J Sheekey - The Restaurant
Sheekey's Fish Pie
Grilled Dover Sole
Sautéed Razor Clams
with chorizo & broad beans
Very good seafood 🦞
Cosy restaurant limited space for waiters to move between tables.
Overall still very good 👍🏼
We had a simple pre theatre dinner - fish and chips with a glass of Picpoul...the fish was beautifully cooked, the batter light and crisp, and the mushy peas a great accompaniment. Service was efficient and attentive. Why go anywhere else pre theatre if you can get a table at Sheekeys?
great food and service as always. Only thing this time is that they were unable to serve the whole fish off the bone
Excellent food and service, but quite expensive.
I love everything about Sheekey’s and every time I visit UK (I live in Sydney) I have lunch there at least once. It’s a great treat!
Service was erratic. Had to ask for our wine 3 times. Waiter insisted that the tempura vegetables was salmon and dumped it and walked off. The salmon was also the wrong dish. That was sorted quickly. The hot seafood platter was over cooked and dry. After we paid the bill we was presented with the bill a 2nd time. These things happen but should t at this price.
Great ambiance and service. Beautiful sea food at a price.
An excellent evening at the bar. Attentive staff, great atmosphere superb food as always.
Lovely food, we both had skate wings. We always enjoy the ambiance at J Sheekey’s, which is usually buzzing.
Recommended if you are a seafood lover.
Pre- theatre catch up with a friend. The fish pie was the best I’ve had in the UK. Service was a little harried but as with most restaurants I suspect they are short staffed at the moment, and they were still very cheerful.
Superb as usual, thank you x
Always a favourite, buzzy, fun and great service.
The place has had a bit of a makeover, too.
Only fly in the ointment was the lobster Thermidor: a bit small & basic for £52. The rest of the food was great.
First time at J Sheeky, what a fabulous experience will definitely be returning . Monk fish tikka was insane .
Chilly November evening and the outdoor seating was well protected snd comfortable. Wonderful food as always.
There was no ambience and the waiters didn’t know what was going on most of the time. Repeatedly had to ask for water/butter etc then two would turn up. No side plates for the bread. Poor show considering the prices. We have eaten at far better places for less.
Fourth visit and it just gets better each time. The Tuna ceviche was sublime and the teriyaki salmon was a perfect main course. However, it’s the service that really makes this restaurant so special. I can’t wait to return!
Super service and delicious food pre-theatre, as always.
The food was absolutely incredible, from appetizers to desert (and the drinks!). Service was top notch, and atmosphere was perfect for a date night.
Atmospheric and classy in. Great location. Some eye watering prices unless you look carefully!
Great experience - food was amazing, particularly the starters! We could have eaten the scallops all day!
Excellent for a pre-theatre meal.
Flawless from start to finish, great drinks and unbelievably good food. Already planning round 2
Food was very good, the service even better, would definitely go again and will recommend to family and friends
If you want fish cooked at its best giving a flavoursome dish then this is place.
A good evening. Had to wait quite a while by reception desk for our table. Staff excellent.
My Grandaughter and I had a lovely time ….thank you
We were very late arriving but it was no trouble for the team to accommodate. They really know how to treat you well. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary so lovely. Top marks, never fail to impress.
The finest quality fish in central London accompanied by professional service and a buzzing vibrant atmosphere.
Thoroughly disappointing experience.
Great pre theatre dining
So disappointed as we used to love this restaurant. It is so noisy and service is hectic and haphasard and now full of pre theatre diners.
Unfortunately we were not sat in the seafood bar as I intended when booking only realising afterwards that there were 2 bars at the end of the evening. Open Table didn’t make that obvious and no choice was offered by front of house when being walked to the non-seafood bar which was arrived at first. Actually thought there had been a refit until going to the ladies in the seafood bar which had in years gone by always been where bar sittings for seafood took place and I remember having impeccable service. There was music and it was also half empty. What a shame.
Excellent service friendly every need taken care of
Great food. Attentive service. One of my favourites !
Our John Dory and a Dover sole were cooked to perfection. As always. Overall we keep returning every year because of the food quality and friendly service.
Food was grey but service lacked happiness or excitement
At one point the maitre d’i got our drinks- he clearly wasn’t listening and they weren’t quite what we asked for and we had to chase for them. Got the impression he felt getting us drinks was a little beneath him. Apart from that the service and food were excellent .
We sat outside which was fine, but the local pubs etc were quite noisy. We were warm and comfortable however.
Service was a little slow, there was one lady in particular looking after us who was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and was excellent.
The food was delicious. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented. Very tasty.
Excellent Evening for my Wife’s Birthday
Wonderful as allways
Absolutely beautiful delicious food lovely ambience and excellent service thank you definitely one of our favourite places
