What Insiders Are Saying
Koba is a swish spot that’s perfect for giving friends an intro to the joys of Korean barbecue.
Took 45 mins for first dish. Late to be seated after booking in advance. Cramped dining environment.
Koba is probably the best Korean restaurant in London imo. The bbq is always of very high standard. Service is always amazing and helps with the bbq. Fried chicken is the best in town. Try the raspberry wine - it’s brilliant.
Very thoughtful of frying the meat for us and split it in portions. All dishes are delicious.
Very tasty and the staff were extremely attentive!
Very authentic Korean BBQ
Expensive for Korean bbq, stuff was toooo attentive. Not authentic and traditional for Korean bbq.
Went with a friend and we had the Korean BBQ which was really tasty. Would recommend.
Great ambiance and location. The Koba bbq selection was a nice choice but the meat was not as fresh as I got a stomach ache soon after eating there. The worse thing is the service, they rush you and they don't even let you do your own bbq. They just keep bbq the meat whether you want to eat that next or not. For the price I wouldn't bother.
Food and service was friendly, although it did feel like they were rushing us to leave.
Requested for a wider Table as we like to order alot of food but they still gave us a small, which limited our ordering and comfort.
Good Korean BBQ with great vibe. The ambiance is lovely. However, the food we ordered took sometime to arrive. We were recommended by a close friend and they have had amazing experience with Koba. We did enjoyed our food as everything was tasty and fresh, only the downside was the time it took for the food to arrive. We had to cancelled one dish because it arrived after we had finished our meal. Overall, we liked the place and will go back.
Great food and service
The staff was really welcoming and took good care of us. My sister is gluten and dairy intolerant and the staff made sure to check every dish before taking her order.
I would definitely recommend.
Since my last visit, which was quite a long time ago, it seems like there is a lot more attention to detail in things like presentation. Although the food has always been great. I will definitely be coming here again.
Great authentic Korean BBQ experience. We did however want to bbq our food ourselves and felt a little rushed by our lovely waitress
Excellent and attentive service. Food was great as well!
It was very mediocre.
This has been my second time at Koba. The food is simply delicious and the service very friendly
Alternative Mother’s Day
Family loved the experience, food was excellent. We were surrounded by Asian families and couples having Sunday dinner. Would def recommend
Was a joint birthday celebration for me and and my son. Love the fact that they have a fan extractor above the bbq! Clothes did not smell of food.
There are better and less expensive Korean BBQ places. It was good but not great and sorrily unlike other places kimchi is not an automatic accompaniment when you order a mixed meat option for two. Probably won’t come back. It was good once.
It was my first time at Koba and trying Koren barbecue ever We loved it and will be back!
Extremely good service and amazing food! A good place to taste Korean barbecue!
Good place for a modestly priced set menu lunch. I would go back again for a relaxed evening.
Food was good however ventilation was terrible as our clothes stink after the dinner
Not good value for money. The portion of food that you get is tiny and the price is premium. Especially if you go as a couple that you cannot order a lot without paying a lot of money wouldn't recommend it. The meat is even smaller than a proper meat dish in any other restaurant and with no sides. You will leave the place hungry.
Great value for some authentic tasting Korean food. We ordered a lot of food to fill 4 people and it came together to be under £140 which I thought was incredible for its value. The taste was sensational as well which made it even more better. My favourite dish was the yukhoe was very good, goes well with the bibimbap main and a Korean BBQ on the side.
Service wasn’t great , had to ask someone to take our order , no explanation given of how the menu/experience worked , had to ask staff for more drinks , wrong quantity brought to the table. Felt like we shouldn’t have had to summon staff as often as we did. The food tasted fine though.
Food and service are fairly good. Slightly expensive than supposed to be. Quite noisy when we were eating.
Great resturant, very attentive service and yummy food.
The food, service and drinks were all of an extremely high level and enjoyed by myself and 3 friends. Out favourite drink was the Cherry Blossom cocktail and we thoroughly enjoyed the Koba BBQ platter for our main meal. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely return myself.
Very good quality of food. My children loves the Korean food
The staff looks in a hurry, the ambience is good, i think food is less compared last year.
Rice £9.50 its too pricey. Not coming back anymore, will try different one.
The rib eye was amazing! The egg fried rice was great too. We really enjoyed the cooking experience!
Very slow and disorganized service
Loved Koba. First Korean bbq and it was delicious. All food cooked in front of you. We had the spicy chicken, yummy lean beef and amazing stir fried rice dish. Excellent! Recomend to everyone!
The food served in this restaurant is above the normal Korean restaurants that I could find in central London.
The waiters were not very friendly. Part of the experience is to watch the food being cooked in front of you, it was amazing up until our sea food BBQ was burnt and even though the waitress saw the mistake, none would approach us or take the responsibility. However, after waiting around for someone to approach us, we finally called over a waitor, who then was nice enough to offer to replace the BBQ. Just a shame really to what could have been a lovely night.
I would recommend koba for the experience of Korean bbq. Food was good, restaurant was quiet and minimalist, staff were attentive however we were always aware that they expect you out in an hour and a half. We had no starters or desserts between 2 of us and it was that amount if time.
