La Patagonia
Now London has its own first barrio restaurant with a complete Argentine menu offering meats or vegetables from the grill, traditional fried empanadas ,hand made fresh pasta, delicious Argentine wine from Mendoza - its famous wine region in the foothills of the Andes as well as a selection of traditional desserts.
The food has been exceptionally and we really love the atmosphere. It’s a great price level and you get delicious and high quality food
Very good evening meal with friends. Having been several times to steak houses in Buenos Aires, I can say Patagônia feels quite authentic to me. I ordered a steak rare and I would warn you that they really do make the steak rare. I like it that way but if you don't want an almost cold centre, order your steak closer to medium. I've eaten here several times and will continue to return.
I really like this place. I have been here four times with family/boyfriend and we love entraña. It's the only place outside Argentina/Chile where I have found this cut. Staff are friendly and the house wine is good!
The food is amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant.
(The only bad thing is that there isn’t a diaper changing table in the bathroom!)
We use Patagonia frequently and overall it has been consistently good but our last several visits have been disappointing. Steak ordered medium rare came well-done and the cut was fatty and gristly, service was patchy - wine spilled on our table by the young waitress was left on the table etc. I’ve wondered if it changed hands recently? One proviso is that last few visits were on a Sunday and Monday evening which is perhaps not the best time to eat out but if you are short-staffed and relying on locum chefs on quiet nights maybe better to simply close?
Really friendly environment and good food. Certainly would visit again.
Great food, friendly and knowledgeable service. Fuss free and very enjoyable.
Always amazing! Nuff said.
Was very tasty, good solid food. Nice wine too. I would visit again
Well I wouldn’t recommend using open table to book because they didn’t even have our booking and this has happened a number of times now but they did accommodate us and everything was good
Fuimos con mi familia, estábamos de vacaciones en Londres y comimos como si estuviéramos en Buenos Aires.
Muy buenas las milanesas y el asado.
Parrillada grilled to perfection by Adrian, excellent vine (on the list even among the cheaper labels there is always the chance of finding something highly palatable).
Impeccabile friendly staff. Very clean.
Fabulous food, fabulous service - as authentic as it gets outside of the Pampas. Dined with a fussy Argentine who gives it 5-stars!
EVEN THAT THE QUALITY OF FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING IT SEEMS A LITTLE BIT EXPENSIVE
Superb food, will definitely be back! Wanted to go in for a while now but never got around to it, glad I did.
Service excellent as was the steak but only let down by the poor quality of the side dishes including the "home made fries"
Great service and food!
Popped in late but they still served us: glad they did. Lovely steaks as always
Really good food, perfectly cooked meat, reasonably priced wine all in a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely visit again!
We like a good Argentinian style steak with red wine and this restaurant is our local favourite. They also do wonderful grilled cheese and sweetbreads dishes. Haven’t tried the whole menu but there are several vegetarian choices and extensive other meat options. The food quality is excellent; our side salads were very fresh. Friendly and helpful table service.
Very good atmosphere and great service. Best meat we have had in London!
Simply the juiciest steak you’ll ever eat. Cracking good Argentinian Malbec wine to boot. Well worth a visit.
La Patagonia is always a great and authentic Argentinian Experience. It’s the place where I go to when I feel like eating food from back home. Make sure you try some Empanadas for starters and Flan con dulce de leche for dessert.
Wonderful warm authentic place, great service and great food
Great food, place wasn’t too busy when we went. Staff a polite and attentive.
If you like meat you’ll love this place. Huge tender and tasty steaks but for me spoilt by lack of green vegetables.
This is a restaurant I have wanted to visit for some time, we finally went on a Friday night and the experience was excellent. There were six of us and we had a table near to the open grill area where we could see delicious cuts of meat cooking slowly. The heat from the grill was quite intense but it was a cold night outside so I enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and accommodating, the restaurant was full and had a lively ambiance. Best of all was the food, the meat was probably better than I had anywhere in Argentina and there was plenty of it. The recommended Malbec was a very pleasant wine and went well with it. Six clean plates told the story.
No creo que sea un fiel representante del asado Argentino.
Great meats, great service. House Malbec very good too
Great welcome and atmosphere. Good to see the open grill and our food being cooked directly.
Fantastic food as always. The overall ambience feels really authentic and is great fun and also comfortable.
The service is exceptionally friendly. A great place.
Table for 4 booked for 7.30pm on a Thursday night, we arrived with a +1 and there were no issues with that. Perhaps its the barmy English summer we are having right now, but the restaurant was only half full. We have been here a few times over the years so knew what to expect. We all had steaks (2 sirloins, 1 rump and a couple of T-bones) as well as the sides. Mine was cooked to perfected, a couple in my group were expecting their rare steaks to be a little more bloody. having been here a few times before me know that Argentines like their steaks bloody, so a medium ordered ends up medium-rare and well-done is medium, a rare looks up at you and goes Moo. Perhaps it was a different chef than normal or perhaps the waiter adjusted the cook for us being Europeans. Still the food was excellent and considering the quality I think well priced (£44 per head with half of that on Alcohol, coffees, desserts). Will certainly go back there again and would definitely recommend it.
Lovely little steak restaurant, food was really good and very reasonably priced for the size of your steak, good selection of sides, all delicious. Definitely recommended
One of my favourite places to eat in London.
The food has so much flavour. My advice to anyone planning a visit here: make sure you’re hungry as the portions are big. Definitely a place for meat lovers you want to try as much of the menu every time you visit.
I was going to try the chicken for the main course then I read the description of Brocheta De Carne. It sounded so mouth watering and it tasted amazing when it arrived at the table. Cooked medium rare it was perfect with sweet potato fries!
FANTASTIC food. Most authentic Argentinean flavours I've tasted in London. Great prices as well!
Great services, great food, great night
Great food and service as usual :) this has become one of my favourite restaurants in london. Never fails!
Always outstanding!! Food and service 5*
On été 10 personnes pour un anniversaire et on a adoré.
Bien reçu, bonne ambiance, service super et la qualité de nos différents plats très bonne.
On les remercie pour la soirée et on le recommande fortement.
Went with a friend to La Patagonia before going to a concert at Koko - so at a perfect location for that. Staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Also liked the food except that the beef was overcooked - but was eating it anyway since didn't have time to wait for a new steak.
