The staff were amazing but the restaurant was really warm inside. A hot day but really warm. Service charge was 12.5 this time. 10 percent is acceptable but felt this was high. Higher than most places so will affect our choice for going back based on that.

We were immediately seated at a lovely table overlooking the river. The menu is extensive—both overwhelming and novel—so we chose the tapas platter for the whole table (three of us). The beer and wine list had interesting and unusual offerings. Service was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very attentive—clearly a young team keen to impress. All the tapas items were delicious and well prepared. The chef’s talent shines through in the variety and finesse of each dish. The dessert menu, in contrast, was simple—just three choices: chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, and lemon posset. We all had the posset and found it outstanding. While not inexpensive, the meal offered excellent value and was thoroughly enjoyed. This restaurant clearly aims to impress and bring a touch of sophistication to the food scene in this county town.
