Kuro- Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood FL
Amazing food and service
Always so consistent. Some of the best sushi in town.
Highly recommend the seared salmon appetizer and the tuna tatake.
When we first arrived, Luna (very sweet) helped us to our table and we were handed a drink menu only. After about 3 minutes, a gentleman approached and served us water. I then asked if I could see a food menu. At this point, my mother and I already knew what we wanted to drink and just wanted to look at the menu to order food. The gentleman proceeds to tell me “sure, I’ll go get your waitress”...why can’t YOU bring me a food menu since our waitress hasn’t even touched our table? Our waitress, after at least 5 minutes, finally comes over and hands us a food menu. After we put in for drinks, we order our food. We ordered 3 things: crispy rice, shrimp tempura maki with avocado, and the chef choice sushi omakase (which includes 1 roll and 12 pcs of sushi to try) priced at $50. Within 7-10 minutes of ordering the first thing to come out was the omakase and from the moment they brought it, I was disappointed. What was put in front of me was not even close to being worth $50, and honestly it was extremely sad. I wanted to say something about it, but my waitress was no where to be found, at this point she had only been at our table twice. I was finally able to grab another waiter so that I could speak to the manager. Cliff (the waiter) asked if there was anything he could do first before having to grab the manager and I expressed my frustrations, he agreed and told me to give him 10 minutes so he can come up with a better solution for me. While waiting, my mothers shrimp tempura roll came out and the crispy rice. The shrimp tempura was nothing spectacular but the crispy rice was delicious! Cliff brought out 8 pcs of sushi with a much nicer presentation totaling $48. They looked much nicer (still small), but they were good. As another kind gesture, he brought out a complimentary sushi roll, a cute dessert for my birthday that is next month, and some green tea for the end of our dinner. Cliff was fantastic and I wish he was our waiter from the beginning
Went to Kuro for my birthday, great choice. Excellent food and service at a good price point. Will certainly return.
Amazing food and service as always. Able to make a miced drink with passion fruit juice so appreciated
I just celebrated my sister birthday and we were very disappointed. Very expensive and the size portions were ridiculously small.
The service was good but there is no way I will come back. I wished i picked a different restaurant to celebrate this special event.
4 of us ordered appetizers and mean courses some or our appetizers came after two of us was already on main course. And one main course came way after the 3 of us were done eating!!
Restaurant is beautiful inside. The food was very good. This was our first time eating here. The sever accommodated us by having our food served quickly. We had a show tickets. I recommend eating here if you are visiting the Hard Rock Hotel.
Snapper in brother was outstanding! The service was friendly but a tad slow, most probably
Due to the holiday season. One thing, they were “out of” 2 of their signature cocktails that we wanted to order, not cool for a corporate entity like Hard Rock, how does the F&B team roll if they can’t stock their properties??
All in all, would go back... :-)
Food was amazing staff and waiters where the best we had ate the brunch they had on weekend and was not impressed almost did want to go back but am glad we did they knocked it out of park and definitely will go back highly recommend
Jay is awesome. We request him every visit. Dee the manager makes us feel like family. The food is outstanding. This is our favorite restaurant in the world. Can’t wait to visit again.
The food is very good, new combination and sauces, everything is good, only the price is very high but its good to know.
The restaurant is a beautiful venue. However, everything is way overpriced for what it is. A glass of wine is $16.00. The portion sizes were minuscule and highly overpriced. The food is good but nothing special. It’s a 1 and done.
Food is fantastic
The service at Burger King is better.
Probably one of the best meals from beginning to end I’ve had in a long time! Service amazing.
Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere
The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The food is extremely small portions and not of standard for a high and expensive restaurant you would expect. Minimum flavor in the food.Disappointing since they just re opened and in the past I have eaten there many times before.
Went to celebrate two birthdays, mines & my friends. We had heard great things but , it just didn’t live up to what we were expecting. The server wasn’t engaged & had no knowledge about the menu. I cannot recall his name. The menu was a little all over the place price wised. The waygu taco’s good but super small, the A5 was delicious , skewers ok, but not for the price. No starch or good sides. Halibut, ok the supporting components didn’t really go well. The tempura shrimp good, fresh & niced sized. The sushi rolls good. The nigiri price was high but they were good. The soup with miso , good. The tuna crispy rice was the let down wasn’t fresh & good. Drinks were good. Didn’t get to have dessert but I saw a table eating a chocolate mousse bar that looked delicious. I think the servers need alittle more gusto, & invest in the dishes on the menu, add something like bibimbap, and more complete components to the entree’s. More sharing items. Set for atleast 4-8. Prices need to be more cohesive.
Food was amazing as always. Our server was attentive and we very polite.
Manager was super nice accommodating our needs as was the waiter and all the service staff! Loved it.
We had a delightful dinner, the wait staff was great and the food was delicious. However, I put the charge on my room. Upon checking out I was told I owed over double what I should have paid for the meal ($143 charge which included tip was now $260+). It took almost an hour to get to the bottom of the discrepancy. It turns out the restaurant put my $143 total as a tip instead of the $22.60 I left. 😳 In addition to talking with the hotel finance department to get it straightened out, I also emailed the restaurant explaining the situation. The restaurant never had the decency to respond, however the hotel did. I understand mistakes happen, but say you are sorry for what happened and the hassle I went through to get it corrected.
Overrated and overpriced. The service does not match a high-end restaurant. Only two in my party for dinner, our food arrived at different times. Our drinks arrived at different times. Wait staff not attentive, we had to ask for water glass refill. This was our second visit, first was a little better. We will not go back a third time. High-end restaurants usually make you feel special; we did not have that experience at Kuro.
All the food was amazing. Best modern Asian food I have had.
This was an amazing experience! The service was outstanding. Our server gave us incredible food recommendations and sake was delicious. I will definitely go back
Food is incredibly overrated and overpriced. Service is Abismal. We spent $400 on dinner and got Taco Bell on the way home. The only thing free flowing was the wine, once you were able to flag a waiter and a menu down. Much better food and service exists elsewhere.
Had high expectation but definitely not worth it. Much better choices around.
Food was not amazing it was just ok, the service was good but for the price I was expecting a lot better
Brunch , over priced for what you get , service is not up to high end standards, they canceled my reservation twice had to call in to make sure my table is still reserved , food was ok but nothing special , desert suck!
Not what I expected 🙁
Expensive and nothing relevant that can make me go back.
The absolute best. The best sushi I’ve ever had. The service is amazing too. My friend ordered lamb and it was out of this world.
As always, food was outstanding and service exceptional! Thank you!
The service was outstanding. There were so many servers/busboys checking in on you in such a friendly and personable manner. The raw salmon and chocolate bar dessert were some of my favorites (at this, and probably, any restaurant!). The high price deterred me from ordering some of the other fun things on the menu that I wanted to try because the selections were diverse and creative. It was almost like an Asian tapas-type place. I liked that afterwards there was a band right outside the door at the perimeter of the casino (Friday night).
Amazing food and service!
What an amazing experience! the food is fantastic and the service exceptional.
The menu selection did not have a lot of cooked selections that I have been able to find on other Japanese restaurant menus. The server tried to encourage me to try the Wagu beef but at $24 per ounce it wan't an option. We ordered a "carafe" os Saki which turned out to be a small container for $31. We dined with friends and we didn't feel that the food was outstanding compared to where we have eaten. We were also bothered by the smell of cigarette smoke drifting in from the Casino.
Stephanie was exuberant as usual... a very nice person to take care of us.
