Always a great experience. Love eating outdoor
Greatest service by Michael!
It was a birthday outing for my stepdad. I was wonderful. The food was amazing and the service phenomenal. Great time!!!!
The bathroom had a baby changing table In the ladies room but not one of the men’s room. What happens if your dad is taking his child to the bathroom to get changed? He hast to do it on the floor?
I’ve been to Jake’s and Cooper’s on multiple occasions and usually have an excellent experience in regards to food and service. However, I was disappointed this time with service > food. When we inquired about not including a specific cheese on our cheese plate due to an allergy in our party, we were told we could not make substitutions. However, we were not asking for a substitution. We wanted to make sure our friend was not exposed to an allergen. You can imagine our amazement when said cheese was on the plate. Secondly, we ordered desert and asked for a candle to be added to celebrate a special occasion. It was forgotten. Lastly, gratuity was automatically added which I thought was a bit offensive. I did not feel heard, respected or valued during this encounter.
Wonderful dinner with my wife and daughter!! So happy we finally returned after these crazy times and was reminded how terrific this long standing treasure is.
Our meal was perfect and the service was as well. We had a table right inside at the open window and enjoyed the jazz music while still being able to converse. We look forward to returning soon and often.
Food and wine, perfectly paired. Smaller menu is very good
Anniversary- nice service great atmosphere
So underrated! We got the shrimp dumplings, parm fries, and meatball pizza and everything was delicious. Our waitress Ashley was really sweet and the manager was super friendly. I will definitely be going back.
Best spot for a date night!!! Love the specialty wines.
Your hanger steak is always the best! Cooked a Perfect medium rare and Beautifully seared outside. The chimichurri sauce was fresh and delicious. Cheryl was a pleasant, efficient and friendly server.
Arriving we were greeted by a very friendly host who immediately showed us to our seats outside which were clean and ready for guests. Soon after our waitress greeted us with waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Over all, great first impressions. However, this impression changed once ordering. I ordered the octopus salad after asking the waitress a question regarding how it is cooked. She raves about how another guest shared it was cooked to perfection. I was excited to hear this review and moved forward with this light dinner option. Our meal was delivered by a food runner, and our server refilled our waters. She didn’t return until the “end of the meal.” Had she, I would have expressed that my octopus was not intact cooked to perfection. I ate the three fingerling potatoes, capers, and, and arugula that was one the plate. The dish was really well presented visually. However, I pushed the rubbery undercooked octopus to one side of the plate. When our waitress finally returned to see if we wanted to order dessert or get the check, she said “I guess you didn’t like the octopus.” I shared that I did not. It appeared as if she did not follow up with anyone else working in the restaurant and brought us our check. In addition to our food charges we also had a gratuity charge of 18% for two people at a table. This was a little surprising to see one bill. Overall, nice staff and ambiance, but I won’t be getting the octopus salad again in the future. I do wish that she had checked in with us during our meal so that my order could have been fixed or I could have ordered something else to eat while my party was eating. I have had some amazing experiences here in the past with the food, this may have been an off day ?
The service was excellent. Delicious cocktails and food!
It was a great night. The service was outstanding! The servers were attentive and had a incredible command of menu. They knew ever dish and were able to give me recommendations based on my tastes!
The food was cooked well, but largely flavorless. Reminiscent of good wedding cuisine. Wine was ok, but not stellar given the price and focus. Wait staff clearly wanted to be elsewhere doing something else. The real problem was the price - way too expensive for what it was and the attention given to it. There are way too many places in Philadelphia that are fabulous at the same price point. Definitely not planning to go back.
Reliably delicious but nothing new or inventive.
The staff is amazing, very attentive and had great recommendations for wine. We got the cheese board and olives which were the perfect snack with our beverages!
Great door and service!
we ate outside and were very happy with the food and the service.
Worse meal I ever had dining out. Inside of restaurant is shabby and run down. Prices were ridiculous for what you get
Amanda was fantastic. The food and drinks were perfect. Will always support a 18% gratuity! Good for Jake and Cooper's doing it.
food was awesome, not too rushed, brought MORE than enough toast pieces for the cheese board without us asking which made me happy(i hate when places only give 2 pieces for an entire board… makes no sense to me) great waiter, crab cakes and steak were cooked perfectly, I’ve been a few times before and it’s always been good but this time everything was great. 5 stars for sure :)
Really off their game. Typically the service is
Coopers remains a go to place for a light dinner with the 1/2 carafe wine special. We ate indoors (decent social distancing). The strawberry spinach salad and portobello pizza hit the spot. Our server did a fine job.
Just having an evening out with the Mrs. Great service, the food was pretty good. Moderately pricey. I’d return for another visit
Came for drinks with a friend. The host was super nice when I came in. Our waiter was AWESOME! Overall, everyone working there was super friendly which always makes the vibe better! The drinks were good as well. Started with a cocktail (could taste the alcohol in it so that’s always a good sign!!!) and then had a glass of the cab. We ordered the Margherita pizza to share...would not recommend. It was basically $14 for bread with barely any sauce, a little cheese, and 6 basil leaves and zero flavor. You’re probably thinking “Well, that’s a Margherita pizza” which yes, but I’ve had my fair share of Margherita pizzas and this one would be at the bottom of that list. Haha maybe if it wasn’t $14 I would be less offended by it. We only ordered it because of the mandate in Philly where if you order alcohol you have to get a meal too. I would say the decor was a little lack luster but if you don’t really mind that, it’s a solid place for drinks and to catch up with a friend! 8.5/10 would recommend!
Excellent spot on Main Street for dinner - good food and drinks
My server was amazing and I loved the Brussel sprouts!
Second time going to Jake and Cooper’s and it hasn’t disappointed yet. Our guess is that they cook almost everything with their brick oven to add their signature char. Burger was phenomenal, octopus salad was delicious (they didn’t skimp on the octopus either) and we can’t say enough about the “everything seasoned” bread! Oh and can’t forget their namesake, the wine: the “cheap” wine special they offered is just alright but once you step up to the $12.50 a glass section, it really hits the spot.
Everything was great from the cheese, to the wine and cocktails, to the service. As a fellow restaurant industry worker I admired the accommodation and professionalism. Thank you for a great time ! Cheers
First time at this little spot on Main in Manayunk. It was a fun atmosphere - comfy and casual. We loved the cheese board and the everything bread! We would go back! Our server was fabulous! We also enjoyed the “cheap” white wine. Beat part were the desserts!
A little pricy but it's Manayunk...wine and cheese board are fabulous.
Server was so great! Attentive, sweet, personable. Food and cocktails were great!
We love that liver is on the menu. Food never disappoints.
We had a ball, everything was great.
Very good relaxing place to enjoy friends and good food!
We love it here. Food is always great. Service is wonderful.
Food was great from appetizers thru dessert. Service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is not on par with the food as the interior could use some upgrades. Great night out we will be back
We made reservations last minute to celebrate some good news! When we arrived the restaurant was pretty empty, which was nice because we were able to sit and have a drink before ordering dinner. Out of no where the restaurant became busy, and the servers did a great job checking in on everyone and making sure they were doing okay. The cocktails were Out of this world! And our food was even better.
Can’t wait to stop back down again !
Tasty foods and wine. Definitely a gem in Manayunk for a relaxed evening.
