In Parma by Food Roots
Covering the widest range of Italian Charcuterie & Cheese personally sourced only for our restaurant to savour with our special dry red sparkling wine strictly served in bowls. Specialising in home-hand-made pasta dishes including Anolini in Brodo and Tortelli d'erbetta from Parma, Lasagne, Gnocchi and gluten-free Polentas from the rest of Italy.
Tucked away on a small quiet pedestrian lane parallel to Charlotte Street, in the lively Fitzrovia, in a rustic still elegant environment where a red Berkel meat slicer and dangling charcuterie give clear hints to the provenance.
Saturday 1.00pm to 11.30pm
Sunday 1.00pm to 10.30pm
Just avoid, with all nice places in London this is a waste of time and money.
Staff was very nice and constantly apologetic, a couple of teens exploited by a greedy manager. They had to deal with around 40 customers complaining because the food was too slow to arrive, too cold, not available.
We were a small group, had to wait overall 2.5h for:

2.5h!!! I waited 1 hour for a bresaola with a bufala mozzarella as small as a £2 note.
It was super hot, smelly and it rained inside.
I am not coming back even though the food is decent. There are so many decent places in London, at a cheaper price, faster, in a nicer infrastructure.
Definitely, one of my favourite Italian spots in London. The food is amazing, from the tagliolini al ragu’ to the polenta. This is the place where I keep bringing my friends and family with any excuse.
Authentic Italian food. Just like being in Italy. Loved it! Highly recommend.
Rather disappointed, given all the good reviews on this site. Service very good but the portions for the main course were too small. "Not enough to keep body and soul together" as my mother would have said.
Portions are a bit small. Platter with four small pieces of parmiggiano, and prosciutto crudo was average.
A sweet little place with good food, great wine and fantastic service! Can get very noisy with large groups and not much space between tables, but good venue for an authentic quick bite...
Service was lovely however the food has gone downhill. Fewer options, poorer quality. Barely any taste. Not good value for money. It’s a shame. This place used to be amazing
We had such a great time at Parma. In a Nice street, we were welcomed by friendly people.
The food is delicious. The bill is decent since the products are of great quality.

Second time here, great food, authentic like being back in Parma. Love the Lambrusco. Service is great and reasonably priced for a central London place.

All round a great place
Having looked at the website once there we we found the food a little disappointing, not really any different from other decent Italian restos, but nothing special. Cosy restaurant though although inflexible in their approach to ordering wine by the glass.....this restaurant is a missed opportunity.....could be much better if the management cared to make that extra effort. They did not when we were there.
We regularly host small business dinners at In Parma, its unique atmosphere and the authentic Italian menu make this a solid neighbourhood choice. It's rustic style and the honest simple dishes are always a hit with our clients. If you are so inclined, the extensive Lambrusco wine-list offers an opportunity to reconsider this somewhat unusual drink. I am still not convinced, but its good fun to try and where else in London do you get to drink sparkling red wine in a small ceramic bowl?
Lovely little spot, very friendly, not too busy on a Sunday evening. Cold meats very fresh and tasty, pasta main courses all good too.
Fantastic meal from the food to the wine with impeccable service!
We enjoyed the food, only the second time we have been the first was exceptional nice and relaxed. Unfortunately this time it was very much a fast food experience, everything was very rushed. No sooner was our first course plates were cleared the main arrived straight away, then i had just put down our cutlery for our main and somebody stepped up straight away and took the plates, did not even ask have you finished. I know you have a 2hr policy but no one mentioned this so thought we would not be rushed so much, spoilt our evening.
A casual business lunch for a large group - we all enjoyed the mixed cheese and salami/ hams - great quality. The pasta also great, Brodo had fabrastic flavour akin to my experience of living in Italy but could have been a bit hotter.
Service was friendly but a bit ad hoc - had to ask for the order to be taken, focaccia was forgotten and it seemed texting may have been more vital at one point rather than an awareness this was a lunch break.
Since this was a first visit and definitely authentic would still recommend .

There was an incredible noisy table next to us which sort of spoiled our evening. It’s a tiny place and last time we ate here we really appreciated the size of the restaurant and the intimate atmosphere. If they weren’t there it would have been a much more pleasurable meal.
On the spare of the moment I needed to take 11 clients out to dinner. Put this in Open table and it came up with this. Not disappointed at all in fact it was a hit with the Clients and myself. Ricardo talked to us about all the authentic Italian dishes and they were delicious. I feel like keep this restaurant a secret now I have found it. Would highly recommend it.

An excellent evening and as the restaurant suggests, something a little different. Delicious cheese and meat platters to start and superb pasta, simple dishes done very well with great ingredients.
The reviews of this are pretty good and the menu looked tasty and reasonably priced. However the main meals were very average and I've made a better bolognese at home. I've recently spent some time in Tuscany (not too far away from Parma) and even fairly average looking places there served better food than Parma by Food Roots. It lacked anything special.
And also there was no prosecco.
Brilliant Italian food, super cost atmosphere and true value for money! Have been multiple times and it always lived up to expectations! Make sure you get the best sellers meat and cheese platters!
I visited InParma for my other halfs birthday lunch. The restaurant was small but had a welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the the food was authentic and tasty
The relaxed Neighbourhood feel of this restaurant, its excellent food and the friendly service make this a real gem in amongst many of the restaurants that make up this part of London. I recommend the great charcuterie platters and excellent Polenta dishes.
A tasty spot in central London for authentic cuisine from Parma (think parma ham, parmigiano reggiano cheese, and ragu pasta!). The pasta was al-dente as it should be, and the service was quick and friendly. Expect hanging meats.
This is a great gem in the neighborhood, really fantastic Italian food, great service and a nice ambiance.
The best in London so far, to taste proper egg-prepared fresh pasta. Whether with their anolini or the ravioli or the tagliatelle. The dry meats are not as good as the ones you can find in Italy or in some Italian delis around London. Lambrusco wine choice is good.
Very good dinner. True Italian, with homemade and local dishes. Service was great too, the staff was very friendly and shared great recommendations with us.

Simple unfussy restaurant serving lovely fresh food. Wonderful meat and cheese platters and super fresh tasting pasta.

Small restaurant with small menu but delicious Italian food typical of Parma. Cheese platters, meat platters, mixed platters, and pasta and gnocchi. Very friendly. Quite noisy when full.
I am of Italian descent and LOVE authentic Italian food. It's very hard for me to find, but we found it here at In Parma! The Anolini in Brodo was amazing. Tasted just like nonna used to make. And the variety of Italian hams and cheese was very nice. The only surprise was that pasta was thought of as a main dish (no complaints here- it's how I prefer it, but typically you would have a meat course after). The service needs some work, especially on busy nights, but I think that will come in time. We ate there two nights because it was so good :)
Great small place that serves excellent pasta for a great price. The owner is usually around and will tell you all about the King and Queen of Hams. Note that on weekends they usually ask you to leave after 2 hours (which is reasonable).
