From the outset La Trompette has been showered with accolades, a reflection of the love, care and energy that is invested in the restaurant by the dedicated team behind it. La Trompette was awarded a Michelin star in 2008.
Brilliant food, wine and service. My favourite restaurant.
Still one of my favorite places in London. Great food, laid back atmosphere, fair pricing, a decent wine list and very friendly service.
Fantastic dining experience as ever
Such a good lunch at a reasonable price - the food at La Trompette was pretty faultless - there was a root vegetable puree I really didn't like on one of the dishes, but that's down to personal taste really. Other than that top class cooknig. It did take a full two hours for a 3 course lunch, so be prepared for a longer than usual wait between courses and come prepared. It's worth it though - the dining room is comfortable and the staff pleasant, so it's an easy place to while away a couple of hours.
Brilliant service Christina was an awesome person
Food wine and atmosphere were top notch
Couldn’t fault a thing
Delicious food, great service, very nice surroundings !! What’s no to like
been a few times now and has never failed to impress. great food, great atmosphere and overall great value.
Excellent food, nice atmosphere and service. We felt as a really important guests even though we've been there at a really busy time. It was interesting to watch how organised they are serving to a party next to us while we were waiting for our food. Place to go to
Absolutely first class from beginning to end. Excellent, attentive, knowledgeable service. Food delicious. Strongly recommend
Incredible food. Wonderful restaurant. Would highly recommend it to foodies!
Great expectations unfulfilled. Poor choice of wines (by the glass) on the part of the Sommelier. Food short of the mark with respect to taste and preparation. A curious "four cornered" leak veloute tasted more like a home made parsley soup. A suckling pig was accompanied by a dreadful roasted cabbage chunk-on trend but please note chefs-this is an abomination.
On reflection, a nice restaurant but not worth the hype.
A lovely meal. Relaxed and no pressure on the table time - although we had been warned of a 2.25 hr limit we were there for 3 hours + with no pressure. Sommelier was helpful and informative. All the food was good but the duck stood out. The cheese course was absolutely superb and an experience in its own right from the detailed explanations of the board onwards. We are used to a smaller more intimate restaurant: La Trompette is larger and so was a little more lively and less intimate but there was no loss of attention from the staff and the experience overall was superb.
A marvellous experience as always
Fantastic evening for a special night to celebrate my partner’s birthday. We couldn’t fault the food and service and will definitely be back for another special occasion.
The food is stunning and extremely tasty and service and ambiance is really great too.
Incredible value for money for the quality of food and service delivered. A varied menu and extensive wine list, well worth a visit!
Probably one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Excellent wine recommendations as well.
Perfect all round experience.
La Trompette remains the finest restaurant in Chiswick. There is little else to say.
I would have given a full 5 star rating , but my Deseret was a tad disappointing. Starter-warm salad of artichoke & coppa con collo was delicious
Main-Honey glazed duck was cooked to perfection and all the components of the dish worked perfectly.
Sadly the Rhubarb and vanilla Mille feuille was a tad bland. The pastry needed to be lighter and the cream needed to be a heavier creme patisserie with more evident vanilla. The real disappointment though was the scant use of rhubarb which was more of a garnish that the star ingredient it should have been.
Perhaps if the other dishes hadn’t of been so stellar my dessert wouldn’t have felt like such a let down.
I almost forgot, an absolutely banging cheeseboard with the world’s best oatcakes.
It’s not cheap, but it was worth it. I will return again.
Ps the men’s toilets are a bit..... cosy.
Fantastic food and excellent service as ever . A lovely treat
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch on Sunday, the food was amazing, the staff friendly and efficient. Just a very small gripe, we had to ask for a refill of our white wine while eating our starter. This was quickly rectified. Much prefer it to your sister restaurant, The Glasshouse. We will return.
As always the food is delicious, the service is good and the ambience is great!
We enjoyed the relaxed but quite opulent surroundings of La Trompette. Service was efficient but not overbearing. People were tidy and smart but we did not feel intimidated as we have been in some restaurants, by an oppressive dress code. This was the second time we have eaten there, and were looking forward to it as it was a celebration meal.
We went for the tasting menu and the bill for two, with one of us drinking the set wines and one drinking water, came to £240. We found the food interesting rather than delicious, and wished we had eaten from the (cheaper) set menu. We do not eat red meat, so the entire menu was fish, seafood, or plants. Citrus figured prominently in the starters, main course and the pre-dessert, as did foams. There was a sameness to the starters and (small) main course. The best dish was Bramley apple souffle. The set menu offers varied dishes and might have provided a more varied tasting experience.
As it was a birthday celebration, it was nice to have a small muffin and candle served on a decorated plate
The sommelier provided entertaining and interesting perspectives on the tasting selection wines that accompanied the meal - quite a cabaret!
Overall we felt it was a bit disappointing and a lot of money for the experience.
Beautiful restaurant. Impeccable service. Fantastic sommelier.
Wonderful food relaxed yet excellent service. Love this restaurant.
La Trompette is becoming a regular port of call for our anniversary and again all was as expected, superb. A wonderful chance to experience a quality menu that is well prepared and presented as part of an excellent service. I‘ve no doubt we‘ll experience it again before our next anniversary.
Great restaurant to celebrate a special moment ! !!
Always delightful. Never disappoints. Food, service and ambience lovely. So lucky to have this restaurant in Chiswick
Absolutely stunning food and wine. A lovely smart yet laid back restaurant
Food and Servers were superb, there was nothing to fault.
I felt that the quality of the food did not match the prices being charged
The noise levels were high which did not facilitate easy communication
The draughty doorway requires a curtain to ensure the customers are not affected every time the door opens
Having eaten there a number of times in the past I felt the quality has dipped but not the prices being charged
Not to be recommended
We had an amazing experience for my partners birthday. Friendly, unpretentious atmosphere, delicious food - hard to choose as all options were so tempting. Beautifully presented, swift service without feeling rushed. Engaged and happy staff.
Definitely will be back and would highly recommend
Always excellent. Had the tasting menu this time with wine pairings. Pricey but excellent. One of the best deserts we’ve had, apple soufflé.
This is a very nice one star Michelin in a friendly neighborhood , the food is really delicious, but what impressed me the most was the wine pairing, truly inventive and perfectly complementing the food. Price are decent for the quality.
Staff is quiet nice a touch clumsy, but nothing bad..
I tried the Turbo and my daughter has the skate and it was way better.
Food good, nice wine list. Wines overpriced. Need to look at competitors who offer equally good and possibly somewhat better food for a more competitive menu price.
Staff efficient and friendly. Overall, a worthwhile eating experience.
Great meal and lovely service.
The gilt head bream starter was delicious (although I query the frozen wasabi - best leave this off).
Roast suckling pig also very tasty,
I very much enjoyed the Bramley apple soufflé, hot and creamy a real tour de force
Thanks to the team - a great evening
Delicious food and friendly staff. Lovely experience.
I really enjoyed everything i ate and drank. So for me a perfect meal.
Comes in the excellent category. Lunch.
