Brought my parents here for brunch over the weekend and had a fantastic experience. Friendly service, great cocktails, delicious food, comfortable interior, and not too crowded. It's a bit off the beaten path but worth the trip. Looking forward to coming back for dinner.

Went here for a first date. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Sitting out on the patio was very comfortable. The food was good, although the tarte flambee was not quite the way I expected it to be, it was still tasty! The bathroom was clean and neat.

All in all, I’d come back for another meal.

Bonjour Olivier, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am happy to hear that almost everything was great, even though I believe our cook might have been a light shy with the creme fraiche, which I already have addressed the issue. I am sorry for the inconvenience and really hope to see you sometimes soon. Best regards, Damien Ps : dB Bistro is a great place :)

Overpriced, food wasn't good (steak overcooked and tough, salmon overcooked), and service was terrible.

The service was wonderful, the vibe is really low key, and the best part, my guest and I were able to sit outside so my pup could join. The waiter was extremely accommodating and brought her water to stay hydrated. The meal was lovely, we ordered a few appetizers and shared; the escargot, brussel sprouts, and walnut salad, were amazing, not to mention the apple crumble and great coffee for dessert. I can't wait to go back again.

This restaurant used to be a great place in the neighborhood.. to wait 40 plus minutes for your food is INSANE.. and the excuse we received was.. oh.. we know.. if you know.. FIX it.. I live in the neighborhood and will never come back..

We really wanted to love this place -the ambiance is nice, but way to loud. Very hard to have a conversation. I have had better Tartes d'Alsace at a little place on the upper East Side, and our server, while sweet, kind of forgot about us a lot.
Also... is serving pinot noir cold a thing? I've never had a chilled pinot noir and don't care to again. Mixed drinks were good. All in all it was just ok.

Picked this place for my boyfriend to meet the parents for the first time. The service was pretty great, though at times confusing. We had two people who seemed to be waiting our table, checking in at different points so I wasn’t sure if they knew who was really our waiter. And though that sounds great, it was very confusing when we asked a question about something on the menu and then they’d go check, or tell us something different than what we were previously told. Never mind about that, the food is really good. Mom and dad were happy with how their steaks were cooked, boyfriend loved the red snapper dish (me too!) and I enjoyed the mussels. The Brussels sprouts are perfect, tuna tartare is pretty good, but the best part was the Creme Brûlée. Drinks are just okay, I’d stick with a wine. For everything, we paid a pretty penny ($$$), but for New York it was not that bad. 9/10 would recommend.

We were greeted by a bus boy immediately upon entering, which is always welcoming. He promptly showed us to our table and offered us water. The waitress was right behind him, offering us the specials menu and explaining some of the "french" items that we didn't know what they were. Service was outstanding. Quick, friendly but not pushy. They let us sit and sip our wine for over an hour after we finished our meal, which NEVER happens in NYC. I would and will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Was curious to try this Alsatian based menu. The place is pleasant with a fireplacer and with very few customers on a Monday night, the noise level was low. Their menu is based on Spatzl (noodle dishes) and a type of flatbread. We tried one of each and found the food decent. with fresh ingrediants However, with very few customers the service was still poor. After specifically asking for no meat on my order and the waiter repeating my request, it arrived covered in bacon. Then I had to wait quite a while for a vegetarian version.

La Cigogne exceeded all of my expectations. A local restaurant that feels like a local restaurant, yet yields a Michelin quality experience. The Saturday night atmosphere was just loud enough to feel alive, yet not noisy. The quarters are cozy, but not claustrophobic. Each detail of the property is carefully designed and maintained and no doubt reflects the owners' intent to a "t". The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The fireplace is a very nice touch.
My wife had the "Spring's First Smile" cocktail and couldn't stop raving. The food was beautifully prepared and wonderfully effective. The foie gras torchon was fantastic, as were the mussels. The tuna tartare and salmon were amazing. The apple crumble topped off our meal nicely with some espresso.
This is a great, local date night destination. Reasonably priced and yet out-performing. I look forward to returning soon.

I’ve been here before and loved it. This was my second time dining and I was too pleased with the service. The server had to be asked twice to bring us water, her description of my meal was incorrect ( she stated it was lamb served with mixed veggies. I received lamb with cheese and raisins...) the table next to me was incredibly rude. I know this has nothing to do with the service but just reviewing my date here. One of the gentleman kept speaking about using the N word and how it should be allowed. They were both Caucasian, I am mixed race and was extremely uncomfortable. Overall I was not happy with this experience.

Had to wait twenty minutes for reserved table, food took a long time in coming and was inconsistent. Some good, some not so. That said, it was a Saturday and they comped a round of wine and handled it well.

One of the best places in Brooklyn for brunch with kids. They even have a selection of books for small children. Food is reliable and warming on a cold winter day. Fireplace is toasty. And the cocktails are great.

Was great because not too crowded when we went for brunch at 10am. Spacious for kids, but the food took forever to come out. We had seven people, maybe that’s why but I can’t imagine what it would have been like if it were busy. Food was pretty good I guess, not sure I’d go back with another large group.

Food was great, our server could've done better. Took a while to order food, asked numerous times for water. I believe we got the wrong bottle of wine from what we ordered. Wasn't coming around to pour the wine. I usually am easy going with service, but this experience stood out. Would go back just not with that server

Great Alsatian food, so definitely try those specialities, also great salads. The appetizers were only okay. I would only recommend eating the Alsatian food here, but the ambiance is nice for a date, and if you're just having drinks, this place is fine.

Typically I really enjoy this place, but on New Years Eve, we were seated in an odd spot off the side of the bar, and almost every drink we ordered, we needed to follow up on 1-2 times. We felt the service was really slow, and just very below average. I felt bad b/c something happened that evening, a pipe burst or something, but the poor service started before then. We like the food there, but overall the experience wasn't very good this time around, and I'm not sure if we'll go back...

Met with my two sisters for Thursday after work dinner. The night was cold and rainy. The restaurant was warm and welcoming with the fireplace going; it felt as if we were in a friend’s big warm eat-in kitchen. My sisters were late, but the staff was friendly and considerate to me until they arrived. The food was DELICIOUS. I had the Genova spazle. The green beans were fresh and crisp, the sauce flavorful and mild. The drinks were perection, none of us had room for dessert. Service was friendly and prompt. The waiter answered our questions with courtesy and consideration.
Not only will I recommend to my friends, I intend to return myself.

This is our favorite restaurant. Probably the only few out of all the French place that really does taste like French bistro type restraint around here.
Although it was so heavy that we couldn’t finish everything. Did our taste changed or it was made heavier than usual that day?

Service was horrible. The food took forever and then was cold when it arrived. We also got all of our food out of order after specifying twice what we wanted. I ended up getting my entree first (and cold) while my date’s side order of brussels sprouts arrived. Then our food was not cleared for almost an hour, my date’s entree finally arrived, empty dishes still not cleared and took up the whole table. Our appetizer to share then arrived after his entree - cold. Awkward and unpleasant

We was very looking forward to eating at La Cigogne. My husband and I had eaten there once before for brunch and thought it would be a nice place to have dinner for my birthday. The service was ok, however we had so many people serving us that we felt our food got lost between so many people. It took a long time for our food to come to our table, however we weren't in a hurry. My husband ordered onion soup and it was cold. We then had to wait for them to heat it back up and when it finally came back, the quality was poor. He also ordered mussels and they were not fresh and over-done. The quality was poor. My tuna tartare was fine, however my duck confit wasn't. It was a dried up piece of duck leg thrown on a large salad. I expected something much more delicate and moist. We live in the neighborhood and were hoping to have a quality restaurant nearby.
