Always a great meal at Jacky's... It's a good option for people that love sushi, but have significant others who do not. And the food is DELICIOUS. All of it. Service is always wonderful, view of the city is great, never had a bad experience here.
Beautiful location. Service was ok considering the fact that there were only a few tables occupied. The food was good but did not match the ambience. The sushi was better than the standard Chinese faire. Cannot guarantee we will be back.
Jacky’s was excellent as usual. My family has been there many times.
The service, ambiance and food were fantastic. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in going. We primarily went with sushi which was fresh and tasty. Great spot!
The server was good, the food was great and as usual the restaurant is beautiful
Everything was great, all the food we ordered was very quick to the table was delicious and I every thing tasted great.
Fun cocktails in great sushi! Peter, the bartender, is terrific.
The service the past few visits has definitely decreased, even on a slow night. Water glasses were left infilled, never checked in to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The food was ok.
Celebrated my birthday. It overall was a wonderful evening at Jackys.
We can’t wait to have another delicious meal and enjoyable evening
We are regulars and it’s consistently great.
We were celebrating a birthday and asked for a window seat. A direct window seat was not available but the one we were given was perfect
Beautiful location. Easy to access. Valet was very friendly and organized. Wait staff was excellent. Food was amazing.
Big shout out to Peter at the bar...Friendly and welcoming!! Five star service...Sushi pizza was awesome...unique item!
Great attention to detail and request.
Beautiful views of the city . Good good and service. Nice menu
The valet staff outside (in pouring rain) were amazing; very capable.
We had not been to Jacky's in a long time, but look forward to coming back soon.
Well done, very enjoyable, excellent service. I wouldn't hesitate at all to go back with family and friends. Also would be great for a business function.
It took forever to be served and receive our check. The food was very disappointing, not seasoned and served lukewarm.
Nice lunch overlooking the providence river walk
Jacky’s is in a great location with beautiful views of Waterplace Park and the Providence River. The interior is well appointed with pendant lights that are interesting, a colorful fish tank and spacious comfortable seating. The General Tsos chicken was good, not amazing and the beef teriyaki was unpalatable. The fried rice was good but a bit bland. The wonton soup was excellent and the coconut and green tea ice creams were pleasant. The service was unimpressive at best. The restaurant was not busy but the server was slow to take our order then brought the meals well before we finished our soup and salad but we waited a long time for our ice cream and I had to flag someone else down to get a water refill. Overall great location but won’t rush back. So wanted this restaurant to be good because it’s a great location to dine during Waterfire but it just missed the mark.
Hot and Sour soup is the best. Fresh and creative dishes with the right amount of heat!
Modern clean and fresh spot for business or friends!
The food and service was amazing!
This is one of our regular places to go when we want a nice night out. Food is consistently good, service is also. The atmosphere is wonderful all year round.
Any visit to Jacky's Waterplace seems like a special occasion. From parking your car to the end of the evening everything is delightful and well attended to. Thank you for another wonderful evening.
Perhaps it was our choice of food, but it was bland. Nothing about the experience was special. We asked the waitress for suggestions. Luckily, we read the menu because the meal that was suggested had crab sticks..... they should never be used IMO.
New Year's night, quite a change from the previous evening, so it was quiet overall. Service was attentive and helpful, food portions were plentiful and delicious. Luckily we were staying in a hotel with a kitchen and could take leftovers (which we enjoyed for lunch the next day).
I'm not in Providence often but will definitely return.
Jacky's has a great view of the 'Waterfire Bowl' for whatever may be happening. We were there for New Year's Eve and watched the laser show and ball drop. From the large welcoming fish tank, to the GREAT drink at the bar, to the wonderfully prepared food, Jacky's is SO worth the trip. On the improvement side, our poor waitress had a party of 15 sit down just as she started us, so we a bit distracted trying to deal with all of them. However, she made up for it once they had left. As an experienced waitstaff person, I can tell you a party of 15 is difficult to manage all by yourself as well as 2 additional parties of 2 and 3.
Always great experience at jackys - service was a bit slow probably due to the busy new year eve !
Wait time was ridiculous - over an hour on New Year’s Eve!
We sat at 4pm for a birthday dinner after a matinee. Got a great table by the window, not many patrons yet, and the place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our server was attentive and we received great service.
When we arrived for our 7:30 reservation we were told it would be a 30-35 minute wait. Once we were seated, service was unbearably slow. It was 15 minutes before we saw a waiter, who told us service would be slow because of the number of tables he was assigned to. None of the tables around us had napkins until we asked for some. We were short a plate despite asking 3 different people— I finally went up front to get one. Once we placed our order, we were told it was likely to be slow because the kitchen was backed up (possibly because the restaurant was fulfilling a constant stream of take-out orders). When our order finally began to arrive after 9:00, one item was wrong and another one was never served. By this time my granddaughter was in tears, she was so hungry. We finally finished our meal and left at 9:55.
For the past 5 years it has been a family tradition to dine at Jacky’s Water-place on Christmas Day. That tradition ended this year.
We reserved a table 2 weeks in advance knowing this was one of two places open in downtown Providence on Christmas Day. We arrived 20 minutes before the reservation, checked in, went to get a beer and a glass of wine at the bar. Bartenders were inattentive at best. Stood there for what seemed like an eternity (maybe five minutes), and when I ordered - they were out of glasses - then was served a room temperature beer. We got to our table at the reservation time of 6 PM, and waited 17 minutes for a server to greet us. He was very nice, but was unaware that no one had greeted us and that we had no server. So, In addition to the other six tables that he had, most of which were large, he took on the responsibility of waiting on us. From there it went well but I could tell there were several tables upset around us as the server was clearly overwhelmed. All things considered, once greeted we had a good experience and would go back under normal circumstances. Although, I would not go back to the bar as the bartenders seemed disinterested in my or anyone else’s satisfaction.
Our Christmas day visit was somewhat disappointing. Everything was just "okay" – not bad, but not great. The service was better than the food, which lacked the flavors I have come to expect from a good Asian restaurant. And the prices do not reflect this mediocrity. The icing on the cake was the cost of valet parking, which I had assumed was complimentary....
Horrible Horrible service. One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever endured. Food ok. But will not be going back ever.
Although the restaurant and wait staff were very busy, our waitress was attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! And there was no wait when we texted for our car.
It's a lovely location but the food is variable in deliciousness. We have eaten there numerous times and have not been bowled over by the quality of the food. The portions are huge. The menu is too extensive, better to specialize.
Quality is more important than quantity.
Christmas Eve dinner was superb!!
Service and food were very good. The only problem was the server’s accent. Everyone seemed to have problems understanding him.
Good was very good. Server (Toni) was pleasant and courteous, but seemed newer, had issues with time management, and seemed a little overwhelmed with the number of tables she had. Could benefit from a little more training or experience before taking on a full workload.
