Excellent food, staff and ambience. Highly recommend this restaurant.
First time around was an amazing experience. The waiter was very friendly and eager to recomment a starter box and main dishes. As a surprise we got a desert plate we did not order. Because of our good experience we went the day right after. We were pretty much treated the same with the same starter and desert platter. The magic was disenchated realizing everything was pre-programmed. Nevertheless great food at good prices.
We had read quite a few bad reviews regarding Jilabi but with a table of four, every one of us enjoyed the food. Staff were friendly and accommodating and gave good recommendations from the menu. We wanted for nothing. I would be more than happy to visit this restaurant again.
I was a first time visitor to Jilabi and the experience was beyond expectations. It was really well presented as a venue and the staff is very kind, polite and informative. I had no idea of what to order but the staff recommended and great option and it worked out well.
I look forward to many more visits.
Love food there 😍always ordering take away but this time went to catchup with friend
Lovely service and feels welcome
Thank you 😊
This restaurant is streets ahead in the service stakes, every time we go there we are welcomed like house guests. The last occasion was for my brother in Laws 70th Birthday, well we were treated to special buffet foods brought to the table for starters and mains even though it was buffet Sunday. At the end of the meal they brought the birthday boy a bottle of Champagne to go with his cake along with a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. A truly wonderful experience and members of the party that had not been there before have now put it on their must repeat list to bring their friends and family to this very special restaurant with the lovely views of Sheldon Country Park. Only thing that they could improve would be parking as this is limited. But hey this is minute issue when to take in the food and service of this eating palace.
Had a lovely time at jilabi been quite a few times before, make you feel very welcome and food is lovely thanks will come back again.
We had a great pre-theatre dinner, excellent food, great service
Beautiful tasty food with brilliant service . Restaurant is spotless and the ambiance is great .
Bring back the garlic !!! Lose the sweets ....
All round good curry
Brilliant as always. Nothing is ever too much trouble
We were celebrating my daughters 18th the whole evening was fantastic. The staff were at our every need and more. I would recommend Jilabi for any occasion.
The food was excellent.
This was the first time we went to Jilabi and we will definitely be returning, as soon as you walk in you are given a warm welcome.
The staff could not do enough to help, they made sure we were all happy and the food was satisfactory, we chose to have the buffet which was lovely and when the staff saw that we were having desserts they bought us out some cake and ice cream, and a dish of sweets which my son really enjoyed as did my in laws with the complimentary liquor at the end of the meal.
Overall it was such a lovely atmosphere and as I said we will definitely be returning to try a meal from the menu.
great staff, lovely ambience, superb food.
Will definitely be back soon
Thank you for a beautiful meal on my Birthday , my husband and daughter a long with myself all had amazing food and would definitely recommend the sharer for 4 to start ( we had if between 3 but there is enough for 4) . Will be back, great service.
This was my third visit in as many weeks. Had a lovely meal and very attentive service
Within 5 minutes of arriving at Jilabi, you know that you are going to get a great meal. The restaurant was packed and seemingly very popular. The only disappointment that we had was the 30 minute wait for our table despite having booked in advance. Usually I wouldnt mind the wait, however we were put in a small corner at the restaurant to wait in without a drink to hand. Having said that everything after that was impeccable. The food was great quality & the service equally as good. Despite being such a big restaurant you were made to feel welcome by all the waiters & waitresses. The food more than made up for the problems at the start and it was a fantastic meal - I wouldn’t want to go elsewhere again for a curry!
Lovely food as always. Quite expensive once the extras are added on
Wonderful evening in our group of 12 on a Thursday Evening. Jilabi staff were as friendly and accommodating as ever. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a lovely evening with fabulous food. Brilliant!
The service was impeccable by Govinda :). The food is fantastic and this has become my favourite Indian with great Bengali dishes. Love love love
Service was excellent but a little too attentive. Felt a bit badgered but the staff did mean well. Had unexpected extras after the meal which were gateau with ice cream, a free short and sweets! Amazing! Recommended .
