"Casa Hidalgo is probably the best dining choice in the Cuernavaca Centro. The restaurant overlooks the Zocalo from the second floor with balconies and also has an outdoor patio on the Zocalo (which can often be noisy). The service is attentive without being intrusive. The menu is a good mixture of typical Mexican dishes at prices under $10 and a robust selection of less common, more interesting dishes with prices between $10 and $15. Dinner for 2 with a couple of drinks, an appetizer to share, and entrees will run $50-$60 including tip."See more

"The restaurant was very good as was the service. I was disappointed as they did not have a wine they offered nor did they have the dish that was listed on the menu that I wanted to order. It was the camarones con sandia y feta. When I asked if the chef could still prepare it was maybe tomatoes instead, the waitress said it was not possible. I only eat fish/shellfish, so it was a bit of a hassle. I ended up eating the pizza instead, which was good, a little greasy, but good and not really want I would have wanted. Otherwise, the ambiance was good and my daughter enjoyed her meal."See more
