I lived in Barcelona for one year and I travelled throughout all Spain, trying some of the best & most traditional restaurants and having heard great things about Pizarro I was waiting for an experience. It was quite the opposite, even though the ambience and service was great the food didn't made justice to it.
Disappointed with the food and service wouldn't return again.
Thank you so much to the lovely lady from Jerez!!!
Loved the food and wine. Excellent service and friendly staff Rather too noisy and very dark. Would be simple enough to rectify to make this place a must. Want to try the other two José restaurants now.
Tapas at it's best. Fresh ingredients, tasty food and amazing service
Lovely as usual. Been to the one in Bermondsey, food just as good. Quiet as it was January. Great Wine, Great tapas.
We went for a meal with several colleagues and enjoyed the atmosphere, the cocktails and in particular the pork shoulder, which was decadent. I would go again, if only for the pork shoulder and the G&Ts.
Surprisingly warm atmosphere for a city spot. Great tapas - excellent wine list, but pricey
I picked this restautant as the location was perfect for meeting up with some friends. And I'm so glad I found it. The ambience was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, without being annoying! The food was amazing and priced fairly. I'll be back.
Very friendly staff, food was great and not that expensive.
Super friendly service. Good range of food choices.
If you want to hear yourself speak this is not the place to go. It is incredibly nosy (not helped by a bunch of inebriated men who were just standing around drinking). However, the food is delicious and the waiting staff very helpful in advising on dishes and were extremely attentive.
Food was very tasty - shame it was so draughty
Fantastic tapas, brilliant staff who gave excellent advice that really enhanced our meal.
The only thing that lets JP down is the wine list. There are not enough options under £40 a bottle.
you will be suprised by the bill, the food is no bad, the service is average, but with the same price you can lunch or dinner in a far more better restaurant. 2 taps with 1 main, 95 pounds
Overall, the place and food is great. Just the stuff are a bit relaxed, did not seem to be fully professional, and less enthusiastic to provide the best service.
Excellent tapas, varied and interesting menu. Good wine list too. When busy, maybe not the place for a quiet romantic meal as it's a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
Good attentive service without being obtrusive.
Wouldn't hesitate to return and will recommend to friends.
The food is very good with a good choice range.
Food is fantastic and the service and interaction of the staff is also very good.
Great City location
Authentic tapas and good presentation
Tasty Spanish food. Traditional but some more contemporary dishes. The mini burgers were to die for. Efficient and friendly service. Good for business or personal.
Had a really good weekday lunch here with an old friend. Food was delicious and service excellent, would definitely recommend.
Wow! Wasn't sure if this latest addition to the Pizarro collection could match the restaurants on Bermondsey Street, but it was equally fantastic. The food quality is exceptional, we were full quickly, but couldn't stop ordering more just to enjoy the flavour explosions. The lamb stew was a particular hit.
Lovely wine and outstanding attentive and friendly service. The food however is overpriced and average which is a shame. For a salad, cheese and meat you are looking at £60 and you have to pay for bread on top which should be part of the office based on the selections and overall theme.
2nd visit, food was good, service was not! Our waitress was rude and forgot some items a couple of times. To finish it off we got kicked out by someone who seemed to be the manager....I appreciate there is a 2 hour time on the table but being shouted at that we have to leave in 5 minutes was very unpleasant.
Great tapas, fantastic value with 50% off food on Saturdays!
Great service with high quality Spanish food. A must try!
I decided to give this restaurant another go and overall it was much better than the last time. The service was quite good but could have come with a smile. The food was good quality (the Hake was excellent) but I do like my hot food properly hot and ours was not - a common problems in so many restaurants (which is a bit crazy when you think what they do for a living) - and because of this I will be no more than an occasional customer.
This place is never a disappointment, food is always excellent and the service is fantastic. This is a great business spot, perfect for lunch times. The wine list has an excellent selection and the prices are very reasonable.
Really excellent dishes good choices fabulous padron peppers Indra salt in London. Great service very g loudly and prompt.
Amazing food in a good location with with wheelchair access facilities
Very good food which with the 50% discount was very affordable and excellent value. The tortilla and croquetas were cooked to order and all the other dishes contained quality ingredients. Some of the best Spanish food I have eaten in London. The wine was priced for the City Businessman rather than the everyday diner and was the only downside.
Excellent food, service and fantastic value. Tapas is one of the best in London
Good value for the area, food is tapas but with some good twist - the butternut squash was lovely as were the plantas prawns. Decent house wine too.
Around £35 per head inc couple of glasses of wine
Great food. Wine List very good but no House options
It may be worth a visit here when it's 50% off of food fod the cheese and meat platters which are delicious, but I wouldn't recommend otherwise - the service is pretty poor and the wine is overpriced (I don't mean expensive wine, I mean average wine at high prices)
Amazing! I've been to the other restaurants (Jose & Pizarro) and this is another gem! The food is delicious, in my opinion one of the best Spanish restaurants in London. And here with the 50% off offer it's outstanding value for money! Service was a bit sow at times but very friendly. Will definitely return!
Without exception, every dish was delicious.
The highest, yet most undervalued compliment, for me, is that there were no presumptions around how much effort needs to put into the staples. The patatas bravas typified this attitude to the warm and wonderful cooking. The aoili and spicy tomato sauce, that were so wonderfully and generously spooned onto the perfectly crisp and fluff filled potato squares, were so delicious I'm convinced I could have them on an IV drip to solve any of life's foodie ailments.
The Iberico pork sliders (mini burgers) elicited so many groans of delight that I not only proceeded to order an additional portion for the table, but then proceeded to eat both my portion and my girlfriend's. Not intentionally, I should add. It was a slider so pleasing to my heart, head, mouth and stomach that I genuinely ate the entire thing without realising it. Until I turned and saw the crestfallen (furious) look on my girlfriend's face, I should add.
Go. Go now. Go with at least a group of four and go to town on the menu. It'll be worth it. I promise.
Excellent tapas. Very good service. My only criticisms would be the one toilet for men and women and the wine list - needs some cheaper options - particularly on the red list.
I suppose they are aiming at the corporate market but this will deter weekend visitors.
Nice setting in Broadgate circle. Will be nice to visit in the summer
