Another excellent experience at King William at Tilney. Food was exceptional and service was good as usual. We were meeting friends for over 60 years and they all said how good their meals were.
I can fully recommend this venue.
Lovely visit, well looked after, tasty food. Glad we booked. Will definitely be back.
Greeted with a smile the staff were attentive and polite all night the food was lovely great choice of drinks will definitely be back
Fantastic food very highly recommended. All. Three courses were a delight.
Will defo go again .... and soon
Visited here for father’s day lunch and we were not let down the staff were extremely polite and very attentive.
Food was exceptional the Roast Beef was beautifully cooked! Highly recommend this place it’s the 3rd time we have been here and have never been disappointed.
Excellent food, service and value as usual. On this occasion, a couple who had not been to the King William before, came with us and they were extremely pleased to have been introduced to it. You have gained two more fans.
We were staying at the Inn and so had our evening meal and breakfast here. Staff were all very friendly and the food was lovely. Very nice decor and atmosphere.
Lovely pub although stone floor makes it a bit noisy. The service is friendly and attentive and food is served without too long a wait. They are very good with my son who has learning disabilities. The menu has a good range supplemented by specials and vegetables are always good. One thing that is very welcome is that they offer smaller portions of main courses which is great for those with smaller appetites. The cheesecake was delicious. The crumble is served in silly shallow dishes with a jug of custard so it is impossible to pour on the custard. My son finds this particularly difficult but they were happy to bring his in a proper pudding dish. One thing that was particularly thoughtful was that they rang in advance to say that there was a problem with Visa payments so that we were forewarned. Lovely evening and we will be back again.
We had a very pleasant meal at the King William, although my husband was hoping to have one of your lush pies (I had told him about them from a previous visit of mine, but the very nice young lady waiting on tables said if we ring ahead next time that you could certainly do a pie, so we will be back.
Excellent food with good service. A lovely evening.
Lovely birthday lunch on Sunday for my mother's 85th. Service was friendly and helpful. Good choice of food and especially welcomed the generous selection of vegetables. The cauliflower cheese was especially good. Only criticism is that because of the stone floor etc it is rather noisy making conversation difficult.
Good value for money. Of particular note is that many of the dishes come in two sizes. Great if you are trying to shed a few pounds!! Friendly staff. Good parking.
Service was excellent. Food very good, if maybe a tad on the expensive side, but no complaints.
Good food excellent service would highly recommend
The King William just gets better and better. The food is beautifully cooked and presented without ever straying into pretentious "gastro-pub" territory. The simple and tasteful ambiance is perfect and the service is friendly and prompt. By keeping the menu short but doing everything well, the Chef strikes exactly the right note. The only problem is that it is now so popular you really do have to book ahead most nights of the week. We love it.
Busy pub but very efficient and friendly staff. Food excellent. Will not hesitate and go again
We visit the king Williams at least every 5 weeks and the food is outstanding. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much bother and they really look after myself and my friends. Absolutely love it here
Delicious food, well made and presented, great service.
We always get a good meal at the King William and have no hesitation in booking. One of the things that I always comment on is the fact that even if there are 12 of us in the party they never cease to bring all our food out together. Nobody is kept waiting. Very, very good service given by friendly staff and the food is always first class.
I took my parents for Sunday lunch for my Dads birthday he was 86, we all cleared our plates, which I think says it all
We have been to the King William on many occasions and have never had a bad experience. The food, service and ambience are consistently good. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anybody. One of the main reasons we like it is because most items on the menu can be ordered in 2 sizes so that if you don’t have a huge appetite the smaller version is more than adequate.
Excellent location just on the outskirts of Bath with B & B also, very friendly staff with excellent service. A very good menu with a wide variety of choice. All three courses were outstanding. I would rate this the best restaurant around.
We had a lovely family evening in the restaurant to celebrate my husbands 60th, the food and service was excellent and the staff all very friendly. We have been here a few times now and it never disappoints always an enjoyable experience.
Excellent evening - good quality well cooked and tasty food with exceptional service.
Fantastic as always
We felt the portions were very small for cost I had fish pie and the other two had stroganoff .
I will go again as I feel they were probably too busy to bother as we did not have Xmas meal and the food in the past k
Has always been excellent .
friendly greeting, shown to the table or asked if we preferred a drink at the bar first. A nice table, there was a good atmosphere. Attentive service without being overbearing, good menu choice, very reasonable. Overall a really good meal, tasty food, interesting dishes and very well priced
It was a little cold in the restaurant, the food was good and well priced, the staff we me were lovely.
Delicious food and good service
Great for lunches or evening dinners
Excellent food, friendly service, cosy atmosphere. Will certainly return.
The food was excellent as always. One of the waitresses had such a miserable face almost the whole time but her colleagues made up for it particularly one of them. It's a lovely place, can't wait to be there again.
Could not be happier to have this as our local. Staff are always so friendly and helpful and the food is yummy. Some half portions too if you have a small appetite.
We ate here on Wednesday, 25th October, the Inn was busy, with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were professional, friendly and very accommodating. The ambiance was relaxed and welcoming. Music in the background did not intrude on conversation.
The menu offered a variety of food, something for everyone. We would recommend the tender lamb curry and the special of sea bass with chorizo.
Wine selection was very good and a good price.
The meal was extremely good value and we would recommend the Inn for any occasion.
It's always a pleasure to eat at the William. The staff are lovely, the food is great and it's such a welcoming place to be.
Thanks to everyone for providing us with such a great service :-)
Very nice night out, food excellent and service very quick, very good value for money
I had a meal at the King William with a group of friends. Couldn’t fault a thing. The food was well cooked and very fresh. The service was very attentive but not over the top. We felt very relaxed and that we weren’t being rushed to order. We were a group of ladies that hadn’t seen each other for a while and had lots to catch on. Glad that we booked a table as we visited on a Wednesday night and they were very busy. Highly recommend the King William and I would definitely visit again.
Food was excellent, served quickly ,friendly atmosphere would visit again.
My wife and I went there for a Sunday lunch having received a gift voucher. I chose beef and although there were only two pieces of beef they were fairly thick. The vegetables that accompanied this were well cooked and adequate. However with only three roast potatoes I thought it a bit stingy especially when one was too well roasted and so hard to cut I had to leave it partly uneaten.
My wife had Macaroni cheese with salad & garlic bread and although it was flatbread and tasted of very little garlic she thoroughly enjoyed it.
My dessert of Apple & cinnamon crumble was very good but my wife who ordered a trio of ice cream didn't get one of the flavours she asked for with no apology so I assume that someone wrote it down wrong or read the order wrong. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. All in all a very nice Sunday lunch although I was a bit disappointed with my main.
Overall a very nice light lunch in pleasant surroundings
We received great food and service as always. Thank you
