What Insiders Are Saying
Koba is a swish spot that’s perfect for giving friends an intro to the joys of Korean barbecue.
Great authentic Korean BBQ experience. We did however want to bbq our food ourselves and felt a little rushed by our lovely waitress
Excellent and attentive service. Food was great as well!
It was very mediocre.
This has been my second time at Koba. The food is simply delicious and the service very friendly
Alternative Mother’s Day
Family loved the experience, food was excellent. We were surrounded by Asian families and couples having Sunday dinner. Would def recommend
Was a joint birthday celebration for me and and my son. Love the fact that they have a fan extractor above the bbq! Clothes did not smell of food.
There are better and less expensive Korean BBQ places. It was good but not great and sorrily unlike other places kimchi is not an automatic accompaniment when you order a mixed meat option for two. Probably won’t come back. It was good once.
It was my first time at Koba and trying Koren barbecue ever We loved it and will be back!
Extremely good service and amazing food! A good place to taste Korean barbecue!
Good place for a modestly priced set menu lunch. I would go back again for a relaxed evening.
Food was good however ventilation was terrible as our clothes stink after the dinner
Not good value for money. The portion of food that you get is tiny and the price is premium. Especially if you go as a couple that you cannot order a lot without paying a lot of money wouldn't recommend it. The meat is even smaller than a proper meat dish in any other restaurant and with no sides. You will leave the place hungry.
Service wasn’t great , had to ask someone to take our order , no explanation given of how the menu/experience worked , had to ask staff for more drinks , wrong quantity brought to the table. Felt like we shouldn’t have had to summon staff as often as we did. The food tasted fine though.
Food and service are fairly good. Slightly expensive than supposed to be. Quite noisy when we were eating.
Great resturant, very attentive service and yummy food.
The food, service and drinks were all of an extremely high level and enjoyed by myself and 3 friends. Out favourite drink was the Cherry Blossom cocktail and we thoroughly enjoyed the Koba BBQ platter for our main meal. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely return myself.
Very good quality of food. My children loves the Korean food
The staff looks in a hurry, the ambience is good, i think food is less compared last year.
Rice £9.50 its too pricey. Not coming back anymore, will try different one.
The rib eye was amazing! The egg fried rice was great too. We really enjoyed the cooking experience!
Very slow and disorganized service
The food served in this restaurant is above the normal Korean restaurants that I could find in central London.
Loved Koba. First Korean bbq and it was delicious. All food cooked in front of you. We had the spicy chicken, yummy lean beef and amazing stir fried rice dish. Excellent! Recomend to everyone!
The waiters were not very friendly. Part of the experience is to watch the food being cooked in front of you, it was amazing up until our sea food BBQ was burnt and even though the waitress saw the mistake, none would approach us or take the responsibility. However, after waiting around for someone to approach us, we finally called over a waitor, who then was nice enough to offer to replace the BBQ. Just a shame really to what could have been a lovely night.
I would recommend koba for the experience of Korean bbq. Food was good, restaurant was quiet and minimalist, staff were attentive however we were always aware that they expect you out in an hour and a half. We had no starters or desserts between 2 of us and it was that amount if time.
Amazing food, however staff do not let you cook food your self. Our table was double booked and we were asked to leave before the time was up even thought there was plenty of empty other tables. Staff were very rude when called up on it had no time for us and never apologised for double booking the table. Ruined the whole meal.
Food quality is good but portions were relatively small
We had to wait for 40 minutes for our drinks (no kidding), which almost ruined the experience. But the meat, kimchi and banchans were excellent! Loved it <3 Would like to come back even though the service is slow, because the food was so yummy!
Had a lovely time, food was very nice and the staff were excellent.
This place was brilliant. Booked a table for two, found the staff very friendly and very helpful. We got the Korean BBQ plate from the lunch menu specials, which was really good value for money. You get a decent bowl of rice accompanied with 3 sublime dumplings, a delicious salad, fantastic soup and kimchi, beansprouts and spinach together as a side, all od which was very fresh. The meat we got chicken and beef were good too, the chicken in particular was absolutely amazing in flavour. As we were inexperienced with Korean BBQ the staff were very helpful in assisting us and it was overall an excellent experience. Will be returning soon
I’m a returning customer, still like the food but service could me more attentive , felt ages for waiting for drinks and food . Definitely not on the budget side as food is just as pricey as in Mayfair .
I love this place. Best barbecue at your table place I know. Good value, service, decor and most importantly food.
Really good food and service, was very impressed.
Loved the starters - prawn dumplings and korean chicken were very tasty. Platter for bbq was also very good.
Good food and service as always in a lively restaurant
Delicious food in a great setting. The service was perfect to begin with - staff very friendly and polite- but the restaurant got very busy towards the end of our meal and so a drink and side order had to be requested three times before they arrived. But I would still recommend a visit!
Probably the best Korean restaurant in London. Food is well balanced between authenticity and local appetite. Portion could be a bit more generous but other than that mostly perfect.
I had picked this restaurant practically at random from the list on opentable and didn’t know what to expect. When we arrived 5 minutes before our booking we were asked to sit and wait for our table which was “almost ready”. We sat there for 25 minutes before it was actually ready. The food however was amazing and a pleasant surprise. Something different and completely not what we expected. We were having an early valentines meal out and would thoroughly recommend for others in similar situations.
The food was good but expensive compared to their korean restaurants. Great kimchi though! Note: The menu online showed cheaper prices than the menu in the restaurant.
I’d never recommend a place that charges 14% or service charge for table for 2. It seems with such small reservations, a tip would do rather than enforced 14% service charge. It is just too much....
