Indigo Bar and Grill
Good good. Service lacking and be very careful you watch that your drinks aren't watered down while being made... OK, but struggling to be something different and not quite getting there. I'll not return.
2nd visit and fantastic, will be visiting again with family
The food as always is excellent which is THE reason for use to go there. We booked early 1830 thinking it would be quiet ( aged parent hard of hearing ) but unfortunately ( for us ) it was not and as the acoustics in the restaurant are not great - you can hear conversation going on at the other end of the room - the noise level was quite high. Not ideal . There was a wait for the food but when it came it was excellent and compensated for the noise - in a way.
Have not been to this restaurant for around 8 years and it has changed its menu but stayed the same apart from this. Parking easy. Tables well spaced.
Firstly I would like to say that the website
(opentable) needs to change the timings for Sunday it was very misleading saying the restaurant was open till 11pm but actually closes earlier than stated. I booked the restaurant for my wife’s birthday the service was good food was amazing
Fantastic food and attentive service without being overbearing
Most of what we ordered was delicious. The ambience however felt way too dingy and dull.
We have never had a bad, or even average, meal here. Food is excellent, all freshly cooked. The staff are attentive without making you feel rushed. Not the cheapest but definitely value for money considering the quality of the food.
By far our favourite restaurant and we only wish we lived closer so we could go more often.
Great atmosphere with Authentic North Indian food.
This was our first time at this nearby restaurant. The waiters were very welcoming and the menu was temptingly different. Food presentation was good, Portions reasonable, and prices average to high. There was a mistake overpricing of an Indian bread on the prices (noticed by comparison with take away menu). Staff apologised and made correction quickly.
Visited Indigo, near Gerrards Cross, for the first time in about a year. Nothing had changed. The food was fantastic, it's a lovely restaurant in terms of decor and the service is first class.
Will definitely go again!
Fabulous food. Definitely several marks up on the average Saturday night Indian. Exquisitely prepared meals with lovely ingredients. They were also very amenable towards the 'very mild' request from one of our party. It's a shame there weren't more people there but I guess you could put it down to recession and not such brilliant weather.
Didn't know what to expect but given it was close to the office, I decided to take some visiting Indian colleagues for a version of their cuisine. They and I certainly enjoyed the food. Some really unusual dishes and all served very well. I'll definitely return
really enjoy eating at Indigo, the whole experience is enjoyable.
As always, lovely food, wonderful staff. Really love goingf to Indigo.
Our first visit to the Indigo Bar. The menu has lots of choice and has quite a few unusual dishes on it. The service was prompt and very friendly and the food was delicious, piping hot and with a reasonable chilli kick. Great flavours. As it was a Monday evening, the restaurant was a bit quiet but I would imagine it would be great for a group, as it's big.
This is a very nice Asian Restaurant, not what you might expect. Not just Indian dishes, But Thai as well. The staff are very hospitable and give great service. It's not a cheap place to eat but is worth it, for a special occasion. We will go back again.
We hired the Private Back Room to watch a football game here - whilst the quality of the food at Indigo is exceptional - the offer of 'The Banquet' for £25 a head that we took was a BAD decision. The starters were amazing, the best I have ever tasted. But the main was where the whole thing turned into something of a waste of money. 8 of us were initialy given enough to feed 4 and the dishes were limited to 2 different items, one chicken and one lamb (which consisted of minced lamb - hardly the most appetising thing on the menu!), despite being told we would get a mixture of hot and mild dishes..... I would eat here again, but not be sold into buying the banquet!
A rare find. Authentic food - you can taste the spices and herbs. Very good.
Would recommend if you care about your Indian food.
One of the most original and exciting menus. Out of town location makes it difficult to get to but definitely worth a visit if you like indian food with a twist!
We ate lunch at the Indigo Bar and Grill in Gerrards Cross on Easter Saturday. It was very quiet be had a lovely meal and the staff were very helpful. It was good value.
