Delicious food ! nice location and lovely service ! thanks again
Great food, friendly staff .. it was a good choice for business lunch with an overseas client!
The food and service was excellent but we got seated in the worst place next to the bar and their was a couple resting against our booth sofa and they were arguing very loudly which I feel ruined our experience. I felt the staff had noticed this and didn’t offer to place us somewhere a bit further away from the area.
Great atmosphere and good cocktails. For the price the food should be significantly better.
The food was really good. Friendly service and quick.
The staff make it super every time.
So welcoming ,friendly and just blooming super.
I was so disappointed by almost everything at this restaurant. Service was terrible the whole time we were there. £26 for a steak that was almost completely fat and gristle - the waitress didn’t even notice that I didn’t eat 95% of it. Some examples: were given 1 menu between 3, the waitress was too busy talking to tell me where the bathroom was (even though I’d got up and stood right next to her) and we left to go get drinks in another bar as we couldn’t get anyone’s attention for another bottle of wine.
A nice place, but the service was very slow.
The food was okay, I mean to say it is nothing that I will remember in a few days.
Let down by the service which was slow and at times non existent.
Had a lovely afternoon at Hoxton grill. Food was really nice. I had roast beef. You get asked how you like your beef. Had plenty of roast potatoes veg. My daughter had kids meal which was a good size. Husband had the roast to he said it’s the best roast his had out. The waitress was very helpful and nice. Couldn’t fault it. Will be going back soon.
Just love it at the hoxton!
Every time it just gets better
Fantastic staff and a buzzy atmosphere
Lovely restaurant , great service and excellent food . Will be back
Great meal, service and overall experience. Can not fault anything. Would definitely go back again
Food was good and arrived reasonably quickly after ordering however the service was painfully slow. It took 1hr 30 mins, for my party of two to receive one round of drinks and a main course each. We considered dessert however abandoned this as we didn’t wish to wait any longer, particularly after we had been sat with the dessert menus for more than 20 mins before being asked if we wished to order.
Hoxton Grill is a lively restaurant, owing to a busy bar area. My partner had the Butlers Steak and I had Flat Iron Chicken. Both dishes were cooked well and nicely presented. I felt the food wasn't very good value for money, as this is essentially a casual dining restaurant, but the prices did not reflect that. However, I would eat here again as the atmosphere was good. Although next time I would request booth seating.
Great atmosphere and food. We had three people with gluten allergies and the staff and chef were amazing.
Good food (especially the dessert choices, the Oreo cheesecake was superb) and nice selection of cocktails. Service was just ok on a busy Friday evening, the staff could have being a bit more attentive. Unfortunately the place was quite noisy. We literally have to shout over each other to be heard. There is no physical separation between the bar and the restaurant. Meaning the DJ playing music filtered through into the restaurant completely. Feels like you’re eating in a nightclub which kind of ruins the atmosphere of a nice chilled out Friday night dinner.
That's a shame because it's an excellent place...
Was sat down and over half the menu was sold out by 5pm on a Sunday. Slow service even for water
Dissappointed this week, really looking forward to a roast dinner, sat ordered drinks and food, then 20 mins later said sorry no roast dinners left !! This should of been said before we ordered !!!
Great restaurant, really classy vibe, and great food. I went for my birthday and the service was brilliant- I was even given a surprise marshmallow brownie with a candle. Would recommend coming here for occasions or general catch ups.
Would recommend the sharing meat box, all very good.
Service was very attentive and the cheesecake was divine.
Asked for sweet potato fries and got normal but not a big deal
We’re not sure what happened with the service but wondered if the wait staff who took our order then finished her shift and we were forgotten about! Starters came fairly quickly (very mediocre) but then we waited a full hour for our mains! We also ordered more drinks which took about 45 minutes. The place was only half full so no excuse really and once other tables who arrived well after us were getting served, we finally asked about our mains and cocktails. Still nothing happened so we asked again. At this stage one of the wait staff decided to explain to us how restaurants work: the starters come first, then the mains come after...wow, thank you, we had no idea! Anyway, eventually the mains came, we were hungry and annoyed at this point. My salmon was actually very nice. My friend’s bass was extremely dry and overcooked. Overall a very disappointing experience and supremely overpriced for an American-style diner with blah food and slow service.
The food was dry and with very little flavour. We had a nice waitress but the food was just disappointing
Always amazing service and atmosphere. Needs more Vegan options.
Would go again
Food and service excellent.
I live opposite and usually nip in here for their delicious breakfast.
Great food, good quality. Staff are nice.
The milk that came with our tea had gone off. We asked if we could have fresh milk. They then bought back new hot milk. We asked if we could then have cold fresh milk and it took a long time for them to bring this new milk.
The food itself was very nice.
Some of the menu items had changed. Hash browns have got smaller and some of the juices in particular the 'Green' Juice recipe had changed. I prefer the old version.
Nice vibe, great cocktails. Caesar salad is great.
Whilst the service wasn't bad it was a busy night and they definitely should have had more servers available. It's a busy place with a loud, vibrant atmosphere. A good night but nothing special. Not as good as it used to be.
Lovely place and staff. Good food. The only negative point was the noise, almost impossible for us to have a conversation due to large groups having professional christmas dinners
I read a review of top breakfast restaurants in Shoreditch and Based on the review, thought this would be a small, independent American-style diner. In fact it’s the restaurant section of a vaguely boutique hotel.
My pancakes tasted rather hard and stale, not soft and fresh (I did ask our waiter if they were fresh rather than from the buffet and she said they were freshly cooked). Having had pancakes, syrup and bacon all over the world these were some of the most average.
My smoothie was very good, my wife’s not fresh, but from a bottle.
Coffees were small, but good.
Overall nothing awful, but this is not a top Shoreditch breakfast destination in my opinion.
Too chill but has amazing food. They probably make the best sweet potato fries ever.
Great evening, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious as always. Took friend there for the first time and they really enjoyed the ambience. I go regularly and never disappointed
Hoxton Grill is and always will be my go-to.
The greeting is always warm and welcoming and the meal is always good; never had a bad meal there. My friend went for the Sunday lunch which was a decent size and looked delicious.
I highly recommend The Hoxton Grill any time and any day of the week.
The Sunday roast is excellent. Delicious rib eye beef and cauliflower cheese. However desserts (brownie and chocolate torte) were quite average. Buzzy atmosphere means the main dining area can get very noisy. The atrium is much quieter, providing there aren’t any large groups.
Food was mostly cold
The argentinian waitress was super nice offering varios solutions as we were with mu grandma, and it was loud, thanks to her!
Nice, lively ambience. Good quality food. Great lounge music.
The restaurant was far too noisy! Like eating in a Club . Very disappointing
I’m not someone to write reviews often, but I felt compelled to do so, because my meal was just that terrible. I Had arguably the worst steak in my life in this restaurant. It was so tough I could not even finish 1/4 of it and felt terrible afterwards. Barely any seasoning. I would pick school dinners over it any day. The service for the most part was poor. Grabbing a waiters attention was a task in itself. A positive would be that they were very attentive with allergies, but that is a given in most restaurants today and it looks like a good place for work drinks. For the price I certainly wouldn’t recommend, Blacklock restaurant is just down the road and it is infinitely better! In hindsight I truly regret paying for my meal, because after I left I did not have the feeling of being satisfied but that I had been robbed.
Great lively atmosphere, tasty food and a enjoyable experience
