From the outset La Trompette has been showered with accolades, a reflection of the love, care and energy that is invested in the restaurant by the dedicated team behind it. La Trompette was awarded a Michelin star in 2008.

Such a treat and well worth the drive. We had a fabulous meal - and great service
Always good and depending on the menu sometimes better than others. You can't really go wrong here.
Nice place the foog is great and the tasting menu is good value for money. Impressive wine list, wines are a bit expensive
always a treat (which at these prices, it must remain treat only, alas) loos looking a bit tired now with poor quality hand wash/ hand cream but cooking and service top notch, as ever
Overall an absolutely fantastic meal. I have eaten in many restaurants in London and all round the World (New York, Tokyo, San Francisco, Paris, Amsterdam, Sydney etc) and can say without any hesitation that La Trompette is one of the very, very best.
The food is delicious; lovely starters, brilliantly cooked mains and gorgeous puddings/sweets
And a great atmosphere.
Some inspired cooking but service functional only. This was my first visit to La Trompette, chosen to celebrate both my friend’s and my birthday in style. Based on reviews and a Michelin star I had high expectations. My first course with raw bream was beautifully refreshing with sharp citrus flavors and an icy crunch. The ravioli with morels and pecorino was delicious but slightly overwhelmed by too many raisins. The cocktails were too slow to arrive and my Mohito was too bitter. Service was otherwise efficient, even over efficient, it needed more of a personal touch. Room is large and proximics good. Would try La Trompette again but not without slight reservations.
My partner and myself came here as a birthday treat for ourselves, could not fault the service, very attentive but not overly fussy. There was a great choice of wines for every budget, as for the food, well we both have eat at many fine dining restaurants, but considering it holds one Michelin star, the food was at best average, even just ok. We both left thinking the food was a let down
As always the food is delicious and service excellent. My only complaint is there is little (? No) wine under £30 and for a friends lunch it does make it feel quite pricey - even for such a high quality restaurant
Pricy and worth it for very special occasion
Special complementary birthday candle to celebrate. Nice touch Merci
Great food and service and atmosphere
Overall very pleasant; inconvenient flies around during all dinner is a minus. The restaurant has to take care of that urgently.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Food was Outstanding, we had the tasting menu. Accompanying wine flight was good.
It was very good but not 'outstanding' or particularly memorable. We ordered from the à la carte menu. Everything was very tasty, but nothing blew me away. I have been here before and have previously enjoyed it more. However it was a Friday night and very busy, so service was slow. However the staff were all good, very polite and friendly which was nice. The wine list is extensive, but very expensive. I would come again but not for a good while and perhaps not on a Friday.
Outstanding food and service! I have celebrated my partner's birthday and they prepared a mini dessert with a candle on top, so sweet! The food was delicious!
We had an excellent meal for my wife’s birthday. The appetisers sea bream sushi and Cornish squid were amazing and suckling pig and lamb outstanding. Good wines as well. Sometimes we had to ensure our wine was topped up so that would be only comment
Overall loved it
Excellent food and service. Lovely staff go out of their way to make every visit special. Highly recommend.
Fabulous lunch. The food was wonderful (as usual), with inspired combinations of flavours, fine quality ingredients. My turbot with mussels was superb). Very good wine suggestions from the sommelier and lovely, friendly but unobtrusive service.
Food was excellent as usual . Booked through open table and stated that it was my daughters Birthday on line which unfortunately was not registered as no mention or or Happy birthday plate arrived .
Excellent. Superb service and one of the best meals I have had anywhere. I would also single out the Sommelier whose advice on the wine was spot on and really enhanced our dining experience. I would recommend La Trompette for any occasion.
Fantastic restaurant. Amazing food and wine. Good service.
We are regulars and this wasn’t our best meal there
We booked the table for 7pm and already had the main course by 720pm and no sooner had we finished that and we were asked about dessert
The food was great but didn’t appreciate being hurried
We have been here many times. As it was my birthday we went there again. The place was packed as usual for a weekday. The wine list is large with good choice but expensive.
The food was exceptional as usual n our starters was fantastic. Mains was good n the desserts were also great. Would recommend the place as parking is available, but an expensive one. Well worth for special occasions or for gourmets
Having dined at the Glasshouse on many occasions and we had always meant to try its sister restaurant
in Chiswick. We were not disappointed. My starter , the raw guilt head bream , as Michael Winner would say was 'Historic'. Everything else was great too and a nice little birthday chocolate truffle at the end. They know what they are doing and they do it well.
Another wonderful evening at our favourite restaurant
1st class food. Had the tasting menu with matched wines.
Perfect combination of food that makes you think and food you want to eat and enjoy!
Yeah it's expensive but worth it for special occasions and a special experience
Another lovely meal. This restaurant is a local favourite of mine and doesn't disappoint. Lovely food in a civilised, yet informal setting. The monkfish and barbecued octopus was the stand out dish for me.
A truly exceptional lunch, we had the tasting menu with wines and will definitely go back.
The food was excellent and the service was absolutely amazing. The sommelier was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Overall staff was great.
It was so lovely .worth every penny .food fab
Service and staff brill
Wonderful food and service. Can’t wait to go back.
Such a brilliant "neighbourhood" restaurant - not sure why that always seems to suggest something less than the West End, because La Trompette is superb on many different levels. The food is original and very, very good. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive and the ambiance is just the right side of open, warm formality,
A lovely lunch having not been for some years. Very relaxed atmosphere. The plate of cheese to share was quite stingy and Chez Bruce do this better.
Overall a lovely place to catch up with friends for lunch.
Wonderful food, incredible service, knowledgeable staff!
Our first experience here, excellent food taking account of the summer fruits and vegetables. My gooseberry gin cocktail was lovely. Service impeccable.
Another excellent meal at this exceptional restaurant. Terrific service (there was one minor slip-up that was dealt with very quickly and without fuss), extensive wine list which the sommelier guided us through and, as always very special food - the Velouté was wonderful. Thank you for a special afternoon.
The best food I have had in a long time. The tasting menu is definitely worth a try. Expensive but well worth it
We were out to celebrate my birthday and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the tasting menu with matching wines and were pleased with both the food and the wines which were perfectly selected to compliment the dishes.
The only slight complaint that I had was that there didn't seem to be particularly good co-ordination between the waiters and the bar staff we had to wait for our matched wines to appear for the first 2 courses while the food had been served and then for the next 2 we had our wine well in advance of our food. For a restaurant like this where I have had exceptional service in the past it was a bit of a shame.
That being said I will definitely return and am sure that this was just an oversight on their part this one evening.
Food very tasty, friendly staff and ambience very good!
Great service and food. Love the trumpet
3 out 4 meals were excellent
The 4th was ruined by poor quality lamb
