Chef and Owner Giuseppe Martuscelli's roots and knowledge of fine foods and wines originated in the town of Santa Maria Di Castellabate near Salerno, Italy. Giuseppe came to America with the Italian Navy in 1967 and returned to stay in 1973, settling in Newark, Delaware to open La Casa Pasta in 1978.
Since then, he has made it his goal to serve only the most authentic Northern and Southern Italian foods. Each year, he travels back to his homeland and beyond to learn new recipes and import ingredients not to be found in the states.

Every time we visit I order something different and each time it’s incredible and delicious. The food and service are both great! Highly recommend for a great date night.
I recommend to eat here, I would definitely go eat there again! Food was delicious, people there were very nice, atmosphere was very pleasant. Prices on the food not bad at all. Check it out.
Loved our late lunch at La Casa Pasta. You must order one of their homemade pasta dishes when you come here.. the lasagna was classicly delicious and the lobster ravioli light and mouthwatering.

I hate to open with a negative but if you only read one sentence: avoid the salads. They are exceedingly over priced and not a good value at all. I really hate saying something so negative about this place, but it’s true. My family purchased 3 Caesar salads which cost $24 and we could have gotten the same amount of food for $6 at Wendys. It’s also a lesser quality salad than say the FREE side salad served at chain restaurants such as Longhorn. It’s just not acceptable. I shrugged off the cost because of the times and knowing they contribute to charity, but any other day I would have polititely had a discussion with the waitress.
That aside, I love this place. Their food is simply fantastic. I’ve either had or sampled the ravioli, gnocchi (soft like a pillow, as it should be in my opinion), the carbonara, fried calamari, lasagna, veal saltimbocca, and the branzino. All the pasta is of high quality, and the sauces were great. I want to particularly call out the veal and saltimbocca. The Marsala sauce was simply exquisite and the branzino was so finely prepared and some of it practically melted in my mouth.
Again, I hate to have opened this review with such a negative comment but I have to be honest, but don’t let that stop you from going here. The food is amazing, just don’t get taken for a ride with the salads (sorry La Casa Pasta).
it was chilly so take a sweater in the winter. But food was good. Lasagna was the best but not a big portion.
I always love going there - i had the Saltimbuca - delish every time but i didn't see the Gnocchi on your menu anymore :( but again the service was great and the food was excellent as always..
The food at La Casa Pasta is outstanding! If you're unsure, any of the homemade pasta dishes will delight you. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. This is a really nice restaurant for date night!

We have been going to La Casa Pasta for over 40 years. It is always been one of my most favorite places to have a special dinner.

Visiting daughter in Delaware and she had mentioned La Casa Pasta and after doing some research, we made a reservation. Our waitress was very friendly and food was very good.
I would not hesitate to go back. Growing up in an Italian family and making our own pasta, there are not too many we revisit.

The food is amazing and never disappoints. The Fusili Santa Maria is one of my favorite dishes. They also have an excellent tiramisu gelato. Wished it could be purchased in stores!

I just love walking into this beautiful restaurant! I always get the blackened salmon, while my husband loves every Italian dish on the menu! We've brought many friends with us to La Casa Pasta over the past years. The atmosphere is just wonderful and the food is great!

We were a few minutes late for our reservation (senior dog issues) but arrived and were seated promptly. Jamie was our server and made the stress of our tardiness disappear! She efficiently told us about the specials and recommendations. Each of our courses came out hot and appropriately spaced out. The portions are good sized so we both ended up taking half of our meals home and ordered dessert to go! We'll definitely return
If you like Italian food, this is the place to go. The pasta was fresh, the bread was perfect! Clams Casino are a must if you like that. We can't wait to go back! Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service. We drove 45 minutes...it was worth the drive.

One of the best Italian restaurants in New Castle county. Food was excellent however extremely disappointed that they do not (according to our server) serve anchovies on their Caesar salad. Otherwise food and service were great!
Very clean. Staff was helpful and courteous. Food was delicious but ridiculously small portions for the price. No soup or salad is included with entree, everything is extra. You could tell the restaurant is doing their best to accommodate the pandemic.
Noise level was quite high, would not recommend if you’re looking for a quiet dinner.
