could do better- room for improvement
Sorry- would have liked to have been more positive
It was very nice and a nice glass of champagne which could have been topped up slightly for a full glass. The scones could have been lighter but a nice treat none the less for a Saturday afternoon out.
We had an amazing time celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. The staff were aware of our celebration and this was beautifully cared for with a surprise "sweet" and glass for my darling wife. The food is exceptional and the drinks great (maybe a bit pricey). However the overall experience was perfect. Thank you.
Excellent service, fabulous food. Alexander was great at suggesting a wine to accompany dinner. Perfect evening.
Afternoon tea was lovely. Prices for drinks are relatively expensive but excellent quality. Service was on the slow side. Very nice location and setting but not much atmosphere - we went at 4pm so maybe that was a timing thing.
Lovely food, great service and gorgeous cakes on the afternoon tea
Afternoon tea was lovely, with great views of Manchester. Food received was slightly different from menu but still enjoyed it all.
excellent place to spoil the one you love, service fantastic
Lovely welcome. Beautifully decorated. Amazing food.
Lovely environment for afternoon teawith attentive servers
I loved the experience. It is a beautiful hotel and the staff are great. They are so friendly, helpful and accomodating. Unfortuantly the food did not live up to my expectations. The scones were beautiful but all the other cakes were really dry and not enjoyable. The sandwiches had not much taste either. I was really disappointed especially as it was a birthday treat for one my friend and myself and I was looking forward to this day for a long time.
Fabulous place, fabulous service, fabulous food. Really looked after us and took us up to the terrace bar which had amazing views. Well worth the money and will be returning 😃
Had afternoon tea very nice food, really professional and friendly staff. Restaurant and hotel highly recommended.
Overall the afternoon tea and experience was lovely, however a few small areas that let it down.
We were asked what we wanted to drink after the afternoon tea had arrived, may be a personal thing, but I feel this should be asked and organised first.
Food wise, the feta wrap was very lacklustre in comparison to the rest of the options. The smoked salmon bagel was amazing, I could have eaten a plate of them!
The afternoon tea was a little disappointing for the price. The sandwiches in particular as the bread was stale and the fillings were quite bland. It may be different if you are dining in the evening and order from the main menu.
This is the second time we've been here for afternoon tea. After going to a few this is still my favourite. Great service, good food and a lovely ambiance. We even made it into the members only terrace bar upstairs where the service moves up a notch. Excellent and I'll be back.
This was a birthday treat and sadly we were so disappointed with the seating, wobbly table, no knifes or forks, waiting for tea and coffee and then you see what £75.00 looks like on three tiers and it’s not good!
There is a lot of waiters and waitresses walking past your table very fast for some reason.
Food was fabulous, service was very poor. 25 minutes to get a menu after seating, 20 minutes to get a drink, is that the norm?
I brought my Mum and Aunt for afternoon tea on Mothers Day afternoon as we recently lost my Nana. their Mum so this was a challenging day for us all.
Having stayed in the hotel last year with my partner and we absolutely loved it I was looking forward to bringing them.
It was £35 for afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco as we were toasting a memory to our recent loss on a special day.
Although the waiter was lovely, the food was a huge disappointment and when I challenged the large service charge also added on the £100 bill the staff became quite 'miffed.' with me.
I didn't challenge this on the day as we were really trying to have a nice time but at that amount of money, we didn't!
We left and went to a neighbour restaurant that had £25 for a 2 course meal on offer and a bottle of wine for £10!
Such a shame when I used money I had saved and the food was a huge disappointment and not value for money.
The food and wine was amazing. But unfortunately both the bar and restaurant were too cold
Hello, Thank you for your compliments. We are glad you had a lovely time with us. However, our apologies for this inconvenience. You should have tell us. We could turn on the heating. We look forward to seeing you again, Honey Restaurant
Rather average. 40+ minute wait for food. Waitress not quite sure about the menu and rather keen to up sell. Not really the standard we would expect from an apparent 5 star hotel.

Lovely time. Staff were fab especially the doorman!
Hello, Thank you for your compliments. We are glad you had a lovely time with us. We look forward to seeing you again, Honey Restaurant
Amazing from start to finish our waiter was great the food delicious and the setting first class
Food was very average, and drinks were heavily over priced
I treated my friend to afternoon tea for her birthday. We got there 30 minutes early and they sat us down straight away.
The waitress asked if we had any dietary requirements and I advised that one of us doesnt eat fish and asked if she could switch this for something else. She said this was fine.
We ordered drinks and these came out one at a time. It was 1 hour in that we finally got served and we were still given 2 salmon sandwiches. The staff were not attentive and therefore did not get the chance to switch this.
After we finished the waiter asked of we were ready for prosecco and confirmed he would bring this out. Over 30 minutes later we had to chase him for it.
We were not advised as to when we could have the prosecco and were not offered any tea. The staff were not attentive and extremely slow.
Our dietary requirements were ignored and I dont understand why they needed to know if it was a special occasion, as nothing was actually done for it.
Music was randomly switched on really loud and then switched off. It was a bit of a shambles really.
Aside from that, the deco was nice.
This was a fantastic space for afternoon tea. Knowledgeable and conscientious staff, delicious food and a cosy atmosphere.
