From the outset La Trompette has been showered with accolades, a reflection of the love, care and energy that is invested in the restaurant by the dedicated team behind it. La Trompette was awarded a Michelin star in 2008.
Lovely meal throughout. Food was of a very high standard, service was excellent. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent service and food. A bit loud as the tables are very close to each other.
Loved it attentive service and delicious food
Attentive service, tasty and well presented food, relaxing but sophisticated ambience
Tasting menu was sublime.
We had the perfect sunday night at La Trompette and will definately come back. The food is fantastic and the staff very nice. If I would have to complain about something it would be that the waiters didn't really explain the food good enough and not everyone was aware of my partners nut allergy (we mentioned it when booking the table so I would have expected them to know about), our red wine was also a little bit too cold for ou4 taste. Overall it was a great experience though!
Excellent value for what you get and the food quality was superb. My only criticism is that while some of the staff were fabulous, some were a little gruff and awkward.
it's expensive. but it's worth it............!!!!!
Unbelievable service and amazing food. People sitting next to me were very loud and a bit rude. Other than that it was amazing. Thank you
La Trompette deserves its Michelin star.
Lovely evening. The staff where very thoughtful and attentive. Food was delicious.
Another fabulous meal at one of our favourite restaurants. It’s a bit pricey but well worth it.
This has been the worst Michelin star I have ever been. Food was far from been amazing, just an average French restaurant, expensive, boring atmosphere, nothing exciting about the experience. We had to wait 30 minutes on "the bar" (where all empty glasses were being dropped), we had to wait 30 minutes between dishes at 11pm on a Friday, none of the food really got us impressed.
Amazing food. One of the best meals I had in a long time.
Excellent food and wine
Not worth the money. Food took too long to come out, wine list overly long and too expensive on the whole.
Great food. Restaurant not happy to have a small baby, sat us away from the main dining area facing into kitchen door and staff service area (despite restaurant being empty on arrival and just under half full when we left). Were told on arrival the ‘policy is no children’.
Nice ambience, the staff is amazing, made us feel very comfortable and were very accomodating and the food is just delicious!
Made a great choice for a 10 year anniversary!!
An excellent meal all round. All four of us loved all of the food and the wine was superb. The manager gave great advice about the wine had chosen with a detailed description of the taste and its suitability to pair with the main course of deer
All in a wonderful experience
Great experience ! Thanks !
Everything about our experience at La Trompette was incredible. Well crafted imaginative dishes and flavour combinations and each dish (we tried a lot!) was delicious. Well deserving of its accolades and definitely worth visiting again. Recommended. Especially the incredible desserts!!
Lovely as always.
Very good one.
Another superb meal at the best restaurant in West London.
The hand-rolled fettuccini with white truffle was absolutely sensational...
The duck was moist, tender and ravishing...
Never disappoints a regular choice for us if we want a treat. The food is totally delicious & the service most attentive. Great wine list a local gem.
Staff are outstanding. Patra has a wonderful team around her, ably assisted by Matteo who was a lifesaver salvaging the rest of our meal after 2 inedible pickled starters. Aleksandros helped select a wonderful wine from Santorini which along with the cocktails of the day, were the stars of the evening. Alessandro really made us feel very welcome, too. Thank you, all. Unfortunately, for us, the food just was not up to scratch. The restaurant had had a huge day before we sat down for the late seating service and whilst the service out front was impeccable, the kitchen lagged behind. Which was a real shame. The pickling on both starters ( beets and cuttlefish) was the worst we have ever experienced and sadly had to send it back.
It ruined things for us, food wise for the rest of the set 3 course menu. Main course was lovely (2 halibuts) which said the kitchen can get it oh so right as well as oh so wrong, hit and miss really. The fish was most definitely a hit. The restaurant was packed to capacity and was very noisy. There was no music played.
Overall, we would come back if there was an a la carte to just have the fish and enjoy the Greek wine again. But we would pass on the set menu. Thanks again to the whole team front of house.
La Trompette seems to get better every time I go. Excellent food with service to match. Not just a great neighbourhood restaurant but up there with the best in London. A real treat...
We do reccomend this restaurant! The food is amazing!
Gorgeous and delicious food, outstanding presentation, fantastic bread (a bit on the burnt side this time round), excellent wine!
We always love to come here for special occasions. It has the best food in Chiswick hands down. And great staff too!
La Trompette’s food is consistently amazing. The service is fantastic and the staff are friendly. It’s quiet so best for a small group.
Such a treat and well worth the drive. We had a fabulous meal - and great service
Always good and depending on the menu sometimes better than others. You can't really go wrong here.
Nice place the foog is great and the tasting menu is good value for money. Impressive wine list, wines are a bit expensive
always a treat (which at these prices, it must remain treat only, alas) loos looking a bit tired now with poor quality hand wash/ hand cream but cooking and service top notch, as ever
Overall an absolutely fantastic meal. I have eaten in many restaurants in London and all round the World (New York, Tokyo, San Francisco, Paris, Amsterdam, Sydney etc) and can say without any hesitation that La Trompette is one of the very, very best.
The food is delicious; lovely starters, brilliantly cooked mains and gorgeous puddings/sweets
And a great atmosphere.
Some inspired cooking but service functional only. This was my first visit to La Trompette, chosen to celebrate both my friend’s and my birthday in style. Based on reviews and a Michelin star I had high expectations. My first course with raw bream was beautifully refreshing with sharp citrus flavors and an icy crunch. The ravioli with morels and pecorino was delicious but slightly overwhelmed by too many raisins. The cocktails were too slow to arrive and my Mohito was too bitter. Service was otherwise efficient, even over efficient, it needed more of a personal touch. Room is large and proximics good. Would try La Trompette again but not without slight reservations.
My partner and myself came here as a birthday treat for ourselves, could not fault the service, very attentive but not overly fussy. There was a great choice of wines for every budget, as for the food, well we both have eat at many fine dining restaurants, but considering it holds one Michelin star, the food was at best average, even just ok. We both left thinking the food was a let down
