Theatre. All great
I was absolutely delighted with our visit to Indigo. The food was of a very high standard and the beef was superbly cooked. The timing worked perfectly for a pre theatre meal and it was located close to a number of major theatres. An excellent ambiance and great service by very friendly staff. All the dishes were dairy free which was perfect for my wife who is on a low fat diet. We shall certainly return when we are next in the West End. I have already recommended the restaurant to others. Without doubt a five star experience!
Amazing service and food, I would highly recommend for anyone with food intolerances. The set menu was great value. I wish there were more gf and df places like this.
Pre theatre dinner so not much atmosphere but pleasant environment and v nice staff. We had fixed menu - beef was good, pineapple carpaccio was lovely. Staff extremely pleasant. Bit pricey but overall a good experience.
I visited Indigo with 5 friends. We had a lovely meal with very attentive service. The food was superb and we will be going back
Delicious food, helpful and friendly staff who were knowledgeable and flexible regarding my gluten free and vegan requirements. Highly recommended for those who cannot eat gluten and dairy.
This is my favourite restaurant in London! Being Coeliac it’s so nice to be able to completely relax & enjoy a stunning meal that I know is gluten free! I particularly love the home made bread which is always so special!
Delicious food, we all had the set menu, and it was a joy to be able to order anything and not worry about gluten or dairy! Every dish we had (3 of us) was absolutely delicious. The setting on the mezzanine is very nice, and it was quiet when we visited (pre-theatre).
Very good service, well-thought three course pre-theatre menu, food excellent (smallish portions). Lovely to be able to eat in a restaurant not filled with noise. Pricey.
Amazing service and really nice ambience. Hotel and restaurant have recently been refurbished, very nice space. Good GF selection for breakfast as GF menu for lunch and dinner.
Lovely, modern restaurant, nice ambiance. staff very friendly and professional. food was superb especially as everything was gluten free, it was nice to be able to eat without worrying about cross contamination etc., The bread was the only thing not very good, my husband did not appreciate at all. Although not on the menu, staff made every effort to provide lovely cheese for my husband. had a surprise little cake as it was our wedding anniversary, lovely touch. the wine wasn't overly expensive but the coffee was, single espresso 2 sips exactly at £5.50! I still would recommend this restaurant, wish there were more like it!
Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Food choice excellent would like to see a little more seasoning.
Excellent venue. Great location. Wonderful food and a very friendly very helpful team.
Simply brilliant gluten free dining experience. Efficient, attentive service and food of excellent quality. Would love to go back soon.
Food is amazing. Staff are perfect. Loving the new decor.
Just excellent all round and so easy if you have a food allergy.
The Indigo is the perfect place for someone requiring Gluten Free meals. The menu was innovative and they were very accomodating with any special requests.
I will definitely be going back.
Stan and his team were fantastic. The food was incredible. Can’t wait to return!
Really helpful, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Food was great, so good to be able to go out with a gluten free friend and not constantly have to ask questions about ingredients. Wine a bit pricey. Bread was lovely!
Great food, dessert was amazing considering it was dairy free. Service was good. Very chatty waiters. Bit noisy, my dad found it a bit hard to hear me. Clean and tidy.
Outstanding refurbishment- it looks fantastic. I have to say that every single staff member we spoke smiled, engaged, was helpful and the team are a credit to the restaurant. My wife and I had had a super anniversary and our time at One Aldwych finished it off superbly. Thanks to the who team.

There were 3 people in our party. When we visited the restaurant had only been open again for one week after a refit.
I am coeliac so it was great to go somewhere and know I could order anything off the menu. That said, I also don't eat nuts or onions so that further limited my choice. We all had different starters and mains, we all enjoyed them, and certainly my main course of asparagus with poached egg and mushrooms was particularly worthy of mention. However we all felt that all portions were on the small side and the cost was on the high side. We didn't have desserts but there were some fantastic looking ones brought to the table nearest ours. There is space around the tables, crisp white table cloths and serviettes on them, and the waiting staff were plentiful with just the right amount of attentiveness. I'd recommend for special occasions.
