The food is very nice. Service is good. It lacked a bit of ambience as there weren't many people in the restaurant on the night but I have been there loads of times and it is a good neighbourhood restaurant, worth going.
Fine food with poor service....No wonder that on a saturday evening, the place was almost empty.... They're doing much more business with takeaways. And this is too bad because the room is quite pleasant. But please.... change job if you dislike working in a restaurant with customers in it !!
Simply put one of the best Indian meals we have ever had, after a long day at Olympia horse show it was the perfect end to the day. Our booking was after 10pm and service was still perfect, food fantastic with a huge variety of regional choices. Will definitely visit again in the future!
The restaurant was expensive but food good. Almost double the cost of a main meal elsewhere. Service was pleasent but not very attentive considering I was the only one in. Staff were on their mobile phones...finally had to say 'hello ready to order'.
Good curry menu at reasonable prices with very friendly staff.
We chose this from the reviews on Trip Advisor and used open table to book it., Worked seamlessly and the food was different and fantastic. Great place to eat
Prompt service and delicious food. The chilli paneer was a bit sweet and not spicy enough for my tastes, but that is just my personal preference. The mixed starters were great and the dum biriyani was superb. The waiters were very helpful in recommending dishes.
Karma once again came up trumps. An excellent variety of classic dishes along with a host of names new to me. This time I plumped for the chicken 65 starter and the dry mutton main - delicious.
A very good Indian food restaurant worth a try with friends or family.
Food was great - really fresh and tasty, with some original dishes. Service was a bit slow.
Omg omg best Indian food we have had. We have Indian food in Texas but it is nothing compared to this. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent meals, were prepared.
One of the best Indian restaurants we have visited through the years.
exellent experince with the food & drink 7 course meny. relaxed and proffesionall staff.
hope to be back in the future!
This restaurant needs a good clean in the seating area and the toilets and thats the area's we can see so I dread to think what needs cleaning behind the scenes...
I can honestly not understand why this restaurant has such good ratings the menu offered some unusual dishes so the hope of trying something new was appealing but the service was very slow and sloppy (the take always seemed to take preference over a table for 8 people) and the food when it came was not very tasty at all.
As I am not from the area and I needed to find an Indian Restaurant close to Olympia for a business meal I was very disappointed with Karma and the false ratings. I suggest that the staff are putting false ratings on tripadvisor and this site.
Good food. Good service. A lovely neighbourhood spot with yummy food.
Staff very attentive. Good description and good choice of food offered. Food was delicious. There were seven of us in our party and so we sampled quite a number of dishes. Everyone enjoyed what they had.
Karma used to be our local - we lived across the road - so it was a regular haunt until three years ago. Went back for a trip down memory lane but the food was not quite as good as we remembered. The tandoori prawns were still a hit but the monkfish a tad overcooked.
Sunday evening visit. Very quiet indeed in the restaurant but not a problem for us. The takeaway side seemed busy however. A lovely meal with excellent flavours and attentive service. Thank you.
Delicious vegetarian food at excellent prices. Staff attentive and knowledgable. Will definitely visit again when we're in London.
The quality of the food is fantastic and the staff really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Best masala tea I've ever had :)
We read reviews about Karma that were so positive that we decided to try it out one evening when we were in the area. Well, we shouldn't have bothered. Although the whole thing - food, ambience, service - is fair, or good enough, it certainly is not worth going out of your way for. It's also quite pricey for what it serves. In the end, it was ok, but we were not impressed.
This was my second time to the Karma and it was every bit as good as the first. The menu gives a selection of classics as well as some dishes that I'd never heard of before which made it a much more interesting experience than the standard fare. Everything was cooked beautifully and I will be visiting this restaurant on future visits without hesitation.
Authentic food, perfectly prepared. Service was very much OK, the timing was perfect. The restaurant is not very easy to find but it is worthwhile the effort.
I loved this restaurant - the menu had enough regional specialities that I had never heard of as to make it an interesting experience whilst having a fall back of Indian classics for those not wanting too much adventure. I went for a couple of regional specialities and was extremely impressed - I'll definitely be going back here on subsequent London trips.
