La Fia is a bustling bistro by day serving a diverse menu of small plates, specialty salads and sandwiches and some select Chef Specials. In the evening, La Fia transforms into an elegant, sophisticated destination for dinner. Chef Sikora's farmstead approach to food embraces the finest products from local producers. The food culture at La Fia represents the true rustic nature of European cooking. La Fia has an eclectic menu of Italian and European influences.
From the whimsical craft cocktails, thoughtfully selected wines, and craft beers, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the bar.
La Fia never disappoints! We always enjoy sharing the best of Wilmington with our out of town guests. Thank you for reserving for us my favorite table. While the ambiance was lovely, the loud music selection did not support the environment. As always, the pasta creations were creative, and perfectly cooked.
Met a couple of our friends there , food was great !! Dessert was out of this world !! Great staff, friendly, outgoing, exceptional service !!!
Over salted, over priced, over rated
Had dinner here before going to the George Thorogood show at the Grand!!!
Dinner was amazing as usual
Great, inventive menu, well-prepared food and outstanding service. La Fia continues to be a bright spot for diners on Market Street!
Excellent service! And everything else is also wonderful. Highly recommended.
It was a pasta night for our table: agnolotti, rigatoni and squid ink tagiatelle, all perfectly prepared. Awesome way to finish out the summer. Looking forward to the fall menu!
We really enjoyed La Fia last Saturday night during restaurant week. We chose to meet friends there for dinner before going to the theater which is a short walk away.
We hadn't been in a long time and found that it was even better than we had remembered. We were surprised that the menu from Restaurant Week was interesting and delicious, which is not usually the case with restaurants during a special pricing event.
The wine list was well edited and even the bread was wonderful. We will go back for sure!
We loved La Fia. This was the first tome we visited, we visited for Restaurant Week, and were won over. The food and service were excellent. I would recommend it to anyone near Wilmington.
It was a great date night during Restaurant Week! My husband is a chef and he really enjoyed his picks of the Spanish Octopus and the Seafood Mixto. I loved my Beef Tartar and the Monkfish Tangine. Everything was so flavorful and perfectly done. We wished the wait staff could have provided a bit more description when we asked about the entrees other than “the monkfish tastes like lobster” and “the octopus is cooked in a big bowl”. Right on there....not so helpful! And the random bar brawl that broke out was actually entertaining and not a terrible detractor from the whole experience because everyone was so shocked you could tell that wasn’t the usual.
Yummy food and great portions for lunch. Went during restaurant week so it was full but service was good and fast.
So loud could barely talk
La Fia is pretentious, overpriced bistro that seems to desperately want to be both elegant and rustic. The bakery is great, but that quality does not extend to table service.
Fantastic food and service! Will definitely be going back for dinner.
Love La Fia. Was a bit surprised by the waitress; she was rolling her eyes at one of the people at our table when they were deciding what to order. I assume she was just having a bad day.
Fabulous food and service! I love how they pay so much attention to the little details. The bread is phenomenal and the rest of the dinner was great as well.
Had a small group from work for lunch during restaurant week. The menu selection was very extensive for the 2 course meal, which was great. Two of us had the calamari appetizer, which was very good. Only wished the accompanying sauce had a little more flavor, but the calamari was cooked just right. Most of us had sandwiches, which all were very good and included the excellent fries. The restaurant was full, which meant it was very noisy, which made it a little tough to talk
We had an outstanding dining experience on a recent Saturday evening. The four of us enjoyed all of the appetizers and main courses.
The Bucatini was way too salty, but the fish tangine was great! We also enjoyed the got cheese and date toast for a starter. The corn was a good side, but had cilantro in it, which I could have done without. Desserts did not interest us, so we passed. Service was very good. The decor was not to my taste- less Bitro-style and more Pottery Barn.
Food and service were wonderful, and cocktails too. I'll be back for sure and will definitely recommend to others. I've heard several friends mention that this is the best restaurant in Wilmington.
DELICIOUS FOOD, GOOD SERVICE, OVERALL A GREAT EXPERIENCE
We dine here often. Food was outstanding as always. Perhaps the best lamb chops ever! Unfortunately service and food were ridiculously slow. Took over an hour for our meal to be served. Waitress seemed annoyed when we inquired. We had to eat our meal quickly to make it to a show. About that, our waitress could not have cared less! No time for coffee nor dessert! Our reservation was an hour and forty five minutes prior to show.
Nice by the glass wine list, pasta was firm and well proportioned (not too much). Service was excellent.
The cocktails, crab dip, and turkey BLT were amazing. The pesto salad was a little bit too heavy to be anything near healthy and the shrimp was over-salted. But the service was great and the location was quaint.
I have been many times, always been pleased with the food but -- the beer list is weak, and they were out of the first two beers requested, also out of the prosecco listed! As my friend pointed out, this speaks of poor management. I hope next time we can drink as well as we ate.
Dining at LaFia was an exquisite experience from start to finish. Cheese plate starter, followed by steak, lamb, asparagus and corn/peach side. Coffee and desert. Simply a wonderful evening! Highly recommend....
We selected the Prix Fix menu for our party of 3. We purposely ordered different appetizers and entrees so that we could share. Everything was awesome. We had scallops, monk fish & blackened catfish. Everything was delicious and creatively presented. Our waitress Natasha was excellent and properly attentive to our needs. Ambiance in the restaurant was terrific. Would definitely go back.
Great food great time!
We had a wonderful experience at La Fia last night. Everything was exceptional - from the service, to the food, to the atmosphere. We will definitely dine here again.
Food and service were outstanding. The three course meal during the summer is a great option at an outstanding price, will absolutely go again!
Awesome service from Diego, good food equals a great evening. Love this place
So good we are coming back tomorrow.
Terrific. Best ribeye ever.
Our go-to restaurant in Wilmington. We go often and always enjoy it.
Service was unusually slow to disappointing on Sat 8/10 for a 5:45 reservation.
Waiter also seemed slow to react to our request for the price fix summer promotion.
Food was delicious as usual although I thought the pork cheek ravioli was salty and could have used a bit less butter.
Still one of my favorite spots
Really high quality, creative food in downtown Wilmington. Worth going out of your way to enjoy!
Great lunch with great server! I was meeting with a coach and she was perfectly attentive without being overbearing and gave us lots of space and was incredibly patient.
Date night with my wife. La FIA never disappoints. The food is always fresh and the staff is always friendly. This is our favourite place to eat in Wilmington.
