The food and service were just average. The key lime pie had a terrible crust and tasted more like sugar than key lime. This is not a restaurant I would return to, nothing special. My one positive, the calamari was good.

We had a lovely time at Izzy's new outdoor setup! We made sure to book in advance and were placed right next to one of the heaters outdoors. Our server was extremely friendly and kind.

The ambience with the elegant clear tent set up and music and our wonderful server Adriana - delivered exceptional service. I ordered the marinated steak which was super juicy, perfect as was the Ribeye my sister ordered. Creme brûlée and pumpkin cheesecake were delicious-

We we're blessed with good weather, so the outdoor dining experience was pleasant. The food and service was excellent. Covid-19 restrictions obviously changes the ambiance. This section of Steiner was allowed to close for restaurant seating.
The atmosphere was friendly and festive. We enjoyed the experience.

The table of young women next to us was extremely loud with crude conversation. A drunk guy who didn’t know them then approached their table wanting to buy shots. Management tried to intervene but ultimately let it continue. It definitely made our evening less enjoyable. But the outdoor dining setting is beautiful!

We were very disappointed by this restaurant. It’s a neighborhood spot that we hadn’t been to in a while, and had really high hopes for it! When we arrived on time, our table was not ready so we waited a few minutes. At that point we were asked if we preferred a specific table and if so would need to wait for it, if not there was another one ready at that time. After 15 more minutes of waiting, A group of four walked up and as soon as the table was ready was seated at the table we were waiting for. At that point we asked the waiter, who directed us to the manager… Who then just looked at us and said yeah that’s your table, pointing to the original table we could’ve sat at 25 minutes before. We understand there are mistakes, especially when it’s busy… But after waiting 30 minutes past the reservation we had, and then having our table given away in front of us was not the experience we were expecting nor Would we would go back for. We won’t be going back.

It took 10 min to get the attention of the host to check in (luckily we were early.) We waited another 15 min past our reservation to get seated, but it was okay since the host gave us a free round of drinks as an apology — they were running very behind and seemed overwhelmed.

Food was delicious! But service was horrible. We ordered an 8 oz steak and the waitress had the nerve to charge us for the 12oz when we told her the 8oz! She didn’t take it off the bill when it was totally her bad.

The food was terrible, the fried calamari was soggy, they must have used bacobits instead of real bacon on the wedge salad, it tasted like cardboard. I waited 30 minutes for my glass of wine so we ended up leaving before getting the wine or ordering the entrees.
The waitress was nice but inefficient , perhaps they were understaffed since it was pretty crowded? It was pretty cold last night and the heat lamps are only situated above the large tables, no heat for the tables for 2 .
This place is more like a bar than a restaurant , it’s fun for a drink ( if you can get it) but that’s about it.

The food was good. The service was excellent. But after reserving 4 days in advance, and thinking we would be seated in the lovely parklet area, we were given a terrible table up against the front of the building along the Ace Wasabi alley. We asked to be moved and were told that the tables in the parklet were for reservations of parties of 4. We sat and watched as each table was populated with a party of 3. It was very obvious that all of those parties were made up of men. Apparently my money wasn’t as good as theirs. So while the food and service were both good, I won’t be returning soon.

It was a very good experience. The service was excellent and organized and I felt they had very thorough COVID-19 precautions along with enough staff to make sure they were enforced to the highest standards. Their parklet is excellent as well and had a very nice ambiance.

Go early as it gets cold when the sun goes down. The heaters are above the table and aren't particularly effective. Izzy's cooks the meat perfectly to order. Our group had a rare filet order, 2 medium rare, and one medium. Everyone happy!

The meal was terrific! However they definitely need more and better heating devices if they plan to seat the parklet through the winter. It was uncomfortably cold and all of one food died pretty quickly because of the temperature.

We are from Salt Lake City,UT. We came to San Francisco to celebrate our anniversary. We decided to come here because of the reviews. It was outstanding! My husband ordered the bone in ribeye and I the salmon. Both were absolutely delicious!! Wish we had something this good out in Salt Lake!

We go to Izzy's a lot. We were gifted a Groupon. Even with the outdoor tables, we enjoyed our dinner. Service and food was good. A little slow before the entrée came out.

We were warmly greeted by the Manager who found us a far-a-way isolated table for two just as we asked. The rest of the evening only got better with our waiter Steven giving us lots of choices for drinks and dining. Our dinner choices of steaks were ample portions, grilled to perfection. Izzy’s never disappoints these once-a-year regulars from San Diego!

As always the food and service were great. One of my favorite restaurant in the City.
We reserved on Open Table noting we're celebrating a birthday and wanted a quiet table with a heat lamp. When we arrived the host didn't seem to recognize our reservatiion since he hadn't reserved a table, much less one with a heat lamp. As a result we waited some time for a table, but one without the heat lamp for my 88 year old husband! This is a steak house, so we anticipated a quality steak. I'm from New York and know how a New York Steak looks and tastes. What was served was unrecognizable and nearly inedible. It looked like a red brick and was almost as tough. My husband's skirtsteak looked about the same. There was no questioning of arrivals for covid; no temperature checks. The host appeared to be seating whoever shoiwed up. We knew Izzy's years ago, and this was not the same. We recommend that you pick another restaurant to spend your money: one where they're gracious to those who patronize them, and one that knows how to prepare and serve a quality steak!
