La Trompette is owned by Nigel Platts-Martin and Bruce Poole, the partnership behind Chez Bruce in Wandsworth and The Glasshouse in Kew. It therefore serves some of the best food in London but without the formality or prices associated with the capital's top end establishments. The comfortable and stylish dining room is a vibrant, busy and friendly place to be with service that is highly professional yet relaxed and informal.

From the outset La Trompette has been showered with accolades, a reflection of the love, care and energy that is invested in the restaurant by the dedicated team behind it. La Trompette was awarded a Michelin star in 2008.

Excellent. Superb service and one of the best meals I have had anywhere. I would also single out the Sommelier whose advice on the wine was spot on and really enhanced our dining experience. I would recommend La Trompette for any occasion.

We are regulars and this wasn’t our best meal there
We booked the table for 7pm and already had the main course by 720pm and no sooner had we finished that and we were asked about dessert
The food was great but didn’t appreciate being hurried

We have been here many times. As it was my birthday we went there again. The place was packed as usual for a weekday. The wine list is large with good choice but expensive.
The food was exceptional as usual n our starters was fantastic. Mains was good n the desserts were also great. Would recommend the place as parking is available, but an expensive one. Well worth for special occasions or for gourmets

Having dined at the Glasshouse on many occasions and we had always meant to try its sister restaurant
in Chiswick. We were not disappointed. My starter , the raw guilt head bream , as Michael Winner would say was 'Historic'. Everything else was great too and a nice little birthday chocolate truffle at the end. They know what they are doing and they do it well.

Another lovely meal. This restaurant is a local favourite of mine and doesn't disappoint. Lovely food in a civilised, yet informal setting. The monkfish and barbecued octopus was the stand out dish for me.

Such a brilliant "neighbourhood" restaurant - not sure why that always seems to suggest something less than the West End, because La Trompette is superb on many different levels. The food is original and very, very good. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive and the ambiance is just the right side of open, warm formality,

A lovely lunch having not been for some years. Very relaxed atmosphere. The plate of cheese to share was quite stingy and Chez Bruce do this better.

Overall a lovely place to catch up with friends for lunch.

Another excellent meal at this exceptional restaurant. Terrific service (there was one minor slip-up that was dealt with very quickly and without fuss), extensive wine list which the sommelier guided us through and, as always very special food - the Velouté was wonderful. Thank you for a special afternoon.

We were out to celebrate my birthday and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the tasting menu with matching wines and were pleased with both the food and the wines which were perfectly selected to compliment the dishes.
The only slight complaint that I had was that there didn't seem to be particularly good co-ordination between the waiters and the bar staff we had to wait for our matched wines to appear for the first 2 courses while the food had been served and then for the next 2 we had our wine well in advance of our food. For a restaurant like this where I have had exceptional service in the past it was a bit of a shame.
That being said I will definitely return and am sure that this was just an oversight on their part this one evening.

My friend and I visited La Trompette for the first time recently. It was superb. We tried the taster menu with accompanying wines and it was truly delicious. The meal was seasonal, beautifully presented and not heavy. The barbecued shortrib and croustillant of beef, with hen of the woods and roasting juices was outstanding, as was the English gooseberry souffle. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. It was a very memorable experience. It is definitly on our list of favourite restaurants.

It had been a while since I had visited and the service and food were exceptional as I remembered. The advice for picking the wine was very useful and practical as well as unintimidating! The starters of the cucumber soup with eel/mackerel muffin and the ravioli were delicious and different taste experience, whilst the lamb presented three different ways was excellent quality. We will be back soon!

La Trompette lived up to and beyond expectations! Fine dining with the service and ambience to match. We chose the wine tasting menu and were treated to dishes to satisfy every palate! I was torn between the short rib, the scallop or the turbot as my favourites! Always a great cuisine predicament to be in when you cannot choose your favourite! Don’t just take my word for it, book yourself a table and treat yourself!

I was looking for a venue for lunch in Chiswick, a birthday celebration that wouldn’t disappoint my other half. I booked a table at La Trompette and we left very happy by the whole experience. The food and drink were exemplary, and the staff knowledgeable and only too happy to help. The perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. Can’t wait to visit again. A great place tucked away from it all.
