Our favorite waitress, Debbie, always makes us feel at home when we come in. She remembers everything from our usual drink and appetizer order down to the way I like my pasta. My husband and I drive 30+ minutes to get to your restaurant and never regret it. Food is always excellent, service is always top notch! Thank you, Debbie and to the staff at La Campagnola for always making our experience a great one!
Terrific as usual, calamari is amazing!!
We were a party of four, arrived at scheduled reservation time left two and a half hours later. Very slow service on a typical Saturday night.
Met with friends. Had to sit in bar area because event in main dining room. Noise was a little loud but bearable. Service was good. Food excellent.
Kim was a wonderful server. My wife and family enjoyed celebrating her birthday
I have had chicken Marsela and veal marsela many times. My experience here was that the veal marsela the gravy tasted like sugar water. I would come back and try another dish a second time. The veal pacata was good.
Wonderful location for a dinner with a friend! Excellent food and service.
Delicious dinner. Had to wait half hour with a reservation. Seems like a place a bunch of regulars go to. I would go back, not on a Saturday night.
Absolutely excellent!!!’ Delicious and perfect in every way!
Loved it as usual. Waiter Patrick was excellent. My favorite dish is their pork chop.
Don't get the table for three upstairs. drafty window,
The food was delicious, nice ambience. Waitress and assistant server were very attentive. It was a birthday celebration and from the hostess to the waitress they all wished my mom happy birthday. We all took food home as very generous portions.
We love La Campagnola both for just casual dinners or something special. We've never been disappointed. It also has a vibrant bar scene with live music on the weekends. Always a fun evening. Try it, you'll like it.
You may wonder how a review could have five stars for all categories and end up with a poor overall rating., I will tell you. My family and I had a wonderful dinner at LaCampagnola. I had a total of $140 in two gift cards, purchased by different people on different dates. We enjoyed our dinner, had dessert, and chatted with the waitress; and then we waited and waited and waited and waited for the check. The waitress came by at one point to tell us the system was down and we had to wait for our check. If it was too much longer she joked that we could just "dine and dash." The boll finally arrived about 10-25 minutes later. I gave her the gift cards and she went to process the check. Knowing the bill would require additional funds, I also gave her a credit card. She promptly returned to humiliate us with her declaration that there were zero balances on both cards. I insisted that had to be an error and gave her the receipts that accompanied the gift cards. We waited another ten minutes and I went in search of her and a manager. They were huddled around the hostess station trying to figure out how to handle the situation. At one point it was inferred that I could just pay for the meal. Long story short, I told them they could keep the gift cards and figure it out. I reclaimed my credit card and we left. Ten minutes after arriving home, I received a phone call and was told that indeed there was $140 on the gift cards and the system issue caused the problem. I was told the system was down for 45 minutes...that was not my fault, but they made it my problem. The way the entire situation was handled was unprofessional and humiliating to me and my family. It was a terrible end to a wonderful evening.
Food was delicious and the wine flights as well. We sat near the bar area so it was a little loud but it was not an issue for us. We will be back!
Found this restaurant via FB review. Decided to try it with my family. Was absolutely delicious! Service was great. Will def go back
Waitress wasn’t having a great night, received a poor cut of meat that should have been trashed and not cooked to temperature. No one at table thought meal reflected the price. Third visit and third strike, no wow factor for the buck.
Excellent as always!
La Campagnola is a welcome addition to the pizza joints and other "convenience store" selections in the middle of the beautiful Wharton State Forest. It's large and accommodating and innovative... really a wonderful destination restaurant for a Girl's Night (as was my last visit) or a celebration.
Staff is plentiful and attentive, and you'll usually get a visit from the manager.
The bread basket includes a few squares of delicious tomato pie, and asking for change-ups or additions on dishes is never turned down.
The bar doesn't disappoint... vast selection of wins and beers, and mixed drinks are turned out perfectly.
From our appetizers to our desserts... innovative and delicious food.
Unfortunately, I ordered my strip steak rare, and that wasn't a good choice with this beef. Inside was as I'd asked, but there was no sear, and that left the fatty strip elastic and difficult to cut away. My choices were to finish the butchering of the cut myself, or to struggle my knife through each and every bite.
HATE sending food back to the kitchen to begin with, but conversation at my table was intense, and it would have been inappropriate to turn my concentration towards finding someone to get it back to the kitchen AND take the time to explain the problem. I took it home and will finish it myself this very evening.
We'll be back.
All you can eat snow crabs tasted fresh & were perfectly cooked. Tuna steak was perfectly cooked and was delicious, as was the salmon with port wine reduction. Calamari appetizer was delicious. Overall satisfying experience.
The service is always great. We love dining here. It is easy for my 80 year old mother-in-law to walk into. The food is always excellent. It is our go to for birthdays.
Good and service was excellent. Not many tables full so it was very quiet and no problem conversing. The seven of us agreed each dish was excellent. We will definitely return.
Love this place
Unfortunately I only gave 4 not a 5
Because when your are just two people they have some seating that just should not be Like sitting almost in the fireplace I never want to give a bad review and I’m not The food is amazing.
Just got stuck there 3 times very uncomfortable.
Amazing food amazing service always our go to place
We will never go back after we were asked to leave because someone else had reservations for our seat. We spent 250.00. We did not know they had a time limit on each table. It was very very RUDE!!!!
Delicious meal. Friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere
Food was very fresh. Actually, it was delicious! But on a side note, I was never forced to pay an extra $5 for vodka sauce for my side of penne pasta, especially when you consider the actual price of the meal. Martinis were perfect and didn’t get charged extra for the olives.
Cara was an outstanding server she went above an beyond for our table of 5 (3) kids! Great experience on a quiet Sunday evening! Will be back, our new favorite.
Excellent food. Great restaurant for date night.
Always a good experience. Food is always fine whether you eat in the dining room or bar area.
Great food and service
Our overall experience was very good, we did have to wait for someone to acknowledge us when we arrived ( we had reservation for 2 p.m. and didn't get seated until 2:10 and they were very slow when we arrived ) After being seated our server came over and took our drink order 1 water 1 corona and 1 hot tea with milk, our server brought the tea with lemon and left by the time we saw her again she ws asking about appetizers and the tea was already tepid. when I asked for milk for my friends tea " oh she wants milk". I asked her about the prime rib special and she told me that it didn't start until 2 p.m. I just looked at her and calmly said that we had a 2:00 reservations and we had already been here for at least 1 half hour. when then saw another server taking care of a larger party and she was informing them of the specials of the day. we didn't even know there were any specials???? Overall the food was excellent and the the staff were very friendly our only issue was we felt that our server could have been more informative, quicker and friendlier.
We've always liked La Camp but this time was not great. Waitress was not very friendly. Did n't tell us specials until after we had all decided and had been waiting for her to take our order for quite some time. The calamari was just ok - my meal - again ok but nothing to rave about. They were out of gnocchi and spinach pasta, both choices on the menu. Can't say we would go back again very soon.
Food was good, especially one of the newer appetizers, spicy fried avocado bites. Our waitress, Kim, was great. Very professional, efficient & friendly.
Food was wonderful.
Service was very good and the food was excellent as always! You can’t beat their spaghetti Bolognese!
Excellent service! Attentive & friendly without being intrusive. Good food & reasonable.
