Chef and Owner Giuseppe Martuscelli's roots and knowledge of fine foods and wines originated in the town of Santa Maria Di Castellabate near Salerno, Italy. Giuseppe came to America with the Italian Navy in 1967 and returned to stay in 1973, settling in Newark, Delaware to open La Casa Pasta in 1978.
Since then, he has made it his goal to serve only the most authentic Northern and Southern Italian foods. Each year, he travels back to his homeland and beyond to learn new recipes and import ingredients not to be found in the states.

I just love walking into this beautiful restaurant! I always get the blackened salmon, while my husband loves every Italian dish on the menu! We've brought many friends with us to La Casa Pasta over the past years. The atmosphere is just wonderful and the food is great!
Typically have a great experience but this time the server and staff were rude. Service extreamly slow. Food was great.

We were a few minutes late for our reservation (senior dog issues) but arrived and were seated promptly. Jamie was our server and made the stress of our tardiness disappear! She efficiently told us about the specials and recommendations. Each of our courses came out hot and appropriately spaced out. The portions are good sized so we both ended up taking half of our meals home and ordered dessert to go! We'll definitely return
If you like Italian food, this is the place to go. The pasta was fresh, the bread was perfect! Clams Casino are a must if you like that. We can't wait to go back! Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service. We drove 45 minutes...it was worth the drive.

One of the best Italian restaurants in New Castle county. Food was excellent however extremely disappointed that they do not (according to our server) serve anchovies on their Caesar salad. Otherwise food and service were great!
Very clean. Staff was helpful and courteous. Food was delicious but ridiculously small portions for the price. No soup or salad is included with entree, everything is extra. You could tell the restaurant is doing their best to accommodate the pandemic.
Noise level was quite high, would not recommend if you’re looking for a quiet dinner.

Always like going to La Casa Pasta before Covid 19 & still do. Only have ate inside 2 times so far but they do a great job spacing out everyone & the food is still delicious like always. Our Waiter Alex we've had the 2 times this year is great !

Let’s start with Jaime. She was attentive and knew her menu. We treated our friends to dinner because Covid has kept us apart. Their veal and pasta dishes were so good, only one had leftovers to bring home. The strappy guys licked their plates clean. The Burrata chess was a huge hit as well as the sautéed calamari. Bread basket with olive oil to dip. Hungry yet? After dinner coffee. One with Baileys , the other with amaretto. We will def be back!!!!

We are moving out of the area but made sure to make another stop at La Casa Pasta. Even in these difficult times, they did not disappoint. The prices have gone up but I fully understand. I want them to make it!
We come here a lot and love the food and the environment. Our waiter, Brandon, was awesome and was very attentive, always made sure we had bread, drinks, extra napkins, etc. we have been coming here for years and will continue to do so!!!!
My husband and I enjoyed our 51st Anniversary Dinner at La Casa Pasta. We were pleased to be greeted with "happy anniversary" by our host before we were seated, and informed that we would receive complimentary desserts. Our waitress was very pleasant and the atmosphere was great. We enjoyed our dinner. There was social distancing in place which added to the comfort of dining. Thank you for a lovely evening to the staff of La Casa Pasta!
We had a great meal served by a superb waitress, Casey. It was very enjoyable because we weren't rushed and courses were brought out at the proper times. The restaurant was pretty full to limits of COVID; there was an empty table between guests.
