From the outset La Trompette has been showered with accolades, a reflection of the love, care and energy that is invested in the restaurant by the dedicated team behind it. La Trompette was awarded a Michelin star in 2008.
Amazing food and superb service. Table near the window a little chilly and stuck behind a post which limits the view of the restaurant. Still a fabulous evening.
Delicious food in a relaxed yet elegant dining room
Nice staff, excellent food but small portions for that price
Always reliable - great food and service. The table next to us was loud and we were moved without fuss as soon as I asked.
Food was amazing as always. Just a little slow to serve us after our starter ...we waited about 20 minutes between those two courses, but that was the only niggle. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great service and great food!
Always an enjoyable experience here - attentive staff and delicious food. Great place especially for a special occasion.
Very good lunch tasting menu!!
Sunday night wine corkage free was brilliant. Good chance to open a nice bottle you have with really good food. Food was good as always especially the soufflé was dreamy.
Lovely restaurant, and not bad value for a Michelin star. The service was exceptional - very attentive, but not overbearing.
Outstandingly pleasant service, plus unusually interesting menu, as usual.
Absolutely delicious food and beautifully paired wines. Such interesting flavours. Amazing service as always, thanks for such a special evening.
The food is just about always perfect and it didn't disappoint this time. I don't eat meat but the fish (squid) was delicious. I noticed the large number of waiting staff on duty which explains their attentiveness. The pricing is reasonable for a Michelin star, which is deserved in my opinion.
Delicious food, friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended for lunch.
This was my 3rd visit and just as good as the previous 2.
Very nice as usual. Certainly one of the best in the area.
Happy to recommend
Fantastic meal at La Trompette on our anniversary. Food was superb and service exemplary as usual.
My wife and I have been eating at La Trompette for about 15 years, I have never had a bad meal or experience, La Trompette never fails to deliver. Food is delicious and the staff are friendly and knowledgable.
Back after 7 years, did not disappoint. Exquisite food with top notch service.
Having visited over 20 one star restaurants and six 2 star restaurants I would recommend thoroughly.
In my opinion the best one star restaurant in London. Only surprise is that it has not got its second star yet.
Overall very nice experience, from my point of view service quiet slow but outstanding.
We were seated in a corner by the kitchens and told it was a great seat as you got your wine topped up all the time - we didn't, at all. We both ordered the crab starter which was an additional £5.50 each. When the starter turned up I was surprised to find that salad could cost so much. There was barely any crab, so we felt it was a real cheek to charge an extra fiver for essentially some pea shoots. The mains were okay, but dessert was again disappointing. I ordered the blackberry millefeuille and not to go too Mary Berry on it, but there wasn't much lamination - certainly not a thousand layers! Also the blackberries were rock hard. This was a real disappointment, my husband and I have two young children and so date nights are rare and unfortunately this restaurant did not live up to expectation.
This is the third time we have dinner at La Trompette and we have never been disappointed in anyway, the cuisine and service are always perfect. We are aware that La Trompette is an expensive restaurant however this time we thought that the prices had gone much higher than expected. A dinner at £90 per head is a lot of money for a cuisine that is good but not outstanding.
This is a good quality restaurant but the cost of a meal there is truly overrated. Dining in a good restaurant should still remain affordable and reflect the true value of the cuisine.
It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Service is excellent as is the food. Next level professionalism round the corner from home!
We couldn't get a booking at a favorite Michelin 2* for a significant birthday celebration but were lucky enough to get a table here and really enjoyed the evening. Delicate portions packed a huge flavour punch enhanced by the wines. What a treat to travel a couple of tube stops to a place of this calibre.
Excellent cuisine and efficient and discreet service. Highly recommend.
Really great meal, reasonably priced for a three course French menu and service was just excellent. There was a small mix up with our order, and to make up for it we got a complimentary extra course and two glasses of wine, they really went above and beyond. Recommend the venison and the pork, they were fantastic!
I've eaten in La Trompette before and the food was amazing!! Though the waiter kept filling out glasses and we unintentionally became drunk. Overall very good.
This time the main course was salty and slightly burnt and did not taste good. They didn't charge me for it but I didn't think the food was outstanding overall.
Plus the waiters kept coming over to try and take our order, a bit too pushy for me. I'm in no hurry to return.
The food and service were both fantastic, however our table was far too close to the table next door. We could hear their conversation more clearly than our own. Extremely off putting. That said, the gaps between most of the other tables seemed okay, so I think we were unlucky.
Not been for a couple of years but it was excellent. Way above average food with all 3 courses extremely good.
I have been to a number of Michelin starred restaurants around the world but La Trompette is my favourite. The food is always great and there is no airs and graces. Service is honest and fantastic selection of wines.
This was my fourth visit to la Trompette, bringing along friends from the Netherlands and we were all very impressed with the quality of the food and the service
We had a really wonderful evening and I will surely be back!
La Trompette never disappoints. We had a wonderful night celebrating a birthday, thoroughly enjoying the tasting menu and accompanying wines. Food was excellent and the menu really thoughtfully put together and contained some interesting surprises. We also really appreciated the introductions to the various wines, which gave just the right level of information. Service was friendly and impeccable.
I am a regular client at this restaurant and have always enjoyed my meals there. On this occasion, the service was poor at best. I had to call over he sommelier to order pre supper drinks after waiting a good half hour with no service. The waiting staff were inexperienced and served up the incorrect bread despite asking three times which one we wanted. Although the food was delicious, the evening was unmemorable.
Always good. Always a reliable venue for a business dinner.
Great evening to be sitting outside. The service has always been great. This is the best restaurant in Chiswick. The reason why it has 4 out 5 was that the wait for unusually long between first and main. The main was good but usually they are exceptional. Regardless I will go back.
Everything about La Trompette was superior. The food and service were amazing. The personal service, friendliness and professionalism was fop notch
Service initially rather poor. When I complained they really sorted it out and made up for a bad first 30 mins.
Food was excellent - the cheese plate was superb
Excellent service, food and ambiance. It deserves the Michelin star and more. Staff went the extra mile in meeting a late request for a birthday ‘cake’ - all done discretely and with good taste.
