Excellent French food and service was just right. Very good selection of wines. We have been several times for lunch and dinner over the years and never disappoints.

Excellent service and lovely neighborhood gem. The food was good, but a little overpriced.

Been coming to this restaurant for many years. This was our worst experience. No set lunch menu. £2.50 per person for small amount of bread. Around £30 for main courses. Overall too expensive for the quality of food. Service very abrupt and not welcoming. Almost felt like we were an inconvenience. Won’t be coming back.

A good meal, enjoyed by all. We were asked if we would like some bread for the table. A generous quantity of bread appeared but I didn’t expect to be charged £10 for it. Apart from that, everything was fine.

Real authentic French restaurant Fabulous food and great service. All the better given it was during the festival, when generally things go downhill in Edinburgh during that period.

Fantastic French food. Great wines from Languedoc - I'm always happy to let them choose. A favourite when we are in Edinburgh.

Arrived slightly early. Was pointed to a table. After 15 mins waitress offered water. Friends then arrived and within minutes waiter appeared to take our order. After another few minutes we thought we’d better order to ease the tension with the waiter, who then proceeded Tom try to upsell a bottle of Picpoul. Cheese soufflé was v good if a little small. Toulouse sausage was ok (I had requested well done and was told firmly “No, we don’t do that”.). Friends enjoyed their food (salmon). The cheap Picpoul was very good. All in all a decent meal accompanied by nice wine and an abrupt pushy waiter, the perfect French bistro experience.