We had no problems with our Top Table booking for four of us. This was Good Friday and the restaurant was quite busy. From our arrival and throughout the meal the service was polite, efficient and attentive without being obtrusive. We shared fish, lamb and chicken dishes with vegetable accompaniments and each had its own fresh and distinct flavour. Excellent food and a very enjoyable evening.
Food was good (as usual) but service slow!!
Toptable offer is not being honoured! Was told by the waiter that they have "split" with Toptable and linked with Taste Card instead!
Indigo Bar and Grill in Gerrards Cross is a fantastic restaurant - fantastic food and friendly staff.
I can only imagine that the rating for Indigo is so high because of the money off deals, but we went on a Saturday when it's full price and won't be going again! The menu is limited, staff polite but maddeningly slow and the food is average.
It was so good to go to Indigo again. the staff, the food, the ambience were great and we had a really lovely evening.
I LOVE this place!
25% off was an added bonus too
Always great food, very nice atmosphere and great service
Indigo Bar Gerrards Cross was a disappointment - food was fine, but service poor. wouldn't go back.
We dined on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant was very quiet so lacked a little in atmosphere.
Food well presented and really tasty. A bit on the expensive side if eating without the TT discount.
Toilets the best our friends had seen in an Indian Restaurant!
Would recommend - good value with the 25% offer.
Indigo Bar and Grill in Gerrards Cross offers a good choice of dishes at reasonable prices. There was plenty to choose from for our vegetarian and we all enjoyed the food we ordered, which came in well-judged portions, so that for once we finished a lot of the dishes. Pleasant service but rather noisy.
Indigo Bar and Grill. When we arrived staff were busy doing nothing yet left us waiting without even greeting us. This bad service continued all evening. We had four different members of staff who clearly were not communicating with each other because each of them came over time and time again asking the same questions. Wanted to take our orders before our guests had arrived. Did not know the dishes they were serving. Were served incorrect drinks. Very poor service. Would not return
Makes a change to have some decent Indian food in this area especially getting proper naan's and not the thick breads you find elsewhere !
Good attentive staff, modern decor, slightly congested but maybe that adds to the ambiance...
I have been twice and would have problem going again.
I thought the vegetarian dishes were better than the meat dishes!
Busy for a Wednesday evening, the service was a little slow as a result.
However, the food was of an incredibly high standard, great presentation.
Would recommend this restaurant, it does not disappoint.
I had booked for my husband's birthday and wasn't really sure what to expect. From other reviews I had expected the menu to be expensive for a local indian restaurant but was prepared for this as it was a birthday treat. Whilst the starters were quite pricey (almost the same as our mains) the tandoori chicken and the tiger prawns we had were amazing so for us well worth the money! The food was really impressive overall and the service was good. Well worth a visit!
We had a fab meal and wish we had been before.
The restaurant inside is better than it appears from the outside and the food did not dissapoint although would have been on the pricy side without the discount applied for membership to toptable. We will return to Indigo grill though as there were other things on the excellent menu we would all like to try.
Indigo, bar and grill
Good food. Good atmosphere and excellent service.
Friendly and welcoming
I had a guest from Canada to stay and he came to Indigo with me. he thought the meal was excellent and he really enjoyed it.
My friends and I dined at the Indigo Bar & Grill in Gerrards Cross last night. OK, let's get the one negative out the way first. It's pricey (for a local Indian) - most of the starters were £5 - £10, mains £8+.
However, the food is delicious - every dish different and not the 'samey' flavours you get with many Indian restaurants. Fantastic selection. Regular curries...but with the Indigo touch. Big selection for vegitarians. Add to that a nice ambience, excellent service - we will be back!
Indigo Bar and Grill, Gerrards Cross
Table ready and waiting (with highchair) when we arrived
Knowledgeable staff happy to advise specific requirements
Well stocked bar
Clean restaurant and washrooms
Food and cooking styles from different parts of India
Not so good points:
Average main meals
Staff sometimes too keen to clear your table
All-in-all a good experience, with food slightly different to your run-of-the mill Indian restaurant