Great food. Really good value and excellent service
Modern, clean restaurant. Delicious food and even better amazing service!
I came here on a Monday for buffet food was cold and we all had a bad stomach
Food is lovely but they over book and leave you waiting half an hour standing in the hall way.
This place used to be great when it was smaller but over the years and as they've expanded they like to get you in and out. Asking u how you are going to pay before you've even finished and asked for the bill.
Fantastic food excellent service! Will definitely be visiting again.
We have been to Jilabi on many occasions and it is always the choice when we want good food and wonderful service. On this occasion my family from Telford were with us and they are always blown away by the whole experience and always say that they need Jilabi to open up in Telford as there is nothing to compare. Outstanding, excellent and our favourite.
I only go to Jilabi when i want a curry as the food is amazing. We usually have a take away but on this occasion went to the restaurant for a sit down. If it is a relaxing meal you want then this isn't the place. It's very busy and very loud and i felt like they couldn't wait to give us the bill to get us out quick enough. Wont be rushing back for a sit down meal. Shame as it never used to be like that
i brought a friend to jibabi's as it was her birthday the week before, i have been to the restaurant many times with friends and family and the service has always been the best. that evening we was shown to our table, our waiter was so busy that other waiters came over to ask us if there was anything we needed. As i brought my friend to show her what a great restaurant it was the service is amazing, that is not what we got that evening so apologized to my friend for the lack of service we got. The food was amazing as always.
Always good food and service, will be back. We went for my birthday and all involved enjoyed.
Booked a table well in advance, arrived on time was seated at a nice table was given menus ordered wine and drinks we were then asked to move to another table which was small stuck in a corner and cold. Then in true Jilabi style had 10 different waiters all asking for our orders and then again in true Jilabi style we were rushed because they want the table we drank a bottle of wine beers starters mains and desserts in less than 1 hour indigestion time again this will be the last time we eat at this restaurant as there are now a lot of good indian restaurants around in Solihull.
The restaurant experience was good great service very attentive, food ok, only down side was we took a take away home for our daughter and the food was terrible curry was very watery and tasteless, tikka masala is normally alot more creamy.
Very very loud and busy which wasn't a bad thing as it was lively and just what you need when you have kids so no one can hear how loud they are haha! The service was impeccable and the food was top notch. Price was good too. Overall i would reccommend. Only downside is no parking on main coventry rd and the parking police were out at 10pm giving people parking tickets!
Wonderful second to none service, beautiful food and fast! What more could you want? Was very busy but plenty of staff on hand to keep everything efficient
The best Indian restaurant in the area or in Birmingham staff amazing food wonderful ambiance fantastic can always get a table love it
There is no surprise that this restaurant continues to be the best curry house in the world. Make sure you book as it is always, understandably, very busy. However, standards are never compromised and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
As always food was lovely but this time service was a bit pushy and for the second time the bill was wrong. Their offer '2 for £24' on Tuesdays is apparently not available anymore but still advertised !!
The occasion was to wish bon voyage to two old friends moving to pastures green on their retirement. We were welcomed as if we were all long lost friends and the service was 1st class. The staff helped the less knowledgeable re Asian cuisine so all had a great time from the buffet. Four of our party had never been before but they are coming back; they will definately do this again
Booked for 15 when we arrived the table was set for 15 but there were two seats short asked three or four times for more chairs we we finally got after ten minutes, the staff were very good as always and food was excellent, felt rushed after we had paid as the staff said goodnight see you again soon so felt they wanted us to go,also felt as though we were sat on top of each other as not really enough room for us on tables provided.
Food was very good, but overall experience was tainted by the amount of people in the restaurant, far too busy and rushed. From start to finish we were only in the restaurant 1 hour and 30 mins and in that time we had 3 courses and a free liquor. We were then asked to leave to accommodate the next reservation. The service was rushed and not enough time allowed between courses. We won’t be returning.
