In showing this building some love, local businesswoman Shoes Simes has said that she hopes to help make her pub more food-led and family-friendly. In doing so she hopes to turn this local building of historical importance into an establishment for local families and friends to enjoy together. It all started 13 years ago when she first saw the building and she knew straight away that this was the pub for her and finally her dreams have come true, with a full refurbishment, this pub is now ready to be revealed to Eastbourne in all its glory. Once functioning as an old Moot Court, eventually turning into a restaurant in the 1970s, before it boomed as a pub trading as The Rainbow. It eventually changed to The Counting House and saw a new lease of life as the garden grew to be a popular haunt of all in old town.     Bacon eggs Benedict tasted great and was big portion size so good value for money. However, upon arrival we were given a completly different menu as to what showed online, which did have a lot of changes so does need to be updated online. Coffee was nice but could have been a little hotter. Perfect spot for breakfast with a view.

    Our meal at the Thai Marina was outstanding. The food was beautiful and served very promptly. The service and manner from all staff was fantastic, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and vibe. My husband and I can’t wait to visit again.

    Always a good time had at Bill’s. A friendly team and pleasant environement. The food is always to a good standard and great coffee. If I was being picky and was looking for areas of improvement - the children’s size breakfast had no bacon which is a tad stingy. Also we sat under the double glazed atrium and the glass was covered in guano. This doesn’t make for pleasant viewing when eating. I do appreciate this is probably a challenge to keep clean given the location.
