Quaint and historical restaurant with AMAZING food!
This brunch was a gift of my 2 adult children and husband for my 7birthday 70th birthday so it was an especially lovely time in the beautiful dining room. And I was gifted a box of Lake Champlain Chocolates!
Very good but not a lot of food.
Everything and everyone was very pleasant. Great for special occasions.
Fabulous restaurant with great food (pate, beet salad, scallops and steak) and great cocktails (gin-ger gimlet) and wonderful, extensive and well-priced wine list. The service was exceptional and I appreciate the fact that Jessica's takes COVID very seriously and has numerous precautions in place. I can't wait to return during my next visit to Midd. This will be a regular stop for us when visiting our son at Middlebury College.
Service was excellent, food was very good. Wine steward was very personable.
The food and presentation were rather ordinary. Hope you’ll be able to spiff it up in the coming months.
Very welcoming host and excellent food and Service as well.
Super good meal, great staff & service...its our go to place!
Perfect for an anniversary dinner. We had a lovely meal.
Food and service were amazing. Had a great time
Ambiance, food and service were all wonderful. Rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and was tender as could be. Others in my party had an excellent pasta dish with delicious and abundant shrimp, and the scallops which also got rave reviews. The lemon tart and flourless chocolate cake finished off a perfect meal.
We had a delicious dinner in Jessica's/The Swift House's very comfortably elegant Vermont setting. We all loved the crab cakes and tomato bisque, and our dinners (Ribeye Steak, pasta, Shepherd's Pie) were delicious although the plates could've benefitted from a few more veggies on the side. Dessert and lattes were indulgent. Service is awesome and welcoming, and the fact that there's a friendly sommelier, David, on hand always inspires me to drink more wine, and even learn a little about it.
The Rib Eye steak was too thin...and most of the pieces were tough to cut through...disappointed!
As usual David and Jody are perfect hosts and the chef is excellent.
Duck, Scallops, Pasta, and even a Burger...all great. Thanks.
Please put the Duck fat cooked fries on the regular appetizer choices again...they are great for the table while looking over the menu.
It is covid. We have not eaten put in Middlebury for months! They were very conscious of spacing and we enjoyed ourselves
Wonderful selection, flavor, and presentation. A bit challenging during Covid due to mask wearing mandate, but lovely nonetheless.
We were met with inviting , open arms. My 92 y.o. Mother was asked if she needed any help w anything. The staff was suited up w masks, and gloves. Everyone was extremely friendly!
I would most definitely reckoned this beautiful restaurant.
Had a wonderful dinner on the porch in the fresh air. Service and atmosphere was friendly and excellent. Fantastic wine list and wine service is somewhat of a rarity in VT. David was very knowledgeable. Being super picky- Would have liked the option of having a french chardonnay by the glass; not just CA. Menu selection was interesting and diverse. Crab cake appetizer was a rare thumbs up for a Maryland girl. Duck and Thai peanut noodles were outstanding. Can't wait to go back and try a recommended wine but I won't say what it is or it would be long gone. Will definitely go back soon.
The dining room was attractive, the food was well-prepared and of high quality, and the advice we received from the sommelier was outstanding.
Very good menu choices prepared well. Caring staff.
This was one of the best meals and dining experiences I've had in Vermont in five years of eating out in the state. Wonderful ambiance, great care taken with Covid precautions, and the food was fresh, perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious. Great wine selections as well. Will recommend to all my friends and look so forward to a return although we live a couple of hours away!
The service and food are always outstanding. They seating out on the porch was lovely and felt very safe. Health precautions were very well observed. It was a wonderful evening.
Nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy a very good meal. Dave, the sommelier, was great and very attentive. Staff was pleasant and happy to engage. We look forward to going back.
Quality, quantity and creativeness was excellent! Ate in 2 nights at Jessica's in the Swift Inn.
Never dissapointed at Jessica’s, from presentation to flavor a great jewel of a restaurant in Middlebury VT
We sat on the side porch as the sun set and had a very lovely and delicious evening. Servers were friendly and very knowledgeable. I had delicious mussels to start and the vegetable stack, both perfectly prepared. My husband's scallops were also perfectly prepared and presented. The setting at the top of an emerald green, tree-lined lawn is so very peaceful, as if you are far from town, even though the place is right in the middle of Middlebury. We love this place and look forward to returning on another special occasion.
Beautiful & delicious. Very good price for this quality of food. Not cheap but worth it!
Jessica's is a wonderful place for a special meal out.
My wife and I ate on the small westerly porch that only had one other table on it, so it was very quiet. Great service as my glass of water was refilled repeatedly. We had the corn and crab chowder and crab cakes for appetizers which were both very nice. My wife had a German Riesling off of the extension wine list which was sweet like she likes. For the main course, my wife had the scallops and I had the special of the night which was duck with fois grai sausage. The duck had a perfectly done crust, but the star was the sausage. To die-for. I've been to Germany and had many a sausage that I've enjoyed, but this may have been the best sausage I've ever had. Melt in your mouth texture. This was our first visit to Jessica's and we will surely return.
We requested outdoor sitting but they had no record of the request!!!
Open table error!!!!
They said this has happened many times before!!!
We were truly disappointed! Not the restaurant but open table!!!
Jessica's is one of Middlebury's hidden secrets. The food is excellent, the wine list is the best in the area. Sitting on the porch for dinner with beautifully prepared food, exceptional service and a nice bottle of wine can not be beat.
Wonderful experience! Will definitely come again
An interesting and varied menu. Every dish was exceptional. Service was impeccable. The Inn itself is quaint and lovely.
We had the loveliest meal at Jessicas on my daughters birthday. It was our first dining out experience since the pandemic kept everyone home and we felt very safely distance From other customers outside On their covered patio. The food was fantastic!!!
Charming sommelier and a lovely location. Probably the best choice in Middlebury.
I highly recommend Jessica's at the Swift House Inn. They are professional, knowledgeable, and hospitable. In this COVID-time, they take every precaution to make sure their guests and staff are safe.
Jessica's is one the best place for dinner in Middlebury and one of the best in the state of Vermont. Great food, solid wine list and excellent service.
Lovely spot on the deck, great service and great food. Our favorite place to dine!
The food was delicious, starting with the Maryland crab cakes, our entrees of Salmon and local pork chops, and the wonderful desserts of Flourless Chocolate Cake and a Strawberry Puff Pastry. The service was excellent and with great care as we dine under the new normal protections. Masks and social distancing was in force in a very positive way. An evening at Jessica's in the Swift House Inn is a very special treat and dinner. It was our 51st Wedding Anniversary celebration.
Really nice dinner and treated like royalty. Wonderful evening on the porch.
