Excellent! Everything delicious and served pleasantly.
Wonderful menu and wine list, all items were ordered were fabulous, the service was very efficient but not particularly warm, the anniversary card on the table was a great touch, we’ll be back!
My wife and I went here for a date. It is a classic quality Italia restaurant. Great service and wonderful specials. It is and has been a locals favorite for decades.
The service and food were exceptional. Of course, the restaurant was half-empty because of the coronavirus. But despite that the evening was superb.
Outstanding, as always - Landinis is second to none in the DC/VA metro area when it comes to service, quality ingredients and cooking. Always a pleasure to visit.
Visited recently for dinner and a lunch. Had gnocchi, clam chowder, husband had salmon dish which was intricately prepared with ricotta, pinenuts, etc. over risotto.
Exceptional as always. I had out of town guests who are still raving about.
I am always pleased by this delightful restaurant. Great ambiance, excellent service, and reasonable prices!
Agnolotti was wonderful. Everything else was ordinary. Service was friendly but we both felt rushed. Noise level was very high!! Overall, wouldn’t go back.
We had a very nice meal...fresh tasting Mediterranean sauce, with olives, over tender chicken.
Large portion sizes so we had leftovers too. A neighborhood favorite. I loved the Chianti Classico I had.
I’m trying to order some today.
Fantastic Italian food. Servers know their menus and service was great.
Food is ALWAYS superb and the whole atmosphere terrific. Every time I go there, I wonder why I go anywhere else to eat!
The service was great. The hostess very welcoming and server was great and very knowledgeable about the menu .
My boyfriend and I met friends for dinner on a Saturday night. The food was SO good, honestly one of the best meals I've had in Alexandria. I got the filet with truffle butter, YUM, I'm still dreaming about it. They always have really great specials as well and the service is top-notch. Will absolutely be returning!
My first review. TJ was by far the best waiter I have had in years. The food was perfect. I would eat that risotto every day if I could. Fish was cooked perfectly!!! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
Amazing food and service. Pricey, but worth it. We celebrated my birthday and they had confetti on my table with a handwritten note! It was so sweet.
Always a great meal and service at this neighborhood gem. House made spinach ravioli is fantastic, very rich and creamy.
We really enjoyed our time at Landini Brothers. The service was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their food with the exception of my husband. He ordered the lamb and it was WAY too salty. I loved salty/seasoned food and even I thought that it was far too salty. Almost to the point that it was hard to enjoy. Everything else was fantastic, so we were disappointed that his food was not good.
Fabulous food and impeccable service. I erroneously ordered something off the dinner menu and the restaurant could not have been more accommodating. Hands down, the best piece of salmon that I've ever had. Thanks!
Veal chop was fantastic, grilled calamari was just ok. Great place for business and in general. Staff is very nice.
As always.... a great meal! Alfredo was a fantastic server and took extraordinary care of us. Landini has the best servers! Our food was wonderful. We were 7 and enjoyed a wide variety from the menu and all were satisfied. Landini never disappoints!
Got seated immediately upon entering. Table placements provided comfortable room between different dining parties. Wait staff was attentive, but not overbearing.
On the down side, it was quite dark at the table — could have used a candle or two. Had to use cell phone light to read menu. Food was eaten in semi darkness.
Also, had brought a bottle of wine and was prepared to pay corking fee. Found that BYO not allowed. Did, however, have an excellent bottle of wine off the wine list.
We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary, and we got handwritten cards for both occasions! Above and beyond!
Excellent as always
From the food to the service to the price. Really enjoyed the rustic feel of the restaurant and how true to the roots the style of cooking is. I’ve spent 3x as much as other Italian restaurants all over the area and none of them compared to Landini Brothers.
Love Landinis, but the night we went, there was a large group of very LOUD men, and we couldn’t hear each other across the table. Other than that, it was great as always!
Jersey/NYC Italian without the trip! Great food and atmosphere. Gotta love Old Town!!!
I have been here before and come back, because the food is good. Most recent visit was a few days ago on a Wed eve. Our area was crowded and there was only one waiter. It took over 10min for him to take our initial order. My dish ended-up being given to the person across the table from me and when I realized this, we both had started on a couple of bites (disappointing). The low score is related to poor service, not the food.
Amazing food and service. Perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. Highly recommend to everyone.
The food is amazing - every person was happy with every dish ordered. Also, I must have indicated we were celebrating a birthday when I made the reservation, and they had decorated our table. However, the service was slow. I had to call our waiter over twice. We were there probably 15-20 minutes before we even got to ask about wine. Ended up ordering wine with our meals. I don't know if the more regular customers get better service or if this is how it goes.
We were super disappointed in our meals and the pricing. A $55.00 steak should not be accompanied by fries and undercooked broccoli. We ordered sides for the table to share that were never delivered even though we asked twice. We left hungry after paying nearly $150 for two people. The others at our table were in agreement. All disappointed in their meals and pairings. Never again.
Terrible service and needed to get several managers attention just to get our food after a 2 hour wait.
My husband and I go to Landini Brothers on a regular basis and have never had anything but great food and service. Their staff is very knowledgeable, the menu selection is extraordinary. The last two times we were there I had their Lobster Salad Plate with Lump Crab meet, fresh avocado and asparagus, which was exceptional. My husband had the spinach and cheese stuffed ravioli which was also delicious. But the “piece de resistance” was the Oysters Rockefeller appetizer. The oysters were superb. The best I have ever had. Thank you for an enjoyable dining experience.
I ordered the lobster pasta, my lobster was overcooked and tough. Considering its a $47 pasta dish I expected much better quality. Our margheritas were not good. The veal tortellini had no flavor and the texture was not right. We asked for lemons to go with our tuna tartare appetizers and it took almost 10 minutes to get them. The tuna tartare was just mushy flavorless gobs of fish. Every single dish deserved to be sent back. The service was slow and the waiter checked on us only once after our entrees arrived. This place is overpriced, your much better off going next door to Il Porto.
Excellent food, service, and décor. Had a wonderful valentines' day with my SO.
My girlfriend and I went for Valentine’s Day. I saved up to make sure we could have a good time. The food was spectacular, but the service was terrible. I get it, it’s a busy night, we are in our late 20s so he probably thought we weren’t going to tip, and so on. However, our waiter was condescending, unhelpful, and ignored us pretty much the whole time. Some of his comments made me think of walking out. I still tipped him 20%, but I will never go back because he took so much away from what was supposed to be a special and romantic evening.
We loved it !!
We went for Valentine’s Day and overall really enjoyed the meal. We stayed for almost 3 hours and never felt rushed which was great. They definitely jacked up the prices for the holiday by ~$10 but that’s expected. Only downfall was it was pretty cold upstairs but other than that the ambience was great
Went here for Valentine's Day dinner and was very excited by the menu options online. Unfortunately, they limited the menu for Valentine's Day. This is understandable, but the limited menu was not posted anywhere. What is especially unacceptable is that the exact same dishes cost $10 more on the special Valentine's Day menu. It had been a few weeks since we made the reservation so we couldn't confirm this until we got home. I would have loved to see a manager try to explain why the exact same dishes should cost almost twice as much. This really put a damper on the whole experience.
The food was good and there was plenty of it. The service was very rushed and the bar was backed up, but I would attribute these to what you expect on Valentine's Day.
