The food was not worth the price at all. I felt like everything needed seasoning. We had the mixed appetizer, and it was like frozen food from a Walmart. The “spicy” chicken tasted like bad Chinese food. The cheesesteak egg rolls or whatever they were, were about the only good thing on there. My husband ordered a lentil soup…well.. It was horrible..
The steak- I had the delmonico “special” just not good, it was chewy and tough. My husband said the lamb chops were good but that was it.
Our server was very nice, and he did a great job..
I’m pretty sure the food all comes from Walmart though.
excellent east side kosher restaurant. Ambiance was classy and elegant. food was fantastic.
Very nice experience
Excelente food and service
A nice great place to get out for a business meeting and family gatherings! Great staff delicious food!
GREAT PLACE DOR A BUSINESS DINNER. SIDE ROOM COST $350 THOUGH, WHICH WAS A BIT PRICY, ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAD CONFIRMED FOR 6.
It was nice to have to Kosher fine dining during Passover. Note, they aren't keeping 'social distancing' between tables so if you're not vaccinated take that under consideration.
Dinner at La Brochette was excellent. The servers and hostess were very friendly and the food was great. We really enjoyed the sampler. I would definitely dine there again.
My wife and I went to La Brochette for Valentine's Day. It was very crowded and clearly not complying with Covid-19 guidelines. Once we were seated, the waiter came quickly to take our order. We ordered our food and asked for a wine list which the waiter said he'd bring right over. Ten minutes later, the server came with our food but we were still waiting for the wine list so we asked the server for one. He said that he would bring it to us but we finished eating before anyone came back to our table. At that point we were so annoyed that we just asked for the bill & left. We wound up being at the table for a total of 45 minutes ... not the type of experience one would expect for a restaurant charging $70 for an entree.
Maybe the service isn't so rushed on a typical night but our experience was terrible so we won't be going back to find out. Quite honestly, even if the service was amazing, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area with better food at a more affordable price.
Was amazing opportunity and was a last minute appointment and lucky me I found it available, I did enjoyed the food but the concern about the places is should have more waiters but food quality was amazing, I can’t wait to come back
It’s not open!
The food was absolutely delicious. The servers were extremely attentive and kind: would totally recommend to anyone looking for a awesome meal.
Excellent food excellent service. Very expensive.
Even for a kosher rest, this place is way too expensive!!!! $45 average burger and $22 average salad $45 average chicken
This was a good dining experience - some of the best kosher steak in the city. However, the decor was pretty plain and did not feel like a fancy restaurant (as it should based on what they are charging). Also the staff didn't seem to know English fluently which caused some difficulty with ordering. But all in all, given the amazing food, I would definitely recommend.
Price was high but food was good not great.
Overall the food was good and service was fine too. There was an issue with the credit card reader (was a sat bight and they had to call a tech in who didnt come given the late hr) but otherwise it was a good meal and not so expensive. Only other issue we had is that were we seated by stairs and it got noisy as people came and went which was a bad seating choice give the fact that when we came we were one of 3 paties seated
Very expensive, food was less then average
A bit expensive, most kosher restaurants are a bit pricey. Good food and service. Would recommend for all occasions.
The restaurant was a good experience overall. The food was outstanding. It was expensive, but it's NYC and Kosher. I had the lamb chops and they were delicious. The person at the table next to us was extremely loud, but that wasn't the restaurant's fault. The service was only okay, but overall I was happy.
Very accommodating from reservation to payment. Very flexible and all raves about the food - we had roughly 20 folks for a business dinner. Thank you, La Brochette!
Really good food. The service was amazing. Ambiance is outstanding. Definitely will be back there.
The people and service were really nice but I was a little disappointed with the food. I ordered the filet mignon. IOver cooked and tough to cut. Fine dining prices for mediocre quality food.
Top notch place for personal or business lunch (or dinner). Excellent & interesting menu with good ambiance. Service is also wonderful. Prime location on 40th & Lexington (just south of Grand Central Station). Will be back here soon.
Great kosher restaurant
In general, La Brochette was "OK", but certainly not as good as I would have expected for the price. Our waiter, while perfectly acceptable, seemed a bit surly and while he was never rude, he did not show any enthusiasm or levity. At a high-end restaurant, you expect exceptional service and the service was just average at best. While my dining companions did enjoy their steaks, my filet was over-cooked and tough (for a filet). While the flavor was very good, the filet definitely did not have that "melt in your mouth" vibe that you expect from an item costing over $50 (just for the steak). The Sushi was good, the salads were excellent. We had lava cake for dessert and while the lava cake itself was delicious, the "ice cream" was freezerburned. The décor of the restaurant was elegant. Over-all I expected more out of this establishment, but if they correct a few things, I might go back.
This place has delicious food. High quality steak and other meats. Our waiter was very prompt and willing to go an extra step to make us happy. However, the ambiance was very weak and didn't represent the quality of the pricing on the menu. After a major renovation, this restaurant would be over the top!
Excellent food and Excellent service. I would definitely recommend to a friend or business associate.
Although I come to La Brochette often, I have never written a review until now.
The entire night was exception, the food, the service, everything. In fact, my client was celebrating his birthday that day and the entire wait staff came out to sing him happy birthday! Truly a memorable experience once again!!
Iw old highly recommend La Brochette to anyone who wants an incredible meal with exceptional service from the staff !!!
Passover Kosher meal
Great foot excellent service will come again.!!!!!
This meal was not one that was memorable! The food was ok- not great. I thought my steak was not exceptional. My family had fish which was also ok, but nothing to remember. The decor was very bland - I felt that I was in a cheap diner.
Worst of all - the cost was absolutely ridiculous.
Looks like they increased prices for Passover, I guess they have a captive audience. I’d recommend other places in nyc where the experience is significantly better.
Excellent dinner. Expensive because it was Passover but the food and service were great. I would go back.
We wanted someplace nice to take our nephew who was in town for business from London and La Brochette fit the bill nicely. The food was excellent, the atmosphere what upscale. The room was a bit loud at times for our conversation, but perhaps I’m just getting old!
A fantastic restaurant hidden away on the east side. The service is very detailed and every worker is aware of your table.
The food and cocktails were fantastic. Very fresh and beautifully presented.
Food was spectacular and the establishment should consider itself lucky to have Siggy as its maitre'd.
What an exceptional place! Warm atmosphere, quiet, attentive staff. Food was delicious!
This restaurant is very expensive, but the food was outstanding, the service was great, and the ambience was delightful. There is no better kosher restaurant in New York City.
Great food and environment for business lunch or to meet friends. Excellent value. Service top notch. One of my favorite kosher places in Midtown NYC.
