The food portions are huge! We could have shared one between two of us. The food was tasty and authentic - and very fairly priced. I marked down slightly for service as one of the waiters was a little abrupt and service was a bit slow when we wanted to get more water/the bill etc but apart from that we had a great meal. Thank you.
Great Thai place, that does classics as well as some of the lesser known dishes. Been a few times and the quality is always great! Nice atmosphere and lovely staff, I can highly recommend!
Lovely venue, romantic and warm. Pad Thai was awesome. Chicken leg dish was a bit dry.
Mocktails were awesome!
Great food and service
Food is excellent and the there is a lot of variety. Service was good and had a really lovely night
Massive portions here. I came for lunch and couldn't finish my noodles. It's a good place for a payday lunch with a pal.
Excellent food with very generous portions and friendly staff! Was fairly loud but that just goes to show that everyone was having a good time! Would highly recommend to anyone.
They accommodated a large booking well, there were 12 of us. They did forget one dish but discounted 50% for that plate to make up for it. It was a nice gesture but a shame it happened. Food overall was good, 'poo sacks' still in the prawns which wasn't ideal and I would expect to be taken out in a restaurant. Small cozy restaurant, nice decor and good selection of drinks.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Very busy but we knew it could be so booked in advance. Highly recommend.
Overall a good time. Food was tasty. We had the chilli oil wontons (veggie) which was good although can't taste much of the filling as the yum sauce is quite strong. But its yum. Also had veggie potstickers and for me the pastry is just that tad thick but it's a personal preference. Mains were the week's special pad cha with Prawns which was good and the pork belly pad krapao which was yum again, the sauce was sweet but not too sweet and moreish. My egg looked like a bit got lost on the way to the table and wasn't resting on my rice like my friends prawn dish. But no matter as the yolk was still runny and I just put the small egg on my rice and my friend gave me her yolk haha. Quite a bit of onion in my dish which on reflection was probably to compensate for the fact I asked for no bell peppers. Again, no matter as my dinner mate was happily swapping them for the green beans in hers. Win win. Wasn't spicy though as described on the menu... Could have done with more spice for me but was very tasty anyhow with some good melting fat on the meat too. Best thing, that.
Lovely setting, very friendly and extra helpful staff .
Great meal all round!
I booked through Open Table 30 mins before the reservation time. When I arrived with my party of 3, we didn't have a table because of the delay apparently through the app. I was embarrassed and we left .. the alternative was a 45 minute wait. It's not so much Kin's fault but the App, but you need to make your guests aware of this so we don't arrive and you can't accommodate us. And I certainly don't want to receive a "how was your dinner?' email when I clearly wasnt there. All just a bit of a disappointing experience really.
Food is excellent as always but the portions seem to be getting smaller and therefore, value for money is going down...
The staff handled seating process very poorly, seated other tables before us and made a fuss about us giving up the table in 1 hour despite us having a reservation and the slow service. Typically love KIN and the relaxed ambience and service so was sad to have such an odd experience!
Good food, great staff & good location
My friend and I visited for a the third time and the meal was really disappointing. My friend had noodles, which she said were very greasy. I had one of the specials, a beef meatball and brisket soup. The broth was nice, the meatballs pretty tasteless and the brisket was SO fatty - I know it should have some fat running through it but most of it was inedible.
KIN never disappoints. Food is always incredibly good - which explains why it's always packed and you should book a table or be prepared to wait up to 15-minute wait at lunchtime (but so worth it)!
Good Food and value. Very busy lunchtimes and service still good.
Great ambience, staff were friendly and helpful. Good quality of food.
The food was delicious. Service was quick and efficient, the waitress checked up on us and made sure everything was alright. The 4/5 stars rather than 5 for service is simply because there was some confusion with getting us our bill and I had to flag someone down to get some more water a few times throughout the meal but honestly that’s just nitpicking. It was a lovely place and I’ll definitely go back if I find myself in Farringdon. Thank you!
Great food, great vibe, great price!
Food was delicious, waiters were initially friendly but hosting 14 of us seemed to get rather complicated for the waitressing team and so it took a long time to get settled. We also only got part of the deposit back, as 2 of our teammates were unable to make it - which seems slightly unfair given how large our party was! Would recommend but it's a small place so smaller groups definitely easier to accommodate
A cosy and lively restaurant. Good food and menu selection, and decent portion size! Great value. Will definitely go back
This is a great place for lunch or dinner - some interesting food, and friendly service
The food here is great, but the staff were inattentive and somewhat rude.
Really enjoyed our food and the pad Thai was really nice. Not too spicy but had a good kick to it.
Service was good but felt they wanted our table back as it did get busy towards the end of our meal.
I would recommend and I would go back!
Had to pre-order, since we had a larger group at peak time, but it meant we were served quicker and more time to socialise with each other
Great food and the ambience was perfect. Make sure you book as it's very busy at lunchtime!
The pad Thai was spicier than previous times so I was taken by surprise. Noodles are fresh and service was good
This was my second visit to Kin, it has been a while since the first but the food was just as good as i remember it.
The chicken wings are amazing, so make sure you get yourself some of them. All the other items we ordered we good too but the Chicken wings stood out. Something I didn't expect was the size of the Calamari starter. The portion was great but the size of the actual pieces were a little overwhelming and I think it would be nice if the time was taken to cut them a little smaller.
The service is a little rushed if I am honest, this isn't a complaint - I also don't expect to receive an email, call and text from a restaurant to ensure we are coming. It would be good if you only opted for the text option in future. My only small niggle is - please could you make regular mojitos, when we asked the waitress she said no. It would be fine in any other instance but you have lychee Mojitos on your menu, what does one do when they are allergic to Lychee?
Starters tasted great.
Main courses lacked flavour and seasoning. Chicken is precooked and added in.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Having looked into this, I can see you ordered the spicy chilli yaki udon dish to be made milder/non-spicy. In hindsight, our team should have warned you that by requesting a less/non-spicy version, most of the flavour from the dish would be lost/removed. We have since retrained the staff & adjusted the menu description. I would also add that customers are very welcome to send dishes back if they are unhappy with it. Thanks.
Good Vietnamese although some dishes are spicy so careful about what to order if yo don’t like that.
Good service, nice staff and all pretty quick.
Hi Mary, thank you for your kind words and positive review. Yes, some of the dishes are quite spicy, I hope everything was ok for you on the night. There are quite a few dishes we can make milder and a handful where we can make it non-spicy aswell. Many thanks
Excellent little place with fantastic food and service.
Hi Vinny, thank you for your kind words and for choosing KIN. We're really pleased you and your friends had a great time.
We made a booking on a Friday at KIN and the table was ready when we arrived. Staff were very friendly and service was prompt and good. The duck spring rolls were delightful and my singapore noodles were delicious. My friend had another curried noodle dish which was a bit too spicy for her so if you don't like much spice best to ask! Cocktails were nice too. I would go back. Good value for money.
Thanks Helen, we're really pleased to hear you had a good time.
Great small restaurant with nice staff and delicious food.
They gave my vegetarian friend, chicken accidentally, then when we tried to swap it the waitress was incredibly rude before deciding to finally get us a new Pad Thai without chicken.
The food NEVER disappoints! Service is friendly and efficient. Very popular so best to book or arrive at 12 noon!
Amazing as always!!! Especially as they have finally started to do milder versions of the super spicy dishes!!
Fantastic food, great restaurant, a small cosy dining room so can be a bit noisy but for a street thai restaurant that's what I'd expect.
