Fab service, vibe, drinks, food. Only negative was our wok fried seafood noodles that tasted very inauthentic. Skip that and go with the sichuan classics!

I recently visited Ruben’s for Afternoon Tea, and overall, the experience was delightful. The ambiance was charming, the tea selection was exquisite, and the pastries were beautifully presented and delicious. However, our arrival was met with some confusion. The hostess informed us there was no availability for several days, despite many visibly empty tables. We were offered seats in the back bar, and being eager to enjoy tea, we accepted. While seated, I checked OpenTable and saw ample availability. I booked online immediately and politely asked the hostess why we were initially told otherwise. Her response was vague, which left a poor first impression. That said, once we were seated, the service and food exceeded expectations. I do hope management takes note of this inconsistency at the front of house, as it detracts from an otherwise lovely experience. I would recommend Afternoon Tea at Ruben’s for the quality of the fare and atmosphere—just be sure to book online in advance or avoid the incompetent hostess.

Very nicely surprised by cost and value. Really nice food. Quite busy but not loud and noisy. Had a really nice evening and the staff were great.
