The food is made from the finest, freshest, seasonal produce, with game such as wild boar, rabbit and venison.
The ‘olio extra vergine di olivia’ is perfected from the Maccioni’s own olive groves in Italy. Carciofini fritti (deep fried baby artichokes); Capelli d’angelo all’olio tartufato (angle hair egg pasta with truffle oil and parmesan); Vitello tonnato (thinly sliced veal with tuna mayonnaise) and Arista al cinghiale (roast wild boar with rosemary, garlic and olive oil) are just some of La Famiglia’s classic dishes.

It took them 40 minutes to take our order, an additional 40 minutes to bring the starters. Had to remind the waiter 3 times for the bottle we had ordered and when it came it was unusually warm. Food was salty, tables way to close together.... very very poor experience and we have been there very often but yesterday was the last time
We are returning fans of La Famiglia having visited in the 80’s! It was hectic as there was a wedding at this time however great service, amazing food!
We will be back!
Always fabulous! The food is the best Italian in London. X
Very pleasant environment but we felt we were a bit rushed. We booked for 2:30pm and arrived on time but before we were sat on the table we were told we had to order because the kitchen was closing in 10’. Two minutes later we sat at the table and another waiter said we had 5’. The starters were exquisite but mains were just ok and the desserts delicious. I have mixed feeling about this one.
Had fab evening with son and husband . Was recommended by a local friend - excellent food, wine and ambiance - family friendly - will return
Nice restaurant, good food with decent portions.
I wasn’t amazed by the restaurant.
I felt rushed - 4 courses served within an hour :-(
Fabulous- ambience, food, service , value fir money - will definitely be back
Had a lovely lunch pre Chelsea Flower Show.
The service and food were excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming.
Very good value for money.
Great ambience, delicious food and wine, plus a great setting with the outdoor tables.
One of the best in London. Food. Atmosphere. Service. Grazie
This place is so special! The warmth from the servers makes you feel like family! The food is delicious. We wanted to go back a second night, but ran out of time. Get a reservation and you’ll be very happy.
Our family favourite - returned to time and again - always the place of choice for my children's birthday dinners.
Fabulous food, staff and ambience. We just love it.
First class in every way
Terrific food and warm welcome by staff -- as always!
Food was quite good but service was spotty. Very friendly service, but the waiters just didn't stop by often.
Love La Famiglia
Great authentic Italian restaurant with delicious dishes
Wonderful food and the staff are very welcoming and lovely!
Very welcoming, lovely aspect at back of the restaurant, kind and attentive waiters, food very good. You can tell that it is run by an Italian family who do their best for you. I would think it is a mainstay for the locality, and that people frequent it regulary, it is a home from home !!
Excellent, as ever
Lots of babies. Some of them crying. Too hot. Waiters are not smiling. Like they are not happy with their working conditions. The food is not so good. Average. Still can not beat Signor Sassi or Scalinis.
What a pleasant surprise! Booked after reading online reviews and when we arrived all we could see was a nearly empty front room. But the main dining room in the back was buzzing! Fabulous service, great sense of humor, delightful food and wine. Other than tons of kids and families (well it is called La Famiglia...) we really enjoyed our experience here.
Excellent food, warm and wonderful service, lovely presentation.
always a favourite.
can’t go wrong
One of the best evenings we had in London in years! Thank you!
The restaurant was up to its usual excellent standards with a high number of diners on a Tuesday lunchtime despite the ever threatening weather conditions.
Excellent food and atmosphere
Best Italian in London (as always)
Authentic Italian restaurant - I am sure it can’t have changed much in the last 50 years and I hope it doesn’t in the next 50. Food, ambience and service excellent and price as anticipated.
Fabulous as always. Friendly, efficient , great wine list, menu straight out of Nonna's kitchen, top notch
Heaves with atmosphere, feeling of people having a thoroughly good time. Bright ambience. As a starter I have enjoyed the whitebait but the helping is so generous it fills one up before the main course. This time I took the rocket and parmesan, tasty and a better balance. I nearly always have the chicken cooked in a brick with mustard sauce. Delicious and unique. Excellent and varied wine. The Puglian wine very good value. Service warm but discreet. We shared a dessert. Three courses even with a modest starter is substantial. A great place to take visitors from abroad.
Toll und sehr lecker
Always fantastic! Love the food and the staff is welcoming, warm, and attentive.
Il cibo non è stato molto speciale, pasta stracotta e burrata non fresca
Top rate - never anything less.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful venue.
Best Italian in London.
This is a great restaurant, the food was delicious and the portions were large enough for two. The waiters were very attentive and brought out our food fast.
What a great find, a true family run restaurant, amazing service and gorgeous food. We had children and a vegetarian in our party and everyone loved it. The level of service is not something you get everywhere! Thoroughly recommend!
