Amazing food and friendly staff. Was a little bit let down by the seafood platter for their Friday special because there was more garnish than seafood.
Had a lovely meal. It wasn’t so busy at 7pm, but by the time we left it was. Service was great and the servers were well trained. The food was great and I’m glad we experienced it when it wasn’t winterlicious or Summerlicious.
Nice venue and nice service but The food is very ordinary and way over priced
Jump is an upscale bistro; a cross between a steakhouse for businessmen (with a great bar, by the way)
and a trendy restaurant. My sea bass entree (served with a wonderfully moist asparagus risotto) was excellent. My dining companion’s jerk chicken, the special that day, was twice the size...she couldn’t finish it—- and more of an ethnic food-truck offering. But it, too, was delicious. The ambience is modern and almost corporate (like a gentleman’s club/ steakhouse), the service extremely professional and considerate, and the food first-rate (if a little pricey, as were the bar offerings...$16 for a glass of Prosecco?). For downtown Toronto, though, it was about what I’d expect to pay for a meal of this quality.
It’s a quiet couples night out celebrating a birthday. Great service and the whole evening we were treated to top tier service.
Please do SOMETHING about your fabric napkins. The ones given to us left me and my guest with a layer of white fuzz on our pants. Not cool. Everything else was fine.
Food was amazing and plentiful.
One of the dishes that was ordered was the seafood platter. Unfortunately it was not worth the price and over cooked. Everything else ordered was excellent.
This was my first visit to Jump and it exceeded my expectations. These are the things that made it a memorable dining experience:
- having my first wine choice replaced with a more full bodied Malbec
- a server who noticed it was my birthday and put a candle and birthday message on the delicious sticky toffee pudding I ordered for dessert
- a fabulous grilled chicken main served with heavenly fiddleheads and morel mushrooms
- a staff member who saw me looking at photographs in the bar area and gave me the name of the photographer
- a warm welcome and goodbye from the front desk staff
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I was really surprised to get a salad that had pieces of lettuce that were rusted. The salad came to the table literally 3 minutes after we ordered it. That tells me that is was pre-cut ahead which is disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber
Patio was great for lunch, ambience was fantastic...Great spot for a business lunch. I ordered the fish, and the serving size wasn't quite enough, but it was good quite tasty. Waitress was amazing.
Quality of the food was disappointing. Too bad, as the service was great.
Over priced, decor was dated and service was average. Table was uneven which was very annoying, and they ran out of wine offered on the menu. I was expecting better for an Oliver and Bonacjni restaurant.
Best scallop I've ever had but the rest paled in comparison. The ambiance is almost institutional.
My experience today was beyond disappointing! Even though I made reservations a week ago, the staff tell me tables sitting empty are being held for their regular clients. What kind of message are you giving your customers?! You are not special enough to sit at that table! As that wasn’t enough the server removes our break basket without asking permission and when I question her she tells me that it was set up previously for other customers.
You are deeply offending your customers. I have business meetings there regularly but will likely not come back and recommend against your restaurant to anyone who inquires. Your manager at the front who I spoke to, was equally defensive and not professionally equipped to speak to clients.
Delicious food, fun atmosphere, great date night! Will definitely be back!
We headed to jump on a Thursday for their octopus dinner special. It was an amazing dish, both me and my boyfriend got it as we wanted our own. The patio was lively and perfect for a Thursday date night !
Service and food both impeccable. Excellent pacing for a business lunch.
Great refreshed patio with awesome new pergola! Food was, as always, well prepared and delicious. Service was excellent.
Best martini this year to start off what proved to be a very enjoyable dinner! Mushroom soup and tuna tartare were excellent, black cod entree was exceptionally good—best I’ve ever had. Bit of a miss on the steak Oscar—while tasty, the beef was very tough/excessively chewy. Very attentive service from our arrival, throughout our meal and on departure as well. Definitely worth the visit!!
25th wedding anniversary dinner, they treated us like royalty. Jump exceeded our expectations. Meal was fantastic. Very large portions for the dinner entrée. Thank you Jump!
A consistently great restaurant. Service always brilliant. Food generous portions and good variety of choices. They were in the process of setting up a new patio design. Looks great.
I had the worst experience at Jump.
The food quality was so poor and the service was the worst.
The server was very arrogant and did not follow up on our orders on time.
I would never be visiting there again or recommend Jump to any friend.
I was excited to go. Cool name, good reputation, etc.
Food was awful. I ordered the Buddha bowl. My friend ordered the butter chicken. Textures, salt levels, quantities... all left much to be desired. Neither of us were satisfied. Will not go again unless they start treating food with the respect it deserves (regardless of cost).
Jump is a good restaurant for a business luncheon. The servers attend to you quickly, take your order and the food is served normally within 15 to 20 minutes. The menu is full of rich and heavy food items, so if you're looking for a light lunch then there are not too many options. Some more lighter salad and sandwich options would help.
Friendly, knowledgeable service. Yummy food and wine.
The appetizers were very nice. The lamb was ok. Service was good. Mushroom soup was 9/10 and highly recommended. The place is quite business oriented setup with patrons in suits and bankers look :))
Unimpressed with mundane menu -was hoping for something more imaginative- but it was lunch
Found the physical environment to be shopworn verging on tacky and dirty - lousy table wedged in by the bar and access to the kitchen- sent order back - food bearly warm and undercooked as per my order
Wouldn’t go back even in a pinch so many other choices in Toronto
Delicious food and service. Loved the photos on the wall and loved it even more when we heard it was done by one of your servers. The pastas and Caesar salad were spot on so was the half bottle of Pinot noir that you had available. Keep up the excellent work.
We had a lovely lunch.....Buddha bowl and ahi tuna. Small portions, dry well done. Extremely fast service....too fast. We had our meals 15min after we arrived!! Great tastes. Obviously a business lunch scene.
Great dinner at Jump. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Rack of lamb excellent. Service perfect and a nice friendly vibe.
The food was not up to the normal high standards
Lovely dinner. Great food, excellent service (Jenna) and such a nice comfortable friendly and classy atmosphere.
Food was good but not great. Portions small, given the price. Service friendly but when we didn’t match their rhythm of quick-ordering-quick-eating we went long stretches without seeing wait staff, even when we wanted something. They did wish us well for our special occasion, which is nice. Would go back for regular dining but probably not for a milestone celebration.
We actually went with our toddler and the staff was super accommodating. The food tasted great as well.
Brilliant time at Jump. We chose all sorts of delicious appetizers including from the bar menu plus a couple of main courses and they did a fantastic job creating small portions on platters for us all to share. Luis looked after us so well as did the rest of the team. We had a blast.
Jump is the place to be for great bourbon selection and delicious cocktails. Paired perfectly with food. We had the scallops and tuna ceviche for apps, and short ribs, lamb special and duck for entrees. Friend who ordered the duck would not stop talking about how amazing it was. Everything was delicious. The service was attentive and not overbearing. Great spot for a weeknight dinner.
Excellent dinner. Rack of lamb special was perfect. Service brilliant despite how busy they were.
The food was very bland. Pork Tenderloin and Salmon were the main dishes, oysters as an app was the best thing we ordered. The service was lackluster as we were never asked if we wanted a drink refill, after ordering wine and a Moscow mule when we first sat down. We were also never offered coffee or tea.
Every year we have a friend visit from England and she always selects Jump as our go-to restaurant. No surprise because this is a consistently excellent, comfortable and friendly environment. Great food and super service. I had the chicken which I rarely order in restaurants and it was outstanding.
