From start to finish our Afternoon Tea experience at The Ivy in Edinburgh was wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The food was delicious, from the tasty sandwiches to the scones and amazing chocolate cake! We enjoyed every mouthful but had to take the chocolate bombs and truffles home as we were so full.

Cold town house rooftop bar is beautiful and gave holiday chill vibes. The staff where extremely busy but lovely and gave a good service. I didn't manage to try the food as after only 2 hours we were asked to leave due to another booking slot. I felt 2 hours for a party of 6 to eat and drink was not long energy and usually a booking would be at least 3 hours. I had tried to phone ahead of the booking to query the amount of time and make drink arrangements as it was a snall hen party.,but you cannot speak to anyone and the voicemail is full. If I had of known the booking slots are 2 hours only. I would have requested a double booking and been happy to organise a drink package etc if required to secure. I will definitely go back, I jst felt for a larger party it was a shame to have to leave so early and before food. I gave a 5 star rating for food based on other guests food looking and smelling great.

Excellent experience all round. 4 of us shared 5 starters, 4 mains and 3 desserts as well as a bottle of Greek White Wine. Great service in a nice casual manner. Overall we were all impressed.
