We loved our experience tonight! Such a special way to celebrate our anniversary and the food was exceptional, especially the scallops and the brown butter pudding!

Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, the owner stopped by more than once to check in on us and the chef is inventive as well as highly skilled. I couldn't recommend Joan's more highly.

We've dined here several times and both the food and the service just seem to get better every time. Like the prix fixe menu and the options we selected for all four courses were delicious. Nice wine selection and service that was attentive and friendly but not intrusive.
The chicken and pork shanks were fabulous. The waiter was knowlegeable and attentive.

Food and service were superb. My husband and I savored every bite, and we enjoyed the intimacy of the small dining room.
We were very surprised, however, by the noise level. Anything that can be done to lower the noise would be a significant improvement.
This was, quite simply, one of the best meals we've ever had. Although every course was fantastic, the duck confit was melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. Service was superb. We will be back.

Wonderful dinner, we shared each of the four courses so got to taste eight of the menu offerings. All were scrumptious. Daniel provided great service and was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were using a gift card so felt free to splurge more than we might normally - cocktails, bottle of wine and dessert!
A cozy spot with exceptional food; flavors are paired so uniquely together and are beautifully presented. A true gem.
1st time there wanted to try their tasting menu. Food was delicious and flavorful. I will definitely return to try their regular menu.
A gem of a place - it is small intimate space, tastefully appointed but not overly fancy, the food was excellently prepared and artistically plated, and the service attentive. It might feel cramped for groups over six, but we had a corner table for three that offered a good opportunity for conversation. The four-course tasting menu offers 5 choices for each course; the first three courses are intentionally small with the entree larger. We three seniors left contentedly full. Favorites were the carrots, the beet tortellini, and the three entrees of duck breast, filet mignon, and pork shank. Nice wine list & cocktails. The bill for tasting menu, cocktails, wine, and dessert came to $90/person before tip.
As always it doesn't disappoint. Food was outstanding and the atmosphere is perfect, love the size it is small and quaint. Has a real neighborhood feel.

Excellent food and experience, but thought it was five courses for 60, but Valentine’s Day was 3 for 80. Didn’t realize.
We went with our 12 yr old daughter for Valentine's day, and had the 3 course tasting menu. They were so accommodating, even making a "mocktail" for my daughter. We also tried 3 different desserts. Everything was delicious and service was exceptional! We will definitely return.

All was as expected...wonderful. The only exception would be noise level and it increased as patrons arrived. BUT we know that and work around it during the summer by taking to the patio. Keep up your commitment.
Menu was very interesting but food was overly salty in many cases or bland (lobster appetizer) in others. The flavors never seemed right with any of the dishes and spices were lacking or didn’t go together
Great food. A reasonably priced wine list as well which is increasingly rare.
We had a lovely celebratory meal. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. They were very accommodating of our special needs as we eat vegetarian and some fish.

Food and service are truly top notch at Joan’s! This is such a wonderful place. Everyone is welcoming. Lots of “return guests” based on greetings heard. Dan was our host and he was truly outstanding. The tasting menu was delicious—every course. The only dish that wasn’t really great was the corn cake with shrimp. Shrimp was good, corn cake had good flavor, the consistency was off. Scallops, as usual, were tops!
Excellent food specially if you have to be concerned about weight. The food was great tasting and healthy. The service was friendly and very helpful suggestions about the choices and wine.

We could not have had a more enjoyable evening. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with soft lighting and candles. The service was amazing and very helpful. The menu was structured so as to allow us many choice for each course, EACH of which was carefully constructed from fascinating and delicious combinations of flavors. For example, my third course was small corn dumplings with a butter poached prawn with vanilla beurre blanc and fresh cheese. The portions were perfect, building to an amazing main course. Wines and desserts were excellent, too. And we love that this top-tier restaurant’s chef and front-of-house staff are all family. We highly recommend it!
Joan's is my go-to restaurant for any special occasion. The atmosphere is casual and energetic, but with a simple and comfortable elegance. A huge part of the appeal is the fantastic service from the moment you walk in the door. In this particular instance, our table was still occupied so we were seated at the bar, and had some of their fantastic cocktails immediately. At the table, our server was very typical of the wait-staff at Joan's. Friendly, efficient and very familiar with all aspects of food and beverage. He managed to be there whenever we needed him, but was never intrusive.
Of course the food is the main event. Their 4-course menu is fantastic, with a nice variety and prepared and presented beautifully. Besides the choices on the menu, there are usually small bites in between, or additional wines to taste with specific dishes. The wine list is not the biggest of any restaurant, but there are no clunkers. Whoever is curating the cellar is really doing his/her research.
Every meal feels special in this restaurant - give it a go!
What an amazing meal! The four-course tasting menu offered a wealth of options for each course. All our choices were prepared with care and an obvious love of fresh ingredients; the presentation was lovely and appealing. Service was attentive and unobtrusive. I recommend Joan’s in the Park enthusiastically and will definitely return!
Food excellent, but extremely small portions (except the steak). I went home hungry and ate at home, sorry.

Loved this dining experience! All staff were so friendly and competent. We received a warm greeting and were seated promptly at our reserved time. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and guided us through the menu in a very congenial manner. The food was delicious! The portions are taster size as we expected and a delight served as such. We found we savored each bite due to the size and we were not disappointed in any of our choices. ( My husband wanted 10 orders of the pork belly dish he thought it was so good.) We had lots of options available and were totally satisfied when dinner was complete. It was also fun to talk about the food while dining. We were explaining to one another the details of our dish because they were carefully and thoughtfully prepared. I rated ambiance 4 stars because we were seated by a window and it was very chilly.

We went on a snowy night and it was the most romantic and beautiful experience . The restaurant was so welcoming, we were greeted as we walked in. The staff was smiling and more than happy to get us seated and make us feel special. I always love the concept of lots of courses but not giant portions. We were full when we were done but not overfull and feeling ill. My favorite items were the Confit Duck Leg, it was perfectly crunchy on the outside but the meat still just melted in your mouth. We had the "Fish of the Day" which was Salmon. It clearly was super fresh and cooked perfectly. Great flavor which can be tricky with Salmon, in my opinion. Overall an amazing experience !!! We will back much sooner than later !!! DELICIOUS !!
