Restaurants near Best Western White House Inn

This was our first time eating here but had heard good things. When we first came in the music was a bit loud but the waitstaff person was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and wine offerings. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely; the food presentation was beautiful and delcious. We will definitely be coming back again.

Another amazing evening at the Tarratine! If you have not had the pleasure of experiencing this beautiful historical restaurant, I would highly recommend it. We had a party of 4 so were able to partake in 4 entree items as well as 2 wonderful appetizers. The Brussel Sprouts and Crab Cake appetizers are a must. For our entrees, the Filet Mignon with its black garlic and chive compound butter was stellar, the Gulf of Maine Salmon was elegant in presentation and delicious, the Scallops and Risotto was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the Poached Pear Walnut salad was so well done with the honey mustard dressing and balsamic reduction. The dessert tray arrived after the amazing entrees. What a treat to see the deserts presented before you make your selection. I would highly recommend the Pistachio cheesecake and the Creme Brulee. I have had the Chocolate Flourless Torte in the past and it is also another personal favorite. The staff are so welcoming and professional. They give a dining experience that is second to none. Take the time to walk through the stunning building. The history and charming details are an experience within itself. The crown jewel of the Tarratine is rooftop seating that overlooks downtown Bangor. What a great treat after a long week to stop in and partake in their wonderful list of specialty cocktails and appetizers! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Food as always was great. The steak Dianne was the best thing I’ve ever had there and that’s saying a lot concerning everything I have had in the past has been excellent. Thank you also for making classic cocktails the way they should be made.

Very good discovery in Bangor. We order Pizzas, Chicago style was amazing, and Fish and chips that my eldest son loved it. The service was great. Very good value for money in a very informal fancy American style place. Will come back.

We traveled over five hours from Massachusetts to check out a local college and stayed overnight in Bangor. My nephew loves BWW and it was a great time to relax with him after a long day. The food was perfect and the wait staff was great. Highly recommended
