    Tempura was good, but the crispy spicy tuna appetizer had stale rice. And the sushi rice was so over seasoned, it was inedible. I started pulling off the fish and eating it like sashimi. My husband ordered the fried rice bowl with Wagyu beef and it was not seasoned at all. And the whole thing was very expensive for the quality. The service was very good though.

    Katsuya is one of my favorite places to dine. I usually go to the Brentwood location but I was seeing a show at Pantages theatre, and happy to be able to enjoy a pre show meal, then walk to the venue. If only I had enjoyed the show as much as my dinner...!!!!

    Great place to go if you have an event at the Pantages and you can park for the event as well with valet. Food is great and tasty

    Seated next to restroom door in uncomfortable bar extension dining room. For having a 6:30 dinner reservation would have hoped for better table than the worst table in entire restaurant

    Everything was great starting from the valet. I wasn’t sure about going to this location because finding parking is crazy in Hollywood. Although I was late for my reservation, the hostess was very kind and took us to our seats right away. Usually for reservations for two, we always get a small table in the most awkward seating. However, they sat us at a very nice and large table. The food was great! We didn’t have to wait to long for everything to come out. The pace of the food coming to us was perfect.

    Mario and the whole team who waited on us were phenomenal! From start to finish, they made it a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for quality hospitality, ambiance and fantastic food, Katsuya is a must.

    Honestly horrible experience. Group of young teenage weirdos walked in looking cracked out and got seated then all went to bathroom together. Felt very unsafe. Couldn't have paid for check quicker to get out of here. Go to Brentwood location to feel a little safer but still get mediocre food.

    Overall good food experience but could have been much better had the wine service been more professional. I ordered a glass of white wine by the glass but the waitress brought me a different lower quality wine without telling me! After I questioned it, she simply stated that the wine I ordered wasn’t available and she got me a different one!! I then ordered a French Malbec (top price on their list) and again I got an inferior Cabernet Sauvignon instead! I ended up canceling the drinks order all together 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Love the ambiance and design of this restaurant. Great service, delicious food and great drink selection. I have been here many times and everything I have ever ordered so far has been outstanding. Cameren provided us with stellar service and the tenderloin Toban that he recommended was delicious.

    I was very excited to try this place but I personally thought the prices were not worth the food I got. My friend got the tasting menu and enjoyed it a lot. I ordered a la carte and was not impressed. The Brussel sprouts ($16) weren’t even full sprouts, they were mostly burnt crisps. &amp; $8 for a small miso soup seemed pricey. The ambiance was cool and the service was pretty good but I personally did not think the price was worth what I ordered.

    While the rolls weren't great, the rest of the food was outstanding. Had a great time here and its instantly one of my favorites. If looking for dessert, the brown sugar donut with ice cream was absolutely amazing! Our server, Cameron, was great.

    Super fast and friendly service. Great quality food and good portions. Try the baked crab roll, miso cod which was nice and buttery and the firecracker shrimp. Sexy ambiance, perfect for a date night or groups.

    Not amazing in any way possible. Not worth the price, not much of a variety, no wow factor, no special plating and food presentation… Just a nice looking restaurant, in a great location, with too much overpriced fanciness.

    It was fine. Music was very loud starting at 7PM and continued into the rest of the night. Food was decent — higher price point and smaller portions than the OG in Studio City, but decent for Hollywood. Likely wouldn’t go back, much better options around the area like Murakami, Umeda, etc.

    Cameron was a great server. The ambiance was great but the quality of the food went downhill. It came out hot but the cuts of fish were off and the fried foods were over cooked and lacked flavor. Drinks were great.

    Every aspect of the service, cuisine, and atmosphere was perfect. My significant other is a Sushi afficiando, and she was absolutely ecstatic about the food. My only quibble was maybe turning the music down just a bit, but this is a minor consideration. The restaurant is now now a go-to for us.
