In the evening La Raza’s varied tapas menu, inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean, is served alongside a variety of cocktails, beers and fine wines. lovely place for tapas and cocktails, good price and nice food!
Great food and varied cocktails. Staff were very friendly and prompt service. Also good background music
Wonderful service and great food!! Ollie made us some custom drinks... that were amazing! Definitely will be back.
I would reccomend the mussels, lamb or the croquettes.
We had a lovely time, and we will be returning, if only for Ruby, who was so kind and friendly!
Very friendly staff, cocktails were really good and exceptional value.
We had a brilliant evening with delicious food and wine, thank you.
Staff were very attentive ,food was lovely and great selection of drinks. I would thoroughly recommend
LA Raza had fantastic food and a great selection of drinks, with some super deals for cocktails and beers. They are set up really well for covid with perspex sheeting between tables and the atmosphere is relaxed with easy lighting. The food is the highlight and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Great place with great food. I would highly recommend it.
Nibbles/starters were ok, we had croquetas , stuffed aubergine and crispy squid. We ordered three paellas, two chicken and chorizo and one vegetarian. Big portions, for six people probably two are enough. The problem was they were not tasty at all. Bland flavour, sticky rice. If you visit stick to the tapas, the paella is not worth it.
I gave 3 stars just because the food was amazing as it usually is, I’m really disappointed to have been sat in a place outside of the restaurant. The setting of la raza is what makes it nice, except it seemed like we were in a cafe.. the door was left open so it was freezing, it felt like we were just left in there, there was a table next to us where the girl was completely drunk out of her face and was being really loud and annoying. Being stuck in this area to eat our food is what spoiled it for us. Such a shame as we usually love it here in the restaurant.
We had an amazing evening at La Raza. The service was outstanding as always. We felt very safe during these uncertain times and the staff are always extremely accomodating and very welcoming. The food was great and so were the coctails. We will be returning again very soon. Thank you
They’re working on an app system at the moment, due to Covid. However, our phones were out of signal for 4g and the WiFi wasn’t good. It took us so long to try and order anything. When first seated nothing was explained to us and we felt almost like we were putting them out. The food was yum, as were the cocktails-once we were able to order them. I think Covid is definitely effecting customer service, which is understandable, however we were on our honeymoon and was looking for something with a bit of sparkle.
We love the paella and the mussels. The serving is huge for the price. We will definitely come back here
Nice place. Good Covid setup. We took kids and wasn’t sure if it would be appropriate, it ended up being great for them.
Ordered bread that never came.
Otherwise food was good (Better than expected) and drinks were great.
Inedible food. Left it all. Tasted like dirty water. No offer for refund. Will never return.
A good menu and pleasant staff but the online ordering form was overly long with repeated questions. Ticking lots of boxes saying you dont want promotional material is tedious. And when I ordered a second drink I had to it all again. Other restaurants have a much more user friendly Covid ordering system. Also not sure how necessary the big plastic screens are - they kill the ambience; again many other places have managed this better. Was good value due to eat out scheme.
Goid Covid safety and nice having space. Veggie paella very goid.
The food was delicious and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The only down side was we ordered 2 desserts and initially they were not brought out. The waiters apologised and then 1 of them came out. We were offered a free drink as an apology but we kindly declined as we were happy to wait for the 2nd dessert. Overall it did not detract from our lovely evening and we will definitely be returning.
The food is great service is also amazing but the leather sofas are peeling and look worn and very old and the decor feels dated and dingy, it definitely needs re decorating and an update
First visit. Very pleasant space, staff and the food generally very good. They were struggling a bit with staff shortages but the waiter kept coming over keeping us informed. Will definitely go back
The food was great and the have the covid -19 actions well sorted, the app worked very well, the best one we have used so far.
The outdoor seating worked well but check the weather forecast,it is the UK after all!
Great service even though we booked last min they accommodated us with no problem.
Great food and great service, we sat outside where the tables were 1m apart. We had prawns, chorizo, beef and croquetas which were all amazing but the prawns were my fave! We will definitely return when we’re visiting Cambridge again.
Lovely setting, we sat outside. Food was delicious as were the cocktails.
Three of us went here for tapas and all the food we chose was excellent, from the sizzling prawns to the calamari, beef skewers and figs with goat's cheese. It was quiet when we first arrived at 7pm but by 8.30 it was getting more lively and loud. If you want a quiet meal I'd recommend going earlier in the evening. With Covid now, the menus are on an app which caused us a few minor problems but the staff helped out and we got one phone to work between us! Would recommend this restaurant for great food.
Food was lovely and waiter was very friendly, had to wait an hour for food but was worth it.
First time to eat out during Covid and felt quite safe. Pleased I could do ordering and payment on my phone.
Son home for thé weekend and wanted somewhere special to take him. Really enjoyed our visit thank you.
Very nice food, great service. Highly recommend the mussels.
Was an amazing night. Even in such a hard time the staff made the evening fun and delightful. The food was amazing and the recommendations on the menu was perfect for the two of us. Would highly recommend as somewhere for an intimate date or as a larger get together. Great night!
You need a smartphone! But ordering system was super efficient and effective. Really great.
Great place to eat drink chat and dance
Mix of music with something for everyone
We have been to La Raza before and loved it, I cannot tell you how disappointed we were this time. Firstly can I say that the manageress on duty was very helpful but we had a number of issues
1 When we arrived 6.00pm on a Saturday 15th we were told there were no croquetas, seriously a Tapas restaurant with no croquetas, also the majority of the food was bland and needed more seasoning especially the vegetable paella.
2 The service was attentive and pleasant but intermittent bordering on slow.
3 just felt there was a skeleton staff on and the food was prepared without much thought
I am really sorry to write this review as we have liked our previous visit but on this occasion standards have slipped quite considerably
Great cocktails, tapas and desserts. Perfect evening with my daughter celebrating my birthday.
Very disappointed that there was a very loud group of young men shouting and showing off and no one stopped them and we expected live music and there was none. The atmosphere felt very flat
Dinner was lovely and the flavors were both complex and what you would expect for Spanish cuisine - they did a great job. We did not realize there would be live music. While enjoyable it ended the conversation for our group. The music was either too loud, or the venue was too small. I wish I had realized it before selecting.
Great food really tasty and loads of it especially the paella and it was a great place to have lunch or an evening meal
Lovely meal and good service.
Food was really tasty, good value and great cocktails!
Unfortunately La Raza have bookings available on the app which are in fact after they have closed. We booked for 20:30 on a Wednesday evening and the kitchen had closed when we arrived and the front of house staff were cleaning and closing down the front too, they also couldn't find our Open Table booking.
Good to Very good tapas. Decent service. Very cold beers served in cold glasses as they should be!