The Indigo had been pen for only a week following a lengthy refurbishment. Pleasant ambiance if a little clinical. Went for a pre-theatre meal. Interesting table d’hote menu and a limited a la carter gave sufficient choice and the food was well presented, tasty and satisfying. Service almost over the top but very attentive if not speedy. Recommend and we will return.
Service was great, food was excellent, great English wine on the list. Great evening
Loved this restaurant, relaxing atmosphere. Excellent friendly, helpful service. I have coeliac disease and require gluten free food, the restaurant is 100% gluten free, so felt completely safe. The food is delicious with plenty of choice. My husband who is non coeliac could not tell any difference. Would definitely return
Nice location and food was nice enough but nothing special. All the food is both gluten free and dairy free which means the menu is rather limited and would be better to serve a wider range of foods. This was especially noticed on dessert where there is a choice of 3 options. It is relatively expensive for portion sizes you get.
Service was an issue. We ordered 2 beers which took 10 minutes to come and then came separately. My wife also doesn't like peas so asked for no mushy peas with the fish and chips but it was delivered with the fish on the bed of mushy peas. It got sent back and we got a fresh one and they deducted it off the bill but if the service was better this could have been avoided.
I'm coeliac, non-dairy and egg, so to be able to find a "proper" restaurant in which I don't have to really worry about my allergies and intolerances is an absolute dream. Add to that amazing food, excellent, attentive service and great ambience in a spectacular location - what more could you want? I will be returning.
Booked the special lunchtime menu, 3 courses for £29 plus glass of Prosecco! The food was superb (as always), service excellent, and the ambiance wonderful especially following the renovation! A great venue, can’t wait to go back!
Highly recommend. The food was delicious and it was a worth while fine dining experience. Top quality food & service. Lovely venue. Some of us had dairy intolerance, some gluten, some could eat anything. We all ate top quality food and loved it all. One person had extra food intolerances (which we notified in advance) and the kitchen could accommodate.
Day 2 after reopening and they are still working out a few minor details, but overall it was wonderful food and the service was impeccable. I felt guilty getting the fish and chips in such nice surroundings, but quickly realized I was hardly alone. The chicken terrine was one of the best I have had.
The food is gluten and dairy free. I had battered cod with triple cooked chips and mushy peas. The fish was cooked to perfection and the batter very good for gluten free. The chips however were poor! Two of my three companions also had chips and were very disappointed with them. They were very hard on the outside and dry inside! We did tell the waiter to pass this information on to the kitchen.
Business meeting with a colleague
We had a great time for New Year dinner, all dishes were excellent !
Thank you for you warm welcome !
My son is coeliac so it was a joy to have a menu which was entirely gluten free. Shame it was also dairy free.
Starters were better than the mains but overall the food was good.
Best gluten/dairy free menu I’ve seen, fantastic service, great atmosphere. Really top notch all around.
Very nice venue , great service , higher end restaurant, only issue was starter of scollops was under cooked, they offered replacement which we declined but they deducted it off the bill. Overall a lovely place
Just required a quick evening dinner before going to the theatre. From arrival in the hotel foyer and throughout the meal the staff were great. They took our coats, took the meal order and provided efficient service throughout the meal.
The food was pleasant, I had the beer battered fish and chips that looked very nice but the cod was a little bland.
Nevertheless would be happy to return again in the future.
Fantastic food and great service. If you are looking for a lovely place for a special occasion for gluten free dining, this place is perfect. Strong wine list, great selection of meat, fish and vegetarian/vegan options and good service without being overbearing.
I can definitely recommend this place and look forward to going back when it reopens in Spring - it is closing after Christmas for a makeover!
We had a special offer meal which was delicious and very good value. Service excellent. Ambience congenial- lively but not noisy.
Excellent thanks best gluten restaurant we have been to