Bottom line: A wonderful experience and some of the best Indian food we've ever had. The Classic Chicken Tikka was absolutely delicious! Service could not have been better. Great find and a wonderful Xmas Eve dinner. Highly recommended!!!
We were two swedish families looking for great indian food near Novotel London West and we really found it! Great staff, wonderful food, good price. The Tikka Masala was fantastic! The teenagers also loved it all! The staff treated us so well. We went home with a smile in our faces and very satisfied !
I liked the location and the service but most of all the food was really good and tasty,I liked the fresh background flavors in which the spices and the food were perfectly matched. The staff and the service made the experience very enjoyable. I would recommend without hesitation.
Quite a good choice, we picked up this restaurant by chance since it was close home, and we found it on Opentable. We were satisfied for the quality of the food and the courtesy of the service. Not being experts of Indian cuisine we followed the waiters' advice and it was a good move since everything was very good. Ah I was forgetting: the tablecloth was very appreciated, together with the good food quality he doesn't give you the idea of the typical cheap ethnic restaurant, and it is a hint of the owners attention for the guests. We will come back!
Slow, inattentive and extremely surly service made us feel unwelcome and completely spoilt an OK'ish meal.
The menu is fabulous! Our first meal was so good - we ended up returning two days later. And we love it so much,we will be back again tomorrow!
The two curries my girlfriend and I shared were pretty good, the meat (chicken and duck) was very well cooked. The bhajees were were sublime as was the peshawari naan. Only downsides had to pay for the poppadoms (used to getting them free) and the restaurant lacked any real Indian character, that you'd expect to find in a curry house in East London for example.
We are both big foodies & love curry. I had read a few reviews online & thought this sounded good. We were not disappointed at all. The restaurant was quiet & almost empty which did make me nervous although I noticed quite a few people come in through the course of the evening come in to pick up take-away orders & when we left two large groups had just arrived. The appetisers that we chose were the prawns & the stuffed paneer- outstanding! And then for our mains we stuck to the 'regional specials' & away from the standard curries that you can find in most places instead opting for a duck 21 spice curry and a mutton biriyani. The biriyani was the winner, with nan baked over the top to lock in the flavour. Service was off but food was great!
Returned to Karma after many months away last week and very pleased to report that the high standard of food and service has not diminished since we were last there. We particularly enjoy the seafood dishes, which are always very tasty and perfectly spiced (although if we had one minor complaint this time, it was that the monkfish was slightly dry). Always reliable. Just a shame it rarely seems full.
We had my brother's birthday-dinner at Karma on 10th Oct. Great real authentic Indian cuisine, with a spotless service! Absolute worth every penny, welcoming atmosphere, we really enjoyed our time there, def will visit again soon! Well done Karma!
We'd spent the day at Olympia and just wanted to have nice quick meal afterwards - but there seems to de a dearth of places within a short walking distance of the exhibition hall. Saw the reviews for this on TT and booked. And it was such a delightful surprise! Lovely food with all the usual favourites but some very unusual ones too (try the meat briyani - quite unlike what you get in the high street Indian!). Friendly relaxed service and even though it was a Friday night we weren't being hustled out as is often the case. Would definitely go again even though it is outside my usual patch.
We chose the restaurant on-line because of it's good reviews. We were not disappointed. Friendly, helpful unrushed service. Interesting menu and first class cuisine. Would definately use again if situation arose. Oh, and there is a real-ale pub at the other end of the street !
Overall an excellent experience. I went there with work colleagues who had travelled in from India. There was universal agreement that the food was near perfect. So much so we went back the next night.
Had a great meal at this restaurant last week. There was a good variety of meals and when they arrived the food was very well cooked and tasty. Service was first class.
If the weather is suitable try and get a table outside.
Karma was initially a bit noisy on arrival, but that was big parties, not the restaurant's fault. The atmosphere is good, though as we sat in a window corner with me looking out into the street my companion would be a better guide. The food was really interesting without being o.t.t. expensive - lots of new dishes and particularly good for me, a veggie. It was really nice to see the veggie part of the menu tackled with imagination. I'd certainly recommend it.
Food and service are both first rate.
