Koji’s ethos is simple; a fun, fine dining experience celebrating the vibrant zests & precise methodologies of Japanese cuisine with the delicate & creative fusion of fresh European ingredients. Found in a glamorous yet relaxed setting, Koji voices it's soul & character through the sounds, the décor & the ambience created throughout the night.
every dish was delicious you could taste the different flavours coming through, it was fresh and moreish. We had very good service, friendly and attentive and we tried a Hanky Panky cocktail they were making for Valentines day...it was very good, you could taste the gin!!!
Fantastic place with a great cocktail bar for pre-dinner drinks. Innovative menu with lots of light food and outstanding sushi from the sushi bar.
The food service ambience everything is amazing but .... it is super expensive.
The dishes we ordered were just ok. We tried two different tacos (minute, canape size at most) which were not eye rolling, the yuzu squid, which portion was good sized and well seasoned but also not so special and the wild prawn gyoza which lacked the boom factor which would be expected. Then, we had two different mains: the charred octopus and the duck breast. The octopus was really tender and tasted good and the duck breast was again dull, lacking the wow factor. Finally, we had two different desserts, the cappucino tart and the caramel pineapple crisp. The tart was delicious, but the tart base was too crunchy and made it almost impossible to take a spoonful with all the different parts of the dessert. The pineapple was neither crispy nor caramelised, just cooked, but the side with the apple compote and icecream was really nice. Overall, I find the menu a bit too pretentious and overpriced for the food provided. On the bright side, the service was really nice and attentive.
Very very good but comes with a price. As expensive as Nubu
I suspect we got Ill from a California Roll which tasted fishy and was mushy texture in the mouth. When asked how the meal was by a very attentive waitress, we explained that the roll tasted off. Waitress suggested she would take it off the bill (sub £10 item on a £100 bill). We thanked her.
She came back and said the manager said no, but we could have something else. We said don’t worry as we were not feeling up for more foot.
It’s two days later and we’re all still feeling a dodgy stomach.
We r very distressed & sorry you feel u became ill in Koji. We treat this very seriously & are puzzled. Koji is a very busy restaurant & the Calif roll is a big seller. The crab you ate came from the same crab that fed many otherguests that night & we did not have any other problems. As no-one else was ill your illness may not be caused by food eaten at Koji, but isolated incidents are possible. We employ an independent company who check randomly every month that r staff follow- see next message
The best food in a very long time
Great dinner as always koji always delivers
Always fresh flavoursome food. Great fresh fish. Attentive service. Overpriced wine.
For £75 a head with one bottle of wine between 3 the overall experience has to be outstanding.
The food was very good but portions comically small in some cases eg tuna tacos. When the cheapest
wine on the list is £48 then there is something wrong.
We are happy you enjoyed the food & disappointed you felt the portions were small. Japanese food is costly to produce & serve, our dishes are costed as keenly as we can. For our wine list we select each producer & try to offer a wide range of high quality boutique wine in both price and taste. We have a very good Chenin Blanc at £33 & Picpoul at £39, Pinot noir at £33 & a delicious Gamay at £39, we are always looking for fine good value wine for our guests.Thank you for your review kind regs
Love Koji, the food is amazing. But the place is a bit noisy.
Great food, service and atmosphere. My family and I go to Koji for our special occasions and it never fails to disappoint.
Poor food quality for the price
Food quality is good but dishes come one by one in a slow manner and its not something i am used to, this is the second time i visit the restaurant and same thing happened to me.
Rock n roll shrimp was the best thing I have eaten in a long time. Sushi made separately from the kitchen on the sushi bar - fantastic asset for Parsons Green. Loved it.
New Years Eve
Wonderful, the quality of the food and atmosphere were both amazing! Recommend to all!
The whole night was wonderful - we came for new years as they had a DJ playing. We sat at the Sushi counter which was better than I expected and the staff were very friendly! The food was very nice, small portions for the most part and a little pricey.
The tacos were extremely small and the vegetable tempura were alright but other than that our food was delicious.
Incredible food; rock and roll shrimp is out of this world! Equally great service.
Great food as always
Sushi was not as good as other times. Otherwise food was great, as well as service and ambience.
Great food and service. On the expensive side but food delicious
Great place, wonderful food, wine list and service. I will definitely return. A real treat and the restaurant is beautiful. Cocktail menu is brilliant.
Great restaurant, I loved the food and the ambience. The service was excellent I would definitely recommend and I'll be going back soon.
Best black cod in London ! Absolutely delicious food cooked to perfection. Wines all overpriced I thought which pushed up the bill. I would have preferred a choice of more reasonably priced wines. But back to the food. Exquisite. The sea bass ceviche was deliciously citrusy. The black cod the best in London. Crispy rice delightful. Service extremely attentive and polished. Great place !
Visited this place 5 years ago last time and it was great, but this time was absolutely appalling food was below average. And so overpriced
We've owned a restaurant here for 35 yrs. 5 yrs ago it was szechuan chinese & for the last 4 yrs Japanese. The two cuisines are incomparable in terms of ingredients & price tags. We use only the best produce, but that doesn’t mean it's to everyone’s taste. We are not infallible, we could make a mistake with a dish or two but I think a blanket description of 'appalling' is very harsh. If a dish is incorrect or not to your liking we will happily replace or refund it you just have to tell us
It's an excellent restaurant and there aren't any other good Japanese(fusion) in the area. But it's definitely not cheap. Worth considering there are some unique dishes . I'll go again. Always on special occasions
The quality of food is impressive, best sushi in London
Our waiter was so on it all night !! He made it such a good experience for us !
Delicious Japanese fare from sushi to slow cooked short rib it is a wonderful mix of smallish dishes that can be shared supported by a strong variety of cocktails and other drinks. The staff were helpful in explaining the menu and very attentive throughout the evening. It was expensive, but more restraint with the drinks menu would bring the evening back in line with what is acceptable quite easily. Overall, a great place for a treat.
We had an amazing night in Koji last night. Service and food was first class.
Quite expensive but the food and service was really good. Great experience, recommend
Amazing food and ambience!
Great food, amazing service, reassuringly expensive . The service was attentive without being overpowering, the wine list was lovely and the cocktails were great start. On a par with Nobu - but we’d definitely go again
Great grill dishes (loved the steak, skewers) and a fabulous carabinero sashimi.. Sushi could be better.
The food at Koji is outstanding. In particular, the black cod in miso is a must! The sushi selection is great and it is executed very well. Delicious food.
It was my partners birthday and the staff were very kind by writing happy birthday on his dessert plate and a candle in his cake.
All the staff were very friendly and exceptional.
The cocktail menu is vast and each and every one is delicious.
I would bring anyone here because I’m certain that the food and ambiance will deliver every time.
A hidden gem tucked away in Parsons Green with amazing service, food and decor; perfect for a date night
Lovely evening. Cocktail orders were prioritised for the bar patrons which was a bit of a shame. Other than that amazing food and lovely atmosphere.
Food was good but not outstanding and it was quite expensive.
Always a great evening
