Very sorry to see this branch close. I have enjoyed many meals here and the staff have always been brilliant. Best wishes to everyone in their next ventures.
Our first 2 choices were not available but the staff tried to help. Got a free glass of wine.
Better than average and the olives were very nice. Not amazing but worked perfectly for a business lunch.
The food was good and we were well looked after however the table for eight we were given was really quite cramped and for those on the benches it was not the most comfortable situation.
I’ve been going to,this restaurant for years and it was always the first choice in the area. You always know what you get and the quality is great. However, on this last visit I was quite disappointed with beef carpaccio starter. Something which was clean and simple in the last came with mayoness on top and some kind of white source on the side which I wasn’t ab,e to identify. It says in the menu it is coming with balsamic and Parmesan cheese, so keep it as per the menu please, no need for extra sauces which don’t go well together with this wonderful beef.
The food was below par, my guests left most of their main dish.
Good food, good service, lovely lunch. Highly recommend!
Very nice ambiance, great service and excellent food. The recommended wine was spot on. Well worth a visit.
Half the menu was not offered.
We were looking forward to trying a restaurant owned by Jamie Oliver. However, our experience has been less than satisfactory. The service was inconsistent, in the sense that the menu's were being brought extremely rapidly, but the order then not taken immediately, and the gap between the antipasti and main course being extremely large. When asked for advice on the wine, the waiter failed to state that the white wine we ended up ordering was slightly sparkly. When we ordered fresh mint tea with honey (for two persons), either tea arrived without. The food, which came in tiny portions, was extremely bland and provided very bad value for money. An overall disappointing experience, despite the grand setting.
I often frequent Jamie's Italian, especially for business lunches but this was for a night with friends. The food was good, however we found the service friendly but a bit slow. Would still recommend.
Food was awful I had pork, had to send it back. Service was awful
I felt the overall experience to be poor and over priced , it is never a good start when the waiter start to tell you all things on the menu that you cannot have , its only 6.30pm and there's about half a dozen of the menu, even garlic bread was not available (basic) to honest your menu range is not that broad to allow three or four things to be missing, so ended up having something that I would not normally order tagliatelle bolognese only because I have it regularly at home. it was severed pretty much cold.
summary paid £120 for three people which was overall poor and if this is Jamie's standard , then probably the last time I go and will not recommend
Great atmosphere, good selection of food which was very tasty and great service especially as we were pushed for time
An enjoyable evening with friends. Great table upstairs, good service & a relaxed setting. Thank you
This is the 2nd time that my wife and I attend this restaurant while vacationing in London. It took a long time to write this review, which I apologise. We had a woderful experience. My wife and I were in town at this time to celebrate her birthday and our "biciulis" Vilma was awesome as always ensuring my wife's delight. As it happened last time we were early and were taken very good care not only by Wilma but by her staff.
Vilma, thanks a lot and Jamie, congratulation for having her on your team.
Great Service - good veggie options.
Unlikely location. With friendly and accommodating service. Suitable for parents with young children, get togethers and working lunches. Reasonably priced especially given the location
This was a better branch of Jamie's Italian than most. For once, not all the food was smothered in olive oil. We all had the Rabbit Ragu for a main and it was delicious. Our starters were all pretty okay too. The one problem we found was the shear noise! I actually felt sorry for the staff as it was like a mad house. Dealing with raucous customers (all having a lovely time), would drive me mad. I'm glad that they sat us miserable old gits (in our 40/50's) in a corner at an intersection. It was still incredibly loud but maybe its because it's coming up to Christmas. I will try again outside the festive period. Many restaurants are buzzing with chat and music, but this was off the scale!
Overpriced location compared to other outlets in this chain. Poor service - hurried.
Not up to usual Jamie’s standard, perhaps too fancy and overpriced. Excellent service but poor food quality and portion size of my main salmon was a joke. I can buy a fillet larger than that for £3 and cook it better at home. Waiter was attentive and patient.
Whenever I get the opportunity I book Jamie's Italian and it never disappoints. It is great for most occasions and not overly priced. The food is outstanding and the service is good.
Old Bank ambiance makes this an interesting place to dine. Great food @ medium to high end & a good wine list !
Without doubt, the best Italian in London . Will return as soon as possible
Lovely restaurant the staff are very attentive and friendly. The set menu is exceptional for the price. Recommend the cod. Fairly easy to get a reservation on a Friday night too
Seated quickly, food as ever sumptuous and plentiful - very busy - service to begin wirh was less efficient than we've previously experienced in other branches of Jamie's Italian but it didn't affect our enjoyment as we weren't in a hurry and it did improve throughout the course of our visit.
Decent food, great atmosphere and service, less good on value for money. An enjoyable visit nevertheless and would come again due to the location.
A restaurant in the city. Amazing venue - beautiful old building. Good (not amazing) food. A safe bet!
I had a fantastic meal last week at Jamie’s Italian. From the aperitifs, food to the digestif it was all great. Our waiter Dario was assertive, friendly and helpful with food and wine questions. Thank you, I had a great meal and evening with my sister.
Great service and location but food under whelming. Meat plank rather sparse and pasta bolognese lacked depth of flavour. Wine selection expensive.
Overall a pleasant experience with a few duff notes however - my tuna steak was cold when it arrived, and the side portion of fries was pretty miserly. However the staff were lovely as were the desserts. I wouldn't rush back here, but is a decent dining spot in Bank.
This branch was located in one of the historical buildings so the decor was very beautiful and had wonderful high ceilings. Food was tasty but I didn't feel completely satisfied after having my squid ravioli dish which meant I definitely had room for dessert. Portion sizes could be slightly bigger I think. But overall I had a nice work lunch there with my colleagues
Nice restaurant with good service and very nice staff
We chose this while out of town on business for our anniversary dinner and it was a favorite with locals and a perfect fit. We loved the food, atmosphere and everyone we came across. Our waiter was full of personality and did an exceptional job handling lively table of four.
Great experience overall!
Average food. Good service.
Will definitely go to this restaurant again. First class food and service.
Good Atmosphere with great food and service. Welcoming cocktails as part of the offer were wonderful.
The food was extremely disappointing. The chicken was burnt and very dry and the rump steak was tasteless, something you would get from a local pub like Wetherspoons.
I would have expected a far higher standard from one of Jamie's restaurant but unfortunately we were totally let down
