Good food bad service. Very rushed. Lift your last bit of sushi and your plate is already in their sink.
Très bruyant et très cher pour ce que c’est.
Delicious food as always, but waiter very pushy with wine.
Love this place! Great food, service, lighting, atmosphere.
Excellent food, definitely need to try the Black Cod and Rock Shrimp. Service was very attentive and a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Will be going back again and again!
Amazing as always! Food is outstanding and service and ambience are also great.
Attentive and friendly service culminated in a birthday surprise at the end!
Great sushi and great atmosphere in lovely Parsons Green. Their cocktail menu is wonderful!
We liked the flame man, please don’t tell him off any more! Food was outstanding! Will visit again.
Supposed to meet friends but they had to cancel last minute. Staff was incredibly accommodating and everything was top notch. They now have a list of their wonderful whiskeys which wasn’t available last time. I definitely enjoyed sampling the options! Food was delicious and service impeccable. My only hesitation is the cost, which if you’re prepared for, is worth it. But we spent more here than Nobu, Dinner, and various other Mayfair or Chelsea dining destinations. Overall, a neighbourhood gem for the right occasion.
This is the best upmarket place in Fulham. Never disappoints. The cocktail bar is great too.
Food was brilliant, service could have been a bit tighter by taking dirty plates off table. Also more vegan things would be great.
Sadly a slight let down. We used to frequently visit when it was Mai Tai. Sadly this is playing on a reputation of trying to be Nobu - similar prices, but without the finesse, quality and care. The food did not have the same delicacy in preparation, and the wine was direly cheap quality but heavily priced - our bottle felt like the reduced section of our local Co-Op and vinegary in comparison. We don’t mind paying for good food and wine, but it felt like someone was pushing for a profit return and had taken their eye off the ball. It just leaves for a bad night. Service was slow off the mark for drinks and food order and all felt a little bit mutton dresses up as lamb... £300+ for 2 people for 1 bottle of wine and a drink at the bar each leaves the impression “must do better”
I was disappointed you did not enjoy Koji we do our best to make sure that our guests have a wonderful evening. We do not try to be Nobu but have often been favourably compared to them. It is a shame you did not speak to your waiter about the food & wine. No wine should taste vinegary it is possible the wine was corked or just not to your taste. We readily change or refund both wine & food if you are not happy. We are the same owners as Mao Tai & care as much about our restaurant as we did then.
Nice buzzy restaurant and good service but very expensive for average food.
It is always the best idea to enjoy Koji
Wonderful meal; as good as you’d get from Zuma or Roka. First time we’ve been but definitely not the last. Expensive for this part of time but decent value given the quality and overall experience
The food was very good. I highly recommend the tacos, they were fresh and tasty. The service was excellent very attentive and friendly. And they went the extra step and acknowledged the occasion at the time of dessert.
The only reasons for slightly marking down the ambience is that it is quite noisy and the value because price for portion size is a bit high.
Overall a nice restaurant for a special occasion. We’ll definitely be going back.
Lovely/fun ambiance; great food and impeccable and friendly service! Thank you for a fantastic experience.
Cocktails are over priced one was even £27.50
and tasted pretty average.
The menu is generally over priced.
Outstanding restaurant and staff. The food in particular is fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Koji seems to be about style over substance. The service was reasonably attentive for an average restaurant but well below what would be expected at the price. The food claims to pride itself on fresh ingredients but in reality it was disappointingly average. The sushi platter included some fish which was not at all fresh and looked like it had been hacked by a blunt knife. For £65 for 14 pieces of nigiri (before service charge) I was expecting something out of the top drawer, it was far below that and I’ve had far better at half the price in many other places in London. If going with a Japanese theme it would make sense to invest in a Japanese chef. Disappointing and ridiculously overpriced for what is delivered.
First time my children ate Japanese food and were made to feel really welcome. Food was excellent full stop, definitely coming back
Food portions were very small, especially the tacos.
First time here and the food was incredible, some of the best Japanese cuisine I’ve tasted in London, service was also on point, very attentive, polite staff that always had a smile on their face. Will definitely be returning.
Great food, great atmosphere. Superb place for a special night out.
The service and ambience were great and I like the decor very much. Unfortunately, my yellowtail sashimi was not fresh (strong smell and slightly slimy) and my husband’s chicken skewers were tasteless. The spicy soup was delicious and the nigiris were fresh and beautifully presented.
Excellent sushi in a great restaurant. Sushi rolls some of the best I’ve had
Beautiful setting and food. Would absolutely recommend Koji if you are looking for great Japanese food with a lively ambience.
Just the best food in west London
It’s ok. If you sit at the front it’s like having dinner in a fairly lively cocktail bar and we felt food was a bit expensive for what it was.
Always great food, with quality ingredients and expert cooking, nice fish. Overpriced wine and especially cocktails but consistently enjoyable meals.
The restaurant looks very nice and the food is definitely very good. Negatives are: noisy place and very high prices. Not something I would look for if you are interested to have a true Japanese experience.
We went here a year ago, very nice experience. Here it was for my wife’s birthday, service took ages to take our order busy with large tables...food was also a disappointment in the end, even if the waiter tried to make it for the wrong start, overall we will not come back...
always nice pan-Asian food, great sashimi and ceviche! Nice cocktails, good buzz
Excellent food. The spicy tuna and crispy rice is amazing.
Great food. Brilliant ambience... but way too expensive. There are japanese at this level that are 30% cheaper.
Food was really nice and very good service from the waiter (not the maitre). However, feel it is too expensive. Went for dinner with my wife an 10y old son, no wine and one desert, and paid 230 pounds! I have paid less in a few Michelin star restaurants.
Always a treat and always great food. Start with cocktails - some of the best in town. The food is fab - fresh and so tasty. The ceviche zings, tempuras are light and crisp and the meat perfectly cooked.
Favourites are still the black cod, small battered prawns and Spicy lamb.
It can get noisy at the weekend but we love the buzz. Service is excellent and superb front of house (Denisa).
Highly recommended but not cheap. Food and service was impeccable but for the area is very expensive.
Really lovely food and great atmosphere. I booked the table to celebrate my B-Day with few of my friends and had such a great time!
