Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez Francois
Chef Jacques Haeringer
As usual Chez François did not disappoint. We love going there.
Awesome lobster thermador! Great service! Lost Rhino IPA on tap! Love the atmosphere!
We love Jacque’s Brasserie! We have been there numerous times...especially sitting in the lovely garden for lunch and dinner with family and relatives. The French food is delicious good and the service is excellent!!! We can’t wait to come back and introduce to our DC friends in 2 weeks...
Our kids love their birthday cakes dessert from the restaurant! Thank you !!!!
Food wonderful as always and service very good
First time dining under the new umbrella. It was a spectacular night. Is there a way to close the umbrellas on such a beautiful evening???
Excellent service food bartender Pam and everything else
Most excellent in every way.
If you are in the mood for classic french cooking in a more relaxed atmosphere than Chez Francois (above), then the brasserie is a great bet. You can enjoy many of the same dishes and same great service. It is a little noisy at times but this more casual and intimate off shoot of the age old and well respected L'Auberge is a nice option for dinner or happy hour.
It was a perfect evening to sit in the garden. The food was delicious, the wine superb and the waiters moved without being noticed.
Twins birthday. We had a wonderful time and a delicious lunch.
Great food and service but should have sat outside because it was very loud inside and tough to have conversation.
Perfect experience start to finish. Sat outdoors on a beautiful night. We were there for 4 hours and all good.
Fabulous restaurant with divine food and superb ambiance. We've been going to L'Auberge since 1981 and have never once been disappointed. We are thrilled every time we go. Perfect for special occasions and just a phenomenal meal.
Definitely going back, over all experience very positive. Food was great and a great wine selection
Excellent, low key and casual version of the upstairs dining. Always fantastic and top notch service.
The brasserie was excellent and the food was very similar to the main dining area where I have eaten numerous times. Service was great and the choice of food was very good. The only negative point I would make is you now you have to make a reservation to eat in the Brasserie where before you did not need to.
Delicious, unique French meal in the heart of beautiful great falls; only down side is the expense.
Beautiful evening for my wife’s birthday. Took breaks between appetizers and main course to enjoy drinks outside on the garden patio. Perfect night!
Fabulous as always!
Exceptional food, service and ambiance! This is a wonderful choice for foodies.
Best restaurant in NOrethern Virginia! Eating outside is a real treat not available anywhere else.
While the food at Jacques' Brasserie is not the same as at the main restaurant, the combination of the location, ambiance, service, and price makes it a great place.
Food was Excellent!!! Great tenderloin burgers, bouillabaisse, and tenderloin medallions with bernaise sauce. The souflle's for dessert are a really great way to top off a meal. Beautiful surroundings, nice outdoor seating --be sure to look at the garden.
Wow best softshell crab again this year. As always greal meal and service.
This is a Great Falls institution for good reason and the food does not disappoint! However, this is the first time we have experienced less-than-excellent service. It seemed that no one was responsible for our table and after waiting 10+ minutes, we had to ask to order drinks. Then two different waiters came to take our brunch orders. There were other examples too - all minor things, but they suggest that the A Team was not running the Brasserie that morning.
We feel like we are regulars at Jacques and booked for Saturday noon. Upon arrival all the outdoor tables were full so we ate inside. We asked the maitre d Gorge, to see if we could move outside if a table became available. We saw more guests come and were seated outside while we were the only guests inside. We finished the meal and dessert inside while several tables outside were vacant. I guess I did not communicate my desire to be seated outside clearly to Jorge. Our waiter Sandra was very good and the food was consistent fine French Alsace.
I felt like Jorge did not really care about us as guests and this was a big disappointment. He got us seated inside and we remained inside and had the place to ourselves. This is unusual at Jacques where we always feel at home. If I was in charge I would have acknowledged the inconvenience and at least offered some complementary gesture. I would have for sure asked if we wanted to relocate outside once a table opened up, Instead of being mechanical and processing our party of 4 indoors on a beautiful day.
We will be back, and I am sure we will do better next time. This place is a gem.
We were seated outside on a lovely patio facing the trees and the vegetable garden. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Fantastic service, food was excellent except the bread and garlic toast were all dry and hard compared to usual...
Great place, beautiful setting, indoor and outdoor casual dining. Great food, great people.
Great food, great service, and a warm, intimate environment. They make you feel comfortable and spoiled.
Always a great meal thanks to the fabulous food, great service and comfortable ambiance. If you go for brunch, don't miss the croissant. You will feel transported to France. The patio is lovely to enjoy brunch or dinner. There are daily specials and Chef Jacque makes a fabulous burger. Northern Virginia is lucky to have a consistently great French restaurant.
L'Auberge never disappoints whether it is the Brasserie or the main dining room. It is nice to have this casual alternative with the same fantastic food and service as the main dining room.
Wonderful, relaxing dinner at Jacques. Consistently excellent food, wine list, service and atmosphere. It’s a cozy, welcoming restaurant. Can’t say enough good things!! Great for special occasions, or just an ordinary weeknight meal.
Great birthday celebration location! Food and drinks were delicious.
As much as we love the restaurant, we’re particularly fond of the Brasserie. Food is wonderful, service is always great and Jacques has a friendly, comfortable vibe. Outdoor patio is lovely and indoor dining is in a charming, French country inn ambience. Overall, a great spot for a special location or everyday dining.
We haven’t been back for several years because we were disappointed. The food was much improved this time and will be back at least one more time.
Lobster salad with orange, grapefruit and vanilla was incredible!
Always warm hospitality, best food in town and European ambience! When I am at L’Auberge I always feel transported to a European experience. The wait staff is exceptionally professional, warm and not stuffy!! It’s a wonderful experience!
We hadn't been for lunch in a long time and it is well worth the trip. The food is consistently good with very professional staff. Jacques is a very pleasant and quiet room downstairs that gets good sunlight.
Always a great dinner with wonderful service and delicious food. The wait staff is professional and friendly and the service is not rushed. The food is consistently fantastic. Highly recommend!
The Chez Francois formula for dining applied in a more casual setting. The food is unchanged in decades (still excellent) so quite predictable. Some may say this is a bug, I say it's a feature. The Haeringer family has been doing what they do the only way they know how to do it for decades, and it shows. It's like finding your favorite old pair of jeans in the back of the closet, putting them on and finding they still fit perfectly.
