First time at this steak restaurant and it did not disappoint. The welcome was friendly and a perfect table was provided for hosting customers. The steak, several types, was just sublime, cooked to perfection and so tender. Would suggest making the side dishes and sauce boats slightly larger, didn’t feel quite enough although we’re big eaters. The bill was a very pleasant surprise too, coming in way under expectations. Can’t recommend highly enough and will back again soon.
Top quality steak. The other food was nice as well but the steak was by far the highlight (which it should be a steak house!)
Service was excellent and regular check ups were handy as we ordered a few more sides once our original order came up, which were delivered in good time.
Everything was amazing. The only negative part of the experience was that it was too hot inside the restaurant and the standstill fans were not sufficient, given that it is summer I can forgive this though.
Meat eaters heaven, with particularly good beef, though it has to be said other dishes are very good too, and there’s value wine. We thought the service was particularly helpful and friendly.
Restaurant manager incredibly rude. Ruined the whole celebration.
Amazing service. A great return visit. Thank you Kyloe
We had a fantastic experience! Food was fantastic and servers were extremely helpful. Will definitely be back.
Viande excellente, très bons conseils. Service au top
Our food was great. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the fois gras was a very generous portion. The bernaise sauce was delicious.
My steak was not up to the usual outstanding standard, when I mentioned this staff were excellent and I did not have to pay for main course or coffee. My friend’s meal was of the usual outstanding standard. These things happen with steaks but the service and effort made by staff mean I will go back.
Fabulous meal in great surroundings - thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.
We were in Edinburgh for a few days last week. When we asked for a recommendation to esat a good steak, Kyloe was the name we heard, twice.
The suggestions for the menu were really good, the meat was really really good, and the service was amazing.
The steak was perfectly cooked to our taste and the sides we ordered were very good indeed. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive and all in all it was a great meal and a great experience.
Very nice food but overpriced and lacking in green side veg. Friendly service but the music was terrible, too loud and kids were crying and moaning - not a very relaxing meal.
We had a great meal and a lovely time.
Fantastic place! If you like steak it is an education! Great atmosphere, great service, great food!
On arrival the staff member at the bottom of the stairs was a bit to brusque in asking if we had a table booked. There is a nicer way to greet people and assuming that we do have a reservation rather than don't would be a good place to start.
Aside from this we had another wonderful experience in Kyloe. The staff are knowledgeable and genuine and the food is quite simply fantastic. We'll definitely be back.
Enjoyed the experience, but at the end of the day it was only an overpriced steak.
Another amazing meal and service was fantastic. Steak was good perfectly and the sides were so tasty!
Great food and exceptional service. We will definitely be back
Food was delicious, explanations by the server were perfect, service was attentive and friendly and couldn't have been better
Excellent food and all staff have great service. Came for my partners birthday and he was wished happy birthday by a few members of staff and received chocolates and a candle at the end. Would highly recommend
Were nice relaxing market kuch. Food was lovely and staff were very good. Well worth a visit.
As soon as we entered the restaurant, my husband and I were made to feel very special and this continued throughout our dining experience. The staff were polite, helpful and knew exactly what they were talking about. The food was great, tasty and absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting Edinburgh!
Great place to dine, always enjoy ourselves here.
Amazing every time, especially if you go on a Tuesday with the fillet steak deal.
Wonderful meat, well presented, outstanding service, a completely amazing evening.
If you're looking for something a bit more special, then try this.. food was fantastic and the service was impeccable.
Don't get me wrong, it's not the cheapest restaurant in the city but you won't regret it.
First time in Kyloe and certainly will not be my last. Great food and very knowledgeable staff! Very well looked after by all.
Went to Kyloe for my birthday last year and it was amazing! My wife wanted to go for hers this year so we did. It was a little disappointing. The service was fantastic but the filet steak not so much. It didn’t taste like a £31 steak and was as if it had been done in a slow cooker. Good but not as good as the first time. Would still recommend to anyone who wants a fine steak restaurant I think we were just unlucky.
The best meal ever, very nice and friendly members of staff.
Very welcoming and attentive staff. Menu was explained clearly and nothing was too much trouble.
Steaks were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious.
Would be better value if potatoes/ chips were included with steak rather than as one of the extra sides. Also felt wine was massively overpriced. However, for special occasions it is a fabulous restaurant offering top quality food and service.
We were 4 friends meeting for lunch. We booked table on-line which was easy to use and turned up for 1 pm. The restaurant was quite quiet at that time but this had no negative impact for us. All the staff that served us were charming and made our whole experience most enjoyable. We had 2 courses from the set menu and all plates were cleared. Delicious.
This was my second visit to kyloe. The best steak I’ve ever tasted. Great atmosphere and great service
So disappointed table booked for 20.45 table not ready for 10 minutes starters ordered arrived 21 15 fine at 22.25 still no main courses. Approached the staff and was told they had a large corporate do on so food was late. A manager came over to explain why our food was late and offered glass of champagne and a corporate card but as it was so late and at 22.30 indications were 5 more minutes so we decided not to wait and left
I would say this experience was one of the worst encountered compared to the previous evening at Dine near the usher hall. Will never go there again
We ordered two steaks one was good the other was shockingly sub standard . It was cooked medium rare and came to the table hard and flavourless which was an incredible shame as this wasn’t the first time we had been there . I feel that the quality of the steaks have deteriorated. Rather disappointing as this is a restaurant that specialise in high quality Steak / Beef . Would we go again ? Not sure !
met on the stairs at entrance and shown str8 to our table. waiter was great explaining all the different cuts of meat and how they should be cooked. food excellent and a nice wine too. staff all brilliant .
Great meal a wee issue with the drinks but sorted out smartly by the manager will definitely be back
I’m never disappointed when I dine at Kyloe, their hosting skills are always superb and the food is so good it’s a talking point even when I get home. With a great menu for all tastes and the waiting staff having extensive knowledge of menu ingredients it is a restaurant we recommend to family and friends.
I was politely asked if I had any food allergies or intolerances when seated. I do have a gluten intolerance and when the complimentary bread came before our meal arrived, I was given an alternative homemade gf individual mini bread. No fuss and discreetly handled unlike some dining experiences where I feel my intolerance is highlighted. My husband and I had the Chateaubriand to share and it was cooked perfectly and so tender. The gf bread with an aubergine and tomato accompaniment was just lush.
Excellent meal, best steak we've ever had. Waitress was very friendly and informative. Service was excellent, we were made to feel very special.
