Lovely food, nice setting and very friendly service

Arrived with my Husband for our 25th Wedding Anniversary , we had a warm welcome & directed to the waiting area were are drinks order was taken along with our food order from the set menu I was undecided on my main’s & the waitress highly recommended the beef bourguignon & I have to say it was a great choice , we were escorted to our table we both ordered 3 courses & they were all fabulous, the staff are very professional & attentive all in all a great experience & we shall be returning well done.

We stayed over at Herons Mead for a couple of nights to celebrate our sons bday. We had breakfast and an evening meal at The Hide (on site at Herons Mead) and we were very impressed with the friendly staff and the food. Our evening meals were fantastic, very tasty and generous portions... faultless service and friendly staff.

We were given a table which was not ideal at all. There was two of us and the stable was a small 2 seater bench table agains a dividing wall. We were right on the main walk way coming into the pub. We asked if we could move as we saw a few tables that were empty. They said they couldn’t as they were booked. We ordered the meat shared plus 3 bar snacks and it was impossible to fit it on our table. We had to stack things on a ledge along with our drinks. Spoilt it for us as the food was lovely and really good value for money but the table was not ideal at all. Whilst trying to eat our food and have a conversation there were people queuing for the bar right next to us and then other people coming in were knocking us as they were ere trying to get past
