Served with mixed vegetables, creamy risotto, and red wine sauce
Filet mignon tips, linguine, mushrooms, onions, spinach, and cream sauce
Delicious as usual. Will definitely go again. Soups and scallops are amazing.
Beet salad: too many beets, not enough goat cheese or pecans
Personal attention to each dish and table on Christmas Day is a good recommendation in itself. Our rib eye and pork shank dishes were well-prepared, good quality ingredients, and the portions ample enough for 2 additional meals from our take-homes. The fried oysters were fresh-tasting and the avocado sauce a creamy counterpoint. A welcome option for weary Christmas Day travelers!
Food was great! Friendly and rapid service. Definitely will be going back.
Great food and service. Love this place.
Great menu, great kitchen, nice little place to eat with friends.
Nice, intimate bistro will excellent food and service.
The food was very good. Was disappointed with Chocolate mousse. I like it creamier.
Service was great and so was ambiance. Would go back again.
This was our first time at the K Town Bistro. We both got the striped bass special. Also, had beet salad and escargot to start with, and the desert trio to finish. The food was excellent, although the snails were very small, and not really worth the price. The sampling of three deserts was great, and there was a good variety of wines by the glass offered. Service was good, but could have been more attentive. Definitely intend to return.
An outstanding Thanksgiving experience! Delicious food and wonderful service.
For me, this was a hidden gem that I will definitely visit again. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. There were many inviting choices but I was glad to have chosen the Pork Chucabuco (or something. I kept getting it wrong) which was one of the specials. It was a dinosaur sized pork lollipop with meat that fell of the bone. Served with Risotto and spinach. Yum! We were dressed up which didn't feel like a problem, even if some others were semi-casual. My only complaint was that there were to many specials to remember, I would have preferred that they be on a sheet of paper rather than trying to remember what the server said. But that is a small thing. I can't wait to go back.
This was our first venture to K Town Bistro. What a lovely surprise! It reminded us of a little European cafe. The service was SUPERB. Waiters VERY attentive. Food was TOP-Notch. We had the gazpacho as our appetizer. I had the Tuna Tartar and my husband had the Beef Stroganoff with in-house made pasta. Both were EXCELLENT. We then split the K Town Dessert Trio, which was also outstanding and just enough for the both of us. Price was reasonable. We will recommend this restaurant to everyone!
A surprising gem. Small, intimate restaurant that got all the small things right. Special of three fish in shrimp sauce was much better than expected.
Our dinner was excellent. Service was attentive without being intrusive. We have been making reservations for quite sometime and will continue to do so. You will not be disappointed.
Food was fresh, well prepared and delicious. We had beef Stroganoff and the Beef short ribs. Then finished our meal with the creamiest Creme Brule I've ever had. Price is very reasonable.
k town is my go to restaurant anytime for any reason. i've never had anything there that wasn't simply wonderful!
Heavy metal music playing from the kitchen is the only drawback, but everything else was good!
Very good neighborhood restaurant.
European gourmet fare in the heart of Kensington. Can't beat it!
Delicious hidden gem, great food, excellent service. My sea scallops were perfect and our chocolate mouse and Creme brûlée desserts divine.
Excellent continental dining. Steak Tartare was superb. Grilled salmon and scallops were delicious as well. The chicken marsala had good flavor but could have used a little more sauce. The trio of chocolate mousse, banana flambe, and creme brulee ended the meal perfectly. Highly recommend K'town bistro as a palate cleanser from gastro pub faire.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with varied menu and very fresh offerings.
Wonderful food. Very charming restaurant in a charming neighborhood.
Always a great meal at reasonable prices. Service from Edwin was superb.
I had made a reservation for my husband and I for lunch but it didn't seem necessary as there were only two other tables in use when we arrived. Nonetheless, we were given a poor table in a corner because we asked to sit next to each other. My husband had a wall to stare at and I had the service area to look at. Is there some other reason the staff couldn't be more accommodating when the room was almost empty, other than their own convenience? My trout had so much paprika on it that I tasted nothing else, my husband had pork ribs although we weren't told they were ribs, we were told it was pork barbeque. We were so sad about the entire experience we will not return. It looks to be a delightful Bistro, but in reality, the staff seemed to be bored with their work and it showed.
We were a party of 6 that included three generations of married couples, a 64th wedding anniversary, and my grandson recent wedding. We enjoyed our time at K-Town.
Great place! A little far from us but a target when needing to go to hardware store around the core!! Great food by a railroad track! What a combo!
Enjoyed a quiet lunch. Food was quite good. Salad and omelet were nicely prepare. A bit of higher end pricing but worth it for the ambience and variety of choices of food.
Great. Tasty food. Large portions. Wonderful servers. Homey environment. Go!
Excellent food, and portion size for the price. Service was very good. We will be back. Thank you!
What a wonderful place for lunch! We made a last minute reservation to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and it turned out to be fantastic. Great food and top notch service. Can’t say enough about this little gem!
The service was amazing from going into the restaurant to leaving. The shrimp tempura was the best I have ever had and the French Onion Soup, pork chop special, ribeye and wine were also excellent!
One of our favorite places. Classic recipes done well.
So very glad KTown made it through the pandemic! Food and service was superior! Don't miss the short ribs or the scallops. We tried their pate special as an appetizer. Delicious!
the rib eye steak was well prepared but the meat itself was tough , lots pot fat
the salad was very tasty and the trio desert was delicious as aleays
Food, ambience, service were all outstanding. Very pleasant evening, great staff, no wait. Food was well prepared and attractively presented. Minor dings -- the tomatoes in the caprese salad were not fully ripe, and the bread was dry. Portions were generous, prices fair.
Good choices for vegetables and seafood, nice wine selection. The dessert trio is dreamy to share! Terrific idea for lunch before exploring Kensington's Antique Row.
A charming restaurant. It's casual yet elegant. The perfect place to have a nice meal in a quiet setting. My wife and I love it.
