Restaurants near Easy Street

I have lived about 1.5 hours away from seattle for 30 years. I have never tried this restaurant before but have always wanted to try it and now I have. I thought it was located elsewhere in post alley But we found it very easily. This is a wonderful restaurant. It is very pretty inside as you walk through. We went for lunch. We each had a drink, one with alcohol, one without. The Dicky and Hello Madame President (I can only hope). They were very good. My husband had the papparedelle bolognese which he enjoyed. I had a tiny taste, I have had better elsewhere but these n.w. seafood was just plain delicious. That halibut was beautiful. I wished I had more, even though the serving was not small. The sauce was great and the peppers were not spicy as I thought they would be. I would order that again any day. I really didn’t know what to have, several good looking things on the menu. Glad I had this.

Wine and food were outstanding as was our server, Erin. I had the Milanese chicken and it was superb. Hoist House never disappoints. Only downside was we couldn’t sit out on the patio because of the bees and wasps. Hopefully they will be gone soon.

Service was a bit slow as they were very busy, but we didn't care. Staff, food, ambience, piano all fabulous. Big portions. Wonderful experience.

Service and food was exceptional! We were celebrating my friends birthday and even though we did not have room for dessert our server brought my friend a pretty bowl of whipped cream with a candle for her to blow out! The steelhead quinoa salad and specialty cocktail were delicious!

Outstanding food! Highest quality, large portions and to die for choices. The true definition of the "local gem" label.
