With enthusiastic and fun-loving new owners, it’s no wonder Kitty O’Shea’s is quickly becoming a favorite in Tenleytown! Located on Wisconsin, 2 blocks from the metro, Kitty’s has already become a neighborhood institution. Not only does Kitty’s have some of the best prices in town, they offer a great selection of beer and entertaining staff. Traditonal Irish fare, such as bangers & mash or Shepherd’s Pie, are always a favorite. Their reuben burger or house made veggie burger are also not to be missed. In the mood for a little something different? Try their Irish curry fries or an Irish benedict for brunch! Regulars agree that the food is unbeatable, especially when paired with daily drink specials, great music and comfortable atmosphere. Don’t forget trivia Tuesdays and karaoke Wednesdays! Play 60+ games on the old-school arcade table or any of their free board games. Try a root beer barrel and say “Hi” to Ruth!

This restaurant does not except reservations from OpenTable. I made a reservation through open table. I got a confirmation the day before. When I called the restaurant the attended that answered said that they do not take reservations through Open table. So he did not have a reservation. Turns out that there was no problem getting a table.

This restaurant considers itself to be an Irish pub. Having Irish beers on tap does not make it an Irish pub. I ordered the lunch menu Fish and Chips. What arrived was two small pieces of battered fish, each about 4 inches long and about 3/4 inches square including the batter. The "chips" were 1/4 inch French fries similar to what you would expect at a fast food place. The coleslaw filled the fork once and was gone.
Fish and Chips is a meal that I order often and enjoy. This was a poor substitute.
