'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. La Plata is all about the steaks for us. Best cuts of meat beautifully cooked. Sauces are good too (chimichurri especially). Good chips (french fries or chunky) well cooked. Puds good too. Always consistent. Lucky to have this as a local restaurant. Great to be able to walk home too. So pleased it survived covid era and still with us today.
