Ruthie's is one of our favorites for celebrating a special occasion. Many thanks to our fantastic server Evan for making our night celebrating our son's birthday very special and memorable! We are a food allergy family and also appreciated him ensuring everything on our table was safe for all of us to enjoy. We had a lovely table near the windows and also enjoyed a beautiful sunset. All of our dishes (crab cake, lobster bisque, Caesar salad, filet, sea bass, NY strip, chicken, steak frites and garlic mashed potatoes) were delicious and we enjoyed sampling from each other's plates! Had a nice steak dinner the night before running the Quad Cities Half Marathon. The filet was excellent, and they weren't kidding about the "large" baked potato that was cooked perfectly. The meal was a little pricey, but perfectly cooked and very tasty.

Midway Duck Inn is a hidden dining gem. A great menu. I love their whole friend catfish but I tried the pan fried chicken this time. It was good. A little dry but still good. Catfish is my favorite. Love the corn fritters!! Just a suggestion: you have a great side salad that comes with most dinners. It has good lettuce and I like the fact the added veggies are on the side. Your salad would be perfect if you could maybe have it be half romaine and half what you use now. It’s hard to chew and really not much flavor but definitely a little romaine would be the perfect balance!! I love to eat there!!
